CLOSED & CREATING!
Youre invited to join our 4th NEPA Stamp & Swap, a day of stamping, friendship & fun! We have a lot planned so please read everything & if you have any questions, PLEASE ASK! This forum will be our main way of communicating including the final numbers and other information for the event. Its a good idea to subscribe to this event & also check-in here even after the event is closed for updates
The theme for our event is "In The Meadow We Can Build A Snowmanof course the holiday season is on everyones mind now..isnt it? Its not mandatory but you can include the theme in your shoebox project or any of the swaps.
COST $25.00 per person. Registration must be paid no later than 5 pm on Saturday, October 6th. This will allow 5 weeks to prepare! You may wonder "what does $25 get me?" It gets the venue, bottled water, paper products, and a small gift bag, plus a fun day with some really great people, a chance to use new ideas and enjoy our hobby. All funds collected will be spent on the event.
REGISTRATION - Mail your registration form and payment to Lou Ann McGuire (address is on the form). There are NO REFUNDS, but you may offer your spot to someone else. Your registration is complete when your payment is received.
***The registration form is attached at the end of this post***
So heres the plan:
MANDATORY SHOE BOX (TABLE) PROJECT Bring your idea and all the supplies (pre-cut but NOT pre-stamped) needed for 23 people to make your project the day of the event. QUALITY PRODUCTS ARE A MUST! Make these something youd be thrilled to get yourself. ALL the shoebox projects will be set out in the morning. YOU will move, YOUR PROJECT will not. GOOD DIRECTIONS WILL NEED TO BE POSTED BY YOUR SHOEBOX unless its obvious what to do. Remember to include your name & SCS name on your directions. You will need to bring TWO completed shoebox projects (which includes 1 hostess thank you and one for your table so that everyone can follow it for directions). This project will generally be a full card, with layers and embellishment(s) or a simple 3D item. Please provide any special adhesive that's needed. When you know what your shoebox project is, please post a name for it here or send me a PM. We will all have a checklist the day of the event. Projects should take NO MORE THAN 5-10 minutes to complete. You should also bring extra parts to fix any "oopies". ******************************************** PLEASE MAKE UP 23 KITS!!! PLUS 2 COMPLETED!
******************************************** SWAPS You must participate in ONE swap. Youll know how many to make when we post the final counts. The deadline will allow 5 weeks to prepare for the event:
Swap #1 - Artist Trading Coins Final Count =15 Info in Post #4.
 Swap #2 - 6X6 Recipe Card - Final Count = 8 Info in Post #5.
Swap #3 - Christmas Card (full card) Final Count = 17 - Info in Post #6.
 Swap #4 - 3D Ornament (NO glass) Final Count = 7 - Info in Post #7.
Swap #5 - Gift Card or Money Holder Final Count = 9 - Info in Post #8.
CONTEST We want to see if "In The Meadow We Can Build A Snowman"! We will have an area set up to enter your shoebox project, your swap(s) or any other project you've made but it needs to use the theme. I suggest making an additional item since votes will be cast through lunch. The winner will be announced prior to the end of the event. Cant wait to see what everyone comes up with!!
FOOD There is a refrigerator but no oven. Please indicate on the registration form the specific food item you will bring to share. Ideas: breakfast items, lunch items, including salads, desserts and snacks. We love to try your homemade food specialties! Bottled water will be provided; please bring your own soda, etc.
DOOR PRIZES - Our goal is to have something for everyone. Donations for door prizes are welcome.
GIFT SWAP - This is not mandatory but if you would like to participate bring a gift related to our stamping passion. Everyone who brings a gift to swap will also leave with one. Value on these should be in the $5-10 range, and stamped projects are always appreciated! If its something youd like to take home, its probably perfect! Be sure to include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank. Wrap it up prettily so itll be a surprise until were done swapping. REMEMBER: Stamping-related!!!
EMBOSSING AREA We will have areas set up with a heat tool & Big Shots for embossing/cutting so no need to bring your own. You will need to bring the embossing powders for your project with a tray/paper plate, etc. or embossing folders/dies for your project.
NAME TAGS Since we all want to make new friends, please bring a name tag & include your SCS name if you have one. Stamped handmade name tags are beautiful & fun to see how creative we can get but we will have generic name tags available too. Or you can bring that cutie you received if you attended last year!
GARAGE SALE - Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin' Up! items must be offered for trade only but you can sell retired items. We're going to give this a try but there is a limited amount of room so please only bring 1 tote. There will be a few tables but if you can leave your items in a tote there will be chairs to set it on. Make sure you label your items and tote with your name so buyers know who to pay. Payment arrangements are between you & the buyer(s). We are not responsible for missing items so bring at your own risk. There is no fee to sell or trade at this event.
OTHER Please bring your own labeled items for your personal stamping needs, including LOTS of your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just cant stamp without, like: bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straight edge, stamp cleaner! Don't forget your camera!
Artist Trading Coins are new & similar to an Artist Trading Card except they're round. The coins can be stored in the same size sleeves as an ATC because they are 2 1/2" in diameter. Here's a YouTube video that explain how to make them.
For the ATCoin swap, are people thinking they will make all the same/matching or make all similar with something slightly different? Looking at YouTube and Pinterest every ATCoin looks different. I like the idea of similar but different! I am going to start playing with my idea this morning.

We really haven't talked about it so I would say whatever you feel like doing. I like the idea of doing them similar but slightly different too.
Got your registration & thanks for the beautiful card!!
The deadline is this Saturday & all the swaps have been updated. Would you please check to make sure I've listed everything correctly for you. Let me know of any changes by Sunday so I can post the final numbers.
We've got 5 weeks to create! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with especially for the ATCoins!!
My ATC coins are all the same design.
My shoebox is "Walking in a Winter Wonderland", unless someone has already taken that. Still having trouble navigating Splitcoast so I didn't see a list of shoebox titles.

I only had a few so I hadn't listed them yet. They're done now.
