Mary, are you feeling ok? You haven't posted to your blog for a week now! Or are you working on something that you can't show us yet? BTW, I got two of the Sherrod Studio sets, the Thanksgiving one and the Christmas Trees, they just came the other day. I can't wait to use them!
I'm fine...just haven't had much time to stamp this week! Wayne has to work again tomorrow so I'll be stamping- I have to make a card for Sherrod Studios' brand new Tuesday Throwdown blog hop, plus I need to make my shaving cream card. I just finished making the paper...I took pictures, was going to do a picture tutorial on it, but the stupid camera won't upload the pictures. It keeps telling me that they're already uploaded when I KNOW that they're not! ARGGH!
Glad you liked Sherrod Studio's sets. I love coloring the images!
Mary; I bought a spare camera battery just so I could take a couple of pics at the ladies tea, thank goodness, the one in the camera died but I was prepared with the back up. Best $16 I spent in a while.
DH got really GREAT news today after nearly 3 years of fighting (pulling teeth bad) he was finally awarded his VA disability. It was worth the struggle.
If your hubby even snores a little sleep apnea is worth 50% in disability which relates to dollars, insist (make him) out process on time and have all labs, booboo's aches pains and etc., documented you won't have to go through the bells and whistles we did.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful fall weekend. Thurmont was gorgeous, yesterday. It spit, twice, but not for long each time. So, the weather was nice and crisp. Just made my pasta salad, to take to my monthly scrapbook crop. Will be heading out to that, in a bit. Will have to try to get shaving cream, on the way home, to partake in the challenge...Amazingly, I DO have my card ready for the November SBS!! I know, kinda working backwards, in terms of priority....I do manage to get there, eventually...
Oh, MYYY - no wonder it felt cold out this morning, on our walk - it is 37 degrees out right now!!
Yes, it IS quite chilly out!! This fall weather is getting me in the soup mood! I'm actually going to make a big pot of bean and ham soup for dinner today.
I'm getting ready to go up and make my shaving cream card...I couldn't find the rest of my reinkers so I used the 2 I found- Pixie Pink and Night of Navy. Hope it turns out okay! Can't wait to see everyone else's creations!!

You were probably <20 back road minutes away from me If DH was home I would have gone and stalked you ;)

I was thinking the same thing yesterday, that I need to make a big pot of soup! Since I remembered the Chicken Corn Soup at Thurmont I'm thinking of making some Chicken Corn Noodle soup! But Bean and Ham sounds good too!

It is chilly out! I made a big ol' pot of chilli for dinner last night, it was so good. Think we'll have that for lunch. Bean and Ham soup is so yummy, I'll bring dessert!
Is there a main BRAK list some where? I'd like to at least try and RAK off a few of the birtdays. Any word on the lady who usually gets our assignments out? I hope everything is ok.
John is out renting a steam cleaner for the carpets now so I plan on hiding in the girl cave.. have lots to do/start/catch up on/stock up on.
Tracy: upon closer inspection I really like some of those papers I bought from you. I just can't believe i bought MORE DP knowing I have a buge ton of it all ready.
Kathi: I'll be home all day today and tomorrow if you are passing by this way. If not I do have to get out and do some shopping one day this week to prepare a mountain of food for two starving Mids so maybe we can stop by and drop off your goodies.
Amanda, love the card and the tribute......total 60's hippy child, that would be me. I actually had a fringed suede vest and leather "panda paw" shoes...and a huge belt buckle! I was so danged cool.....now I hae a long haired son who is taking my place as the family hippy. He's a doll.
Your shaving cream paper came out great. I love the colors. I think it has been amazing to see the differences in each dipping. Soup...........ooohhhh, that's what I will have for dinner! Perfect. Just need to figure out what type. Have you all ever made Celebration Soup? Giant used to actually sell the veggies in a bag but it's just as easy to buy them separate and make it.

Not sure that I will get my card done today :( If I try it, you know I will have "helpers." Not sure if I am up to that much clean up today. I have been especially lazy this weekend. I will have to shake my grove thing tomorrow to get the cleaning done before dh gets home, but that's ok, I deserve a break, hehe.
Okay, here's my card...I could only find my Pixie Pink and Night of Navy reinkers...so that's what I had to use...at least they're somewhat compatible!

Mary, I really like those colors and they made for a great background and it works nicely with that little lady. Nice work. All cards must be posted by 8 and voting ends tomorrow night at 7......get on the stick all! A wonderful prize awaits the winner.

This also qualifies for the C4C Challenge this week to make a Thanksgiving card in honor of Canadian Thanksgiving tomorrow. We are going to walk it over to my neighbors tonight who are Canadian.
Kimme, I love the colors, bold and striking. Isn't it amazing what they do when you combine them? I really had a lot of fun with this challenge. I am so glad the Michelle, Mary's daughter, did that card at the Laurel swap. It is not something I would do all the time but it sure was fun to try. I love the colors and what a nice tribute to your neighbors. I know they will love it.

Beautiful card, Kimmmee. I really love the richness of the colors!
okay you Military peeps, want a good laugh? I just got asked if a guy who is NOT married can get a compassionate reassignment because she's pregnant.....
Just getting back from New Jersey and trying to read through what I missed. Guess I won't be in this challenge round. I did make the paper, but still have to make the card, find the camera and take a picture and now I see I am already over an hour past the deadline. (I was counting on a midnight deadline...) It's fun seeing what you all did with the challenge. I will still make a card and post, but since I missed the deadline, I will not make myself crazier tonight... Can I still vote without participating???
