I am still working on the album. I must be close to $100. I have been a little frustrated with the lady doing the tutorials but I am getting there. Are you ready for this!!!! I am working on the last set of pages and next should be the covers. Whew, I never thought I would see the day. I am on number 10 tutorial. Not sure the number of them, 15 I think. Lots anyway.
OMG Gloria. Cant wait to see the album.
Jane, Pete's cats have sent him some emails hinting at how deserving I am and he should be thoughtful. BUT being a male, he hasnt taken action. To be honest, I am used to being treated with more respect from the men in my life (except my son). I am used to getting very nice gifts. And now that Toby is deaf, that is his excuse. he doesnt HEAR me. LOL.
Hope everyone is having a nice day. I just woke up from falling asleep in my desk chair and sleeping about an hour. geesh.

Men will use any excuse possible to get out of shopping for a gift. I know personally.
BTW I got the inside of the journal done. Now just the covers.
Gloria, have you logged how many hours it took? I can't imagne. Rose, next time I am over your way I will bring a hug and a hint for Toby but I agree with Gloria, men use excuese for not shopping unless it is for themselves... sigh! Got lots done this week-end, fall cleaning, laudry, shopping, ironing....errands..............busy busy busy. Now I think I will rest!

My Labor Day weekend was just that too. I labored doing cleaning instead of playing which is what I really wanted to do. Oh well, I guess you have to clean once in a while. Fortunately, my cats don't complain and were happy that I stayed home. Rose, I will ask my girls to talk to Toby again to see if maybe the third time is the charm. Gloria, you probably don't want to add up the hours and $$ that you spent making that journal but it really is beautiful so far.
Hi everyone. Theresa, your card is gorgeous! I absolutely love red roses.
Had a quiet Labor Day weekend. Didn't feel as good as I has earlier in the week but am back to my old self again. I'm not sure if my daughter thinks so though.
I love the gifts from pets. Mine always give me something for my "life events." Unfortunately they can't afford what I really want and since my college-aged daughter is the one taking them shopping, I can't expect much. I just wish they would behave. My cat figured out how to jump up to the top of the curtain rod on the window over my bed. She would perch there and survey the room teasing one of the dogs unmercifully. But Saturday night about 2am, she landed a little hard and knocked the rod off the bracket and the whole thing fell down on top of me. It's a good thing she's so cute. BTW, no people were injured during this trick.
And people wonder why I call our house Planet Bedlam!
Aye, that it is Amanda and I just happen to have a brownie......just saying! Such little things that make me so happy! Cindy..........did you untie your husband yet? That would make him happy. LOL! Gloria needs to finish her album with all the bits and pieces of left over paper or she will go broke! Toby and the cats and having a confab....just chatting it up about Christmas....wonder what they are up to? Belle gave me a present today....lots of licks!

I have to get a pet. I love presents.
Today I went up to Photo Scraps. They had a can of Eclips Cutting Mat Adhesive. I got a can and I will tell you how it works. It sounds great. Says that you can use it on most types of cutter mats. After spraying it on you only have to wait 5 minutes until you can use it. I paid $13.50 but if it works it will save lots of $$ on new mats.
Now if you were a die that I bought on line and you arrived in the mail, where would I have put you? Anyone?

Gloria, do you mean the mats used for Cricut? If so, that would be great.
And you probably put the die in with the other "D" stuff, lol.
Yay. Album is done. Like everyone else, I cant wait to see it either. Hope whoever its for will appreciate it.
Hope this nice weather continues.
Just got back from having an MRI on my knee. Wasnt too bad because my head was sticking out and they had a big lighted picture on the ceiling of cherry blossoms. Brought some sweet memories back..

When I had an MRI on my knee all I had to do was sit up on a table and prop my knee up against a box of sorts...so much better than the tube!
Good morning knees peoples. Amanda, Mary, Rose....you all got okay knees now? Gloria, can't wait to see the album. For the time and money, I hope you love it and fill it with special personal memories to leave to your children in 50 years. That would be spectacular! Trying, yet again, to do some organizing......notice that little word.......trying because it is a continuing work in progress and I never seem to see positive results. Sigh.................back to work. It is hump day and I am probably going to need a push to get through the week....anyone care to push me? No, not kick me in the butt, just some gentle tugs to make it through the week. I don't know about anyone else but I think I spend more time organizing than I do enjoying my toys : (:(

Good morning,
Toby is outside w/the mobile groomer getting beautified. In reality, getting de-knotted. He looks so cute w/his long hair but its so thick it is hard to brush or comb thru and with his skin condition I decided to get him cut backl, his hair that is.
I dont know the results of my MRI yet. mary, I like your method better but not sure I could sit that long w/o moving. This tube was bigger but I still dont think I could have done it w/my head in there. I just didnt want to have to askMichelle to take off work if i had to take a tranq.
Jane, I know you can make it thru to Fri. you are energetic and young!
Jane, Im with you when you say seems like all you ever do is organize, or try to. You at least do get some cards done.
Gloria, I wonder if there are people who come to your house to do your hair? hmmmm....no, that gives me an excuse to go out as i spend way too much time here alone. Have to say I liked the salon better that Michael owned. More gossip since he knew everyone really well. lol.
I seem to always be organizing too yet nothing ever seems to get organized. And whenever I put something away in a good place, I can never find it when I need it. I think I am doomed to live in chaos.
Got great news from my surgeon. My cancer was grade 1 and completely contained without invading the surrounding tissues. So no need for chemo or radiation. I plan on celebrating that news very soon.
On Wednesday my daughter accompanied me on a trip to the Eastern Shore to drop off a basket party for my Scentsy business. I had taken along a few opera tapes that I hadn't listened to in ages and thought it might be a good chance to listen to them. Mary would just plug in her earphones and listen to her I-pod. To my surprise, she listened to Carmen with me And to my greater surprise, she admitted to recognizing several of the songs. I was thrilled thinking that somewhere she had actually picked up some culture. My thrills were dashed when she told me they were ringtones on her cell phone.
Reading about the mobile groomer is making me feel guilty about how shaggy my 3 little buddies are getting. I thought about a mobile groomer but always thought it would be too expensive. Any info about it would be appreciated. My little ones nearly have strokes when we pull into the PetSmart parking lot. You would think they were going to be tortured!
Mornin' all. Can someone bring me some Dunkin Donuts and coffee please?
Michelle and I are going to look at a couple venues for next year's party. That girl forcese me to follow thru on things. Humph! Then we might go to PhotoScraps.
Sue, I thinkthe groomer is expensive but I dont remember how much it was at Petco. It is $70 for a cocker spaniel and I give them a $10 tip. This time he was out there about an hour and a half. I was beginning to worry. He has so much hair and it was longer than it has been in a very long time as last time he didnt get much cut. Now he looks like a black lab! LOL. But I can see now that he has lost some wt. iwas wondering why he didnt look thinner since has been on a diet for a couple months. Now he looks just right.
I finally got the Relay for Life cards ready to go to the Claudia Mayer Center. I wanted to make it attractive and now the proceeds will go to them instead of the Relay since it was cancelled. I put them away and then forgot about them for awhile.
Thanks Rose for the info. The mobile groomer is a little more than PetSmart. But with 3 dogs, that little turns into a lot. Guess I'll just keep on going to PetSmart. They have done a good job at least 85% of the time. Two of the dogs can't stand still. The other one, the one who is usually hyperactive, is the best. He keeps giving high fives to the groomer. At least they are friendly and don't attack the groomers. You brought up the issue of tipping the groomer. I have never completely resolved it. Is it expected that the groomers at PetSmart be tipped? If so, how much? Anyone have any ideas?
Suzanne, I never tipped the Petsmart groomers. In fact, I never even thought of it.
I dont really know anything about cocker spaniel grooming so i dont know if they're any good ornot. Im not always happy. he doesnt like other dogs tho and im not comfortable going thru Petsmart w/him. But Im thinking I might do it.
I dont remember what kind of dogs you have, but do they need grooming often? There is a dog place across the street from me that has the rooms where you can wash the dogs yourself. No grooming, just bathing. I took Toby there a couple times. the tubs are high and have a ramp up into the tub and a door slides shut.
My dogs need grooming much more than they get. Two of them are Shih-Tzu mixes and the third is a LhasaPoo. They range in size from 12 - 20 pounds although the biggest one is on a diet. He gets diet treats instead of regular ones. lol They don't shed but that's the only advantage. They should be groomed no less than every 10 weeks. I try to push it to 12-14 because with 3, it's quite an investment. When their hair gets so long that it interferes with sight, I get the guilts and take them in. That will be very soon. I have to coordinate with my daughter. The last time I took all 3 in by myself. That was quite an adventure! I think they planned how they would each go in a different direction, then wind themselves around my legs so I couldn't move. It was quite a sight. I have never tipped the groomers at PetSmart either. I just wanted someone else's opinion as to what might be expected. Maybe at Christmas time I'll take them some cookies.
I can't seem to get my body and sleeping patterns back to Maryland time...I'm all out of sorts. Still playing catch up and stressing out about it. I have a Cigar Box class to teach this weekend at a neighbor's house...I am sooo not ready. Then I have to figure out my SS card, SBS card, ribbon card, and design team card by next Saturday....and I have no free days at all next week as I am working on my one day off and have closing/settlement on my cabin on the other. And I need to try to take a trip to the cabin one day this week to retrieve some things and drop off some things. I don't know if I can do it all. Whine, whine, whine, whine, whine....

Sounds like you really need some wine. Gosh, can you put some of that stuff off.

Well, the only thing I can put off is the shoe box swap and the ribbon card - that would not make me happy. I took a trip to the cabin yesterday, so that is done. I'm committed to the class on Sunday before work; I have a motorcycle ride fundraiser on Saturday morning before work, and I have to go to settlement next Friday on my day off. I suppose I could skip my design team obligation...but I just don't want to do that. I have tomorrow to work on some things, so we'll see what I accomplish, if anything.
Guess what? Designed my SBS card and started cutting out the pieces! Don't get too excited as I'm not done, but at least there is hope that I will make it to the SBS on Saturday (I was honestly gonna cancel....)
