Thank you ladies. Now I will try not to hose up the challenge for next month.

Kimmie, the girls looks so cute. Love the pictures. TFS

Paula ,your puppy is the cutest. I am sure that is green beer he is slurping off his snout. How did you git that active little fellow to set there with that hat on or were you just quick with the camera. lol

Congratulations Gloria!

That's Rose's doggie Toby. You saw how wiggly my Sadie girl is & you're right I'd probably never get her to sit still with a hat on! She'd be eating that hat!

Kimme what adorable pics of your girls.

Enjoy this beautiful day girls. Time for lunch. Water aerobics made me hungry!

Thanks again everyone. Do we want to do a color challenge this time. How about some spring colors----Pink, green and yellow. Sound good? And lets set the date for April 9th. That gives us three weeks. Voting will end April 10th at 9 o'clock. Everyone has been voting twice if they participated and once if they didn't. So are we ready-----Go

Oh dear, the house smells crapy right now, I have every single window open and decided earlier this morning to clean my oven. Dang, its been a while. You can smell the grease and crap burning off. Trust me it is long past due for a good ol inceneration. Hopefully by time kids and hub gets home it won't be stinky. But then again, thank goodness for febreeze!

I'm just now starting laundry. I am gonna pulverize that kid of mine. He (Chad) shoved all his clothes from last wash day under his bed. Pay bak may be him finishing up the massive mountain of laundry we have piled up.

It is such a beautiful day, I keep going outside just for a "fix" of sunshine!

Does any one else need Clear Bags? If so PM or email me and I'll get an order together.

Have a great afternoon. Craig decided he wanted to come home this weekend which means he can finally finish cleaning out his room.

When I originally called to see if we could have her by christmas, the lady who answered said Of course we would love to see her home for xmas. But it's up to the board to approve your app. I asked if there were apps and she said no. Then after several emails and calls over a course of about 2 weeks a final email after christmas said that the pup had several apps and that if we were getting this email then we were not selected.

My husband and I were disgusted with the process here to adopt a pet. We are from Michigan and our rescue would let you walk out with a pet the same day. You apply with all the paperwork and then pay the fees and the pet is yours. Here we were told that it's due to the high rate of returns that they have such a lengthy process. I just can't understand how one animal gets 5 applications and has to wait so long to go home. I imagine that applicants 1-4 change their minds and #5 probably moves on like we did thinking that we would never hear from them. All those pups just sitting there..

Sorry I'm done rambling..

April, I'm really sorry they put you through that, I know when we adopted Sammy from the PG Animal Shelter we had to put in our application, then every family member had to go there with our other dogs to have an interaction before they would let us adopt him. I had never been through that before either, I was always able to bring the pet home the same day. Your situation sounds much more complicated and like you said, very lengthy, while the poor animals just sit there waiting. I'm glad you got a puppy though, you'll have to post a pic of your new little guy!

This is not right!! The boy scouts should check with me to see if I have anything going on before they schedule the pine wood derby. I want to be in the class at Amanda's.

Default Congratulations All Around

Gloria, congrats on the challenge win! Nice job, talented lady!
Mary, Loretta & Tracy, congrats on being published. I guess I am more worried about getting a card made than published.......
Sorry to miss the fun today. DH is now safely home from the hospital and we just need to wait for results. My hugs to all.

Gloria, I agree, people need to consult about things so we don't have these date conflicts!

What a fun day....and I wasn't missed around here one bit. They went for a picnic lunch of Chic-Fil-A at the duck pond, and played on the super playground there, got covered in mud in their new school dresses and pants, and then went to Dairy Queen. Clothes were washed by time I got home (most the mud came out) and there was a gallon of sweet tea in the fridge, so all is good

Projects today were great Amanda (like we knew they would be) and it was a lot of fun. Wish you all could have joined us.

Hi girls! Glad some of you had a good time at Amanda's. Amanda, can you post the projects to your blog, so those you couldn't make it can see please?

Mom and I enjoyed the day up at Stampede in York at a Copics certification class with Clear and Simple Stamps. Still a little unsure of the shading/blending, but I'm sure with practice that will be easier. It was a fun day and really nice to meet the owners of Clear and Simple Stamps that is based out of Gaithersburg.

Hope you all have a great evening. Waiting for DH to get home from mudding in the jeep all day. He and our neighbor went up to an off road park in PA in their jeeps. I'm sure they had a lot of fun and mud.

OK, now for more details on my card blitz. I don't think I can post an announcement thread, but will post it here for you all to see and ask that you get the word out.

Westminster Maryland Card Making Blitz
To Benefit Operation Write Home
Date: May 1, 2010
Time: 10-1, 2-5 or 6-9 (you can sign up for any time slot or stay for the day)
What is it: A day to make hand crafted cards for Operation Write Home to send to their contacts across the globe so that our Heroes can stay in contact with their loved ones.
Cost: $10 per person
Details: Just like a Shoe Box Swap I am asking card makers to bring supplies, a sample card and typed instructions for 20 cards (you may bring multiple designs as long as there is a sample and instructions for each design) and a basic stamping kit. Those without card making experience are also welcomed to attend. I will have several kits ready for any skill level.
So how is this event different? Instead of taking home the cards you have made at the event, we will be collecting them to send to Operation Write Home. Bring your cameras or sketch pads so that you can still be inspired by the cards present and you can recreate them at home for your own use.
What if I can’t make it on May 1? If you still want to help out there are a few things you can do.
1) Make up some card kits to be used at the event (you don’t need to send me your stamps, just prepare the cardstock and materials and if I don’t have the same stamps I will substitute with something similar.)
2) You can make some cards with your friends and get them to me before the blitz to be included in the box.
3) Go through your card collection at home and see if there are any cards you would be willing to donate.
4) Contact me via pm and we can make arrangements to host an event at your house at a better time.
