Woo! Hoo! Good for you Stacy! That's something I've never tried and don't particularly want to! I would be on the ground more than I'd be on my feet! I bet it was cool though to be skiing while it was snowing!

The best part was when you were completely in fear of going down a slope and flying by was a 5 year old

Stacy - glad you enjoyed the skiing.
Cindy - sorry you and your husband were sick but glad it was a short term one. Still takes a lot out of you.
Hey guys - Panxatawny Phil is sooooo cute tho. Dont shoot him.
I think the first snowstorm would have sufficed for this winter. Geeze, I guess I'll have to cancel my workout trainer tomorrow morning. Sad face...heheheheheh.
Hope you all get to stay snuggled in tomorrow - if you want. Sorry about the kiddos being home.
talk to you tomorrow.

Default Snow Day? Did you say Snow Day? Snow Day?

Yeah well you want to know what really bites? When you are up since 4......spent 15 minutes out in the snow at 5 looking for hubby's cell phone because he dropped it and didn't know till he got to work, call the snow line and they say we are open, get showered and come to work, only to find, they changed the decision and open at 10...................now that bites! So here I am, at work............working.............what a sap. Hope you all enjoy the pretty while it lasts because it really is a pretty snow, much as I hate the snow........and Rose, I still say shoot the little bugger. I hope everyone is doing a spring theme for the Laurel swap......I need some spring right now. Oh, and I did finally find hubby's phone after calling it and wandering around the driveway for a bit. I am sure the neighbors wondered about me. Okay, now I am working on turning those limes into smiles ......................

Yes, I have to go in- or I can take a leave day...I'm still deciding if I'm going in. I really have nothing to do! I don't have to be there till 10.

Each year we get the first 2 code blue days off, but we used those up before Christmas.

Oh no Jane - on both accounts, but glad you made it in to work safely and found hubby's cell! Let the neighbors wonder! I too say shoot the groundhog! I am so ready for spring weather - I had a nice little taste of it last month when we went to Florida and I am way more than ready! Yes, the white stuff (I just can't bring my self to say that four letter word!) is pretty, but enough is more than enough!

We are only on a two hour delay up here...but I am happy with that so I can still go grocery shopping, so I am happy Stacy, I don't mind the snow either, but much of that is because I no longer have a long commute. When I lived on Meade and worked in VA snow was not friend.

Hi everyone. I didn't sleep well last night and tried to sleep in a bit this morning. DH got up early and shoveled us out. Now DS is shoveling the sidewalks. It is so cold. What is this news about more snow over the weekend. I'll fly into MS on Friday, supposed to be raining but clear off for the weekend. I hope I don't get a flight delay on Friday morning. It is going to be a long long day. Can hardly wait to hug (kick) Craig.

Have a great day, have to vacuum and do the laundry. Maybe stamp time this afternoon.

Hugs to all, stay warm! PS Shoot the darn ground hog!

There is no reason the kids couldn't have had a 2-hour late opening. When I came in at 10- the roads were just wet...even my side road was fine...what a waste...

However, I did hear that Friday/Saturday's storm could possibly bring 12-15" of snow, THEN, Tuesday/Wednesday we could get another 12"! And I also heard there is even ANOTHER storm to follow next week's storm! Geez...This is getting ridiculous! Hey, Al Gore- what happened to Global Warming???

Oh, by the way Stacy, way to go! Did you ski at all or just slide down hills on your backside? I am proud that you even tried it.

You know how things do not happen when you are prepared? Well....DH is on his way back from dropping off our snowblower for a tune-up. He should be able to pick it up tomorrow, so we will be prepared. Hopefully that means he won't get to use it! (please....)

HI Jamie;

Not really sure what to make of your post. Are you refering to a Big Shot machine? The Big Kick is the same machine just packaged a bit differently.

I own a big shot express and a bind it all. Love them both and use them both pretty much daily. Do you have some questions?

Are you in Maryland, if so welcome to a fun group of stampers!

Mary,

Just curious, where are you getting this information. I was talking to DH about this and checked weather channel and see nothing in regard to how much accumulation we can expect. Is there another (probally better) source for weather?

Thanks in advance!

I will pass that on. I am sure he would be honored to 'do the duty!' although it may make his newly tuned up snowblower messy...

My AP gets email weather updates from, I think, it's WBAL (Accuweather) and the latest update from then said 17-23" for Friday/Saturday.

DS (who should have been a meterologist!) gets it from NOAA- his latest model says 17-26".

You guys will never guess what else the snow blew in last night. DH found a little half frozen kitten in his work parking lot last night. He took her to the vet office. They called today I went and picked her up (and the bill). Not sure what we are going to do yet but we couldn't let her go last night. They said she's good other than she is under weight and a little young not to have a mommy but she is eating wet food so they sent her home. Gosh I never noticed how big Keke is until I was handed this little one. Now I'm thinking Keke may need that adult diet food. She is quiet PO with the little one being here. Oh and to top it off she looks just like Keke.

Oh, boy! A new baby in the house...have fun!

Oh, by the way Stacy, way to go! Did you ski at all or just slide down hills on your backside? I am proud that you even tried it.
Thanks Jane! Actually I was doing pretty good! My first fall was just learning to turn and slow down and the second was due to another skiier cutting me off...#3 was just from exhaustion lol

I went down the big beginner hill many times, the first time was hiliarious, before our lesson so i did not know how to stop so i went straight down like i was on fire or had a rocket strapped to my arse. all the other times were at a much slower pace, the best lesson i learned from the instructor was how to get up fast after falling
