Growing up, my mommy used to tell me, If it hurts, don't do it.... I wonder if she meant to include getting up for work??? Just a thought.... Today already hurts!!!!!!

I think headaches are in the air. Youngest woke up on fire with a headache along with oldest and middle son...grrrr! Was able to drug up three and still get them out, but the youngest is still hot and whinny....just my luck. That's what I get planning a day of alone quite cleaning and stamping!

Hi everyone!

Sorry so many are sick, headaches, etc! Tracy it so so sucks to have a whiney hot kid. Hope he feels better soon. Maybe you can still do some stamping, but I think the house work should just wait!

Off to Ladies Bible study, so I'll catch you guys later this afternoon.

Take care!

Well it's been a hell of a night around here last night, won't go into details but the grandson is now back living at home with his mother and step-father, just too many issues for us old grandparents to deal with anymore. I've got a headache too today from crying all night with worrying about his future. Why can't kids realize how good they have it and just do what is asked of them? I wish I had it half as good growing up as the kids today, but maybe that's the problem, maybe they've got it TOO good and don't have any sense of responsibility. Well, one bright spot to the whole thing is that my food bill will go down considerably....

Kathi;

I'll pray for you and your grandson. The teens today don't have the sense God gave a goofer. It's sad. Then you try and steer them in the right direction. It is kinda sad.

You never know, maybe mom and step dad are just the ticket. I know what a huge difference Mike (step dad to my kids) has made. The boys will quickly tell you that they are better people because of his influence, guidance and love.

Hang in there! Hugs!

It's been a LONG day.... I've been at Walter Reed all day. Good news pre-op stuff is done. Still on for the 21st I have a team of three Doc's doing my surgery who knew it would take 3 doc's? Weird. They are going to make me stay over night....Not happy about that at all. No driving for 2 weeks (we'll see). She said pack an over night bag.....do you think she's talking about clothes or stamps. I think I'll take stamps should be fun stamping on morphine (sp?). I can just see your faces opening those cards.....Having a *** is this moment.

Off to not eat before my WW meeting tonight. We ate lunch at Walter Reed and I used all my points for the day The cake was yummy (hangs head in shame)

Amanda; It is taking three docs probally because the way they will do the surgery. Have them check your bladder and suspend it if necessary. Otherwise you'll have to go back for a separate procedure. Take it from the expert.(me).

Tracy; Can you do Chinese on the WW diet if you're real careful? I'm in the mood for it as well!

Okay Sticky stuff is in.

Amanda, will have yours tonight for WW.

Dawnmarie if DH is working on Meade tomorrow he is welcome to pick up yours, just let me know time frame.

Everyone else if I don't see you prior to the 26th I will pass them out at the swap.

Off to feed the kiddos, before head to the scale.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, hugs and prayers. It's been a trying day for sure but I'm hopeful that things will work out in the end. It's just not the best environment in my opinion so I'm thankful that he only has one more year in school and then he is free to move back out and hopefully join the military as he's talked about for some time now. I guess no matter how old they get you never stop worrying about them!

Amanda, you may not feel like it now but you may be happy to stay over that one night once the surgery is done just so you can get some rest, the anesthesia can make you really tired. And you might be pleasantly surprised, you may not have as much pain as you think. I had absolutely no pain after my extensive bladder surgery last summer and the previous surgeries were relatively pain-free too, just a little discomfort but no real pain.

I'm sure you'll do fine at WW tonite, today's lunch won't show up on the scale for a couple of days and you'll have the rest of the week to make up for it!

Tracy, I am embarassed to say I just found your check was still here yesterday. I went to put it in the mail and found that the carrier came early today (that NEVER happens!) It will go out tomorrow - I am so sorry!

Good luck at WW tonight...

Hey ladies, have any of you gone to Transformations just off post by the Weis? I used to go there when they first opened and loved it. I wish we had one here. They have childcare certain times of the day Amanda if you needed to take Nate, and their personal training sessions are included, they also have Physicians Weight Loss, tanning and massages. The thing I really liked about it was that I would set up a weigh-in session each month and it kept me going because I didn't want to gain between measurements. The best class for me was "Butts and Guts" it hit the areas we need most. In fact, when they did the C-section for the twins all the Doctors (all women) asked how much I worked out because even as distended as my belly had become it took 2 of them to pull apart my stomach muscles because they were so toned and tight. As I said, I wish they had one here as I would love to be in that kind of shape again. The owner and manager are really sweet and are their own success story as they have gone through some major weight loss before becoming trainers and opening their own gym. They accommodate women of all ages and abilities and it is a very fun atmosphere. There are locations in Catonsville and Pasadena as well. You may want to check it out.

The Tranformations in Pasadena is right off Ritchie Hwy at the intersection of Ritchie and Jumpers, behind the Dunkin' Donuts (how appropriate?!) I used to go there when it was Dynamic Women but quit before the change. Curves worked for me, too (when I went!).

Mmmm - that is one of my fave dishes!!! Is this the place on Pikes-whatever road??? Have not been to that one. Sure wish I could join. But, noooo - will be secluded with other peoples' children all day. Didn't get home until 8:30 tonight. Had their back to school night. Ugh. 14 hours at work - was not fun!

Congrats on the card challenge win Kimmie!
Kathi, prayers are being sent up.
Amanda and Traci: WOW on the lb droppage! That is fantastic.
I am still working on losing the 3lbs I gained at Cindy's swap before I attend the Laurel swap on top of the everyday lbs I am always trying to loose...

So, have you been going to the real gym, or the one at the community center?

I used to go to Dynamic Women too and loved their step classes! I also went to Curves for a while too and both worked for me when I went! Gee, funny how that works huh???

Well, when it rains it pours! Since 6:00 last night Rusty has had 3 seizures, the last one being at 5:00 this morning which is why I'm up so early! So it's back to the vet today to get him back on the meds. It's very strange though, he had his first one last year on 9/5 during the time when we were expecting that hurricane (can't remember the name), then had several more that weekend and over the next two weeks. We put him on meds and gradually were able to wean him off them over time. He hasn't had any seizures for almost a year and now all of a sudden here he is again having them almost to the day a year later. And there's a very low pressure system sitting off the coast. Coincidence? I'm wondering if there's something in that little brain of his that is triggered by these low pressure systems during the month of September? Just seems very strange to me!

I think you are correct in making the connection, I really do. Animals sense storms and the change in weather. - Just like people who get weather migraines (me). I used to work underground in HI, when I was in the Navy. I could tell you when it was raining outside - just from the pain in my head. My parents' dogs feel storms waaaay before they arrive. Rusty seems very sensitive to them, in general. Maybe, he could take the medication seasonally, like with allergy meds. I hope he has a better day.

Oh, poor Rusty. You've really had a couple of pretty rough days...hang in there.

Kunia, Huh? lovely base. I wish John would get sent there permanently instead of just going TAD and graciously allowing me to pay my own way there.
wasn't gonna complain though, his room at the Hale Koa was covered and they paid for a rental car. so after he was doen for the day we explored.
