Awesome storage Kimme! I've seen it before, but your take is pretty neat!

I use these oversized jars and have to dig for the ribbon now, its kinda fun though -- like a treasure hunt.

Please pray for my BIL his name is Dave. My DH and I are really concerned he might do something to hurt himself or others and are starting to take appropriate actions to have him taken in for a psych eval. He was in the hospital down in VA but now we are not sure where he is. Mike has to go to VA today, it will be the first time ever I feel I have to keep the doors locked. Kinda sad! Pray that God will give him peace.

If anyone is going to do that ribbon storage I have a couple of short cuts My rotary cutter will go through 2 pieces of chip at once and the crop-a-dile will punch through 3 chips easily. I think it could actually do more but any more than that is too thick to get in and out easily. So you can make the spools really fast.

The Car repair gods were generous.. less than a thousand dollars for towing, new battery and brake stuff.

our cut off was $3K. anymore than that and we would have just gone ahead and bought a new car. I won't even have to dip into savings now. and Sunday's dinner at Melting Pot won't have to be our last meal out for a while heheheheh

Oh that would be nice, but move it closer to us here!

Ran to Michael's didn't find much, but used my 40% off to buy Chad an OTT light for his desk. Like two years ago they had the same style light in designer colors for like $40.00. They have gone up in price for sure.

Working on a designer never ending card, will publish pics on the blog later today so stay tuned!

Is anyone around for lunch tomorrow?!

Hugs,

Is that the kind of fever where you're too sick to go back to school tomorrow?

We're back! We pulled in this morning and headed straight to bed for much needed sleep. (we left at 10 last night and I was up all day, only dozing off a few times in the car) Now to unpack and get back to life in MD...

We had those nasty teeny tiny ants in the kitchen so we emptied the cupboards and sprayed poisin before we left. Now to wash everything and put back into the cupboards. Maybe I will find a few things we can live without and rearrange too...

apparently lol she is up there now napping...I think she is just tired and got a headache, apparently her new teacher is not sympathetic at all either, she asked to go to the nurse twice and was told to just wait til she got home and I could take care of it, her teacher this year is not what I would call nurturing LOL

Awww...the teacher could have been a little more understanding, afterall it's the 2nd day of school and might be a bit stressful for her.

I'm wondering how my grandson made out, today was his first day since he's a senior and they have a new cell phone policy, no phones can be in sight or they will be confiscated and the parents have to pick them up. I've already warned him if his gets confiscated that he'll be waiting a loooong time till I pick it up!

Glad you made it back safely Jeaneen! If those teeny ants you are talking about are a light brown in color they are called Pharoah Ants and hard to get rid of. If you find that they return in a few weeks let me know, I'll try to remember the name of the stuff I had to use to get rid of them. It comes in a bottle and you have to paint it all around the cracks where they might come in but it finally did the trick!

What grade is she in Stacy?

Sometimes they have to take a 'big kid' pill and get over it! I know my boys tried all kinds of stuff when they where younger. "I'd rather play, mommy" sorry kid you're going to school!

Hope it gets better!

Gee Kathi, they are so tiny I can't tell what color! old eyes... Sure hope they are GONE, but just in case, I would love to find out what you used that worked. DH sprayed all thoughout the kitchen as well as the walls that are common to the kitchen, by the doors and then around the whole house outside.

I just remembered the name of the stuff I used to get rid of the Pharoah ants, it's called TERRO, I got it at ACE Hardware but I'm sure other places have it if you need to get it. There's a bunch of stuff online you can read about it and how these little buggers operate, they're not your usual garden variety ants unfortunately! I hope these are not the ones you have Jeaneen!

We have used Terro before, but it was thick stuff we dropped on pieces of cardstock and laid the pieces out for the ants - they were attracted like magnets to the goo, ate it and died. DH didn't want those little things around so he sprayed instead.

We've had a heck of a time here with ants and now I have a Terminex plan where they come out and spray 4 times a year. Our bug lady is really nice too and when she saw that we were re-landscaping last year gave us some pointers as to which plants to avoid to keep the ants at bay. AND since we have a plan if the bugs return between sprayings she will come back out and respray. We actually had to do that this year. She ended up spraying some stuff inside as well as outside.

Loving it! And most of all I love that it is all uniform. No more dealing with different sized spools.

Terro is awesome. We would walk around the yard, in NJ, and put drops of it into the ant mounds. We always got it at Wal-Mart... Lovely, MY class had to have the first case of LICE - LOL!!! no worries - as soon as she was scratching - and I mean she was going to town!! - I sent her to the nurse. She was absent yesterday... I can't believe the 2nd day feels like the 93rd.

Yikes! I sure don't miss those days when the kiddos were in elem school and we would get *those* letters from the nurse about a 'child in your child's class...'. I went out and bought the special shampoo just in case (and unfortunately did have to use it once!)

I'm FINALLY able to tell my exciting news! Well, it's exciting for ME, anyway!!! I was selected to be one of Bombshell Stamps' Pin-Up Girls for their Design Team!!! I am Ms. November!!! I'll be a guest designer for the month of November. I had applied for the 'regular' design team, which I didn't make, but I'm VERY happy with this!!!

For those of you who might be interested, if you sign up as a registered user on Bombshell's brand new forum, you'll receive a coupon code for 20% off your order. The forum has only been open for about a week. Go to www.bombshellstamps.com to check out their stamps and to check out the forum. Shannon, the owner, has some exciting ideas for new stamps to be coming out soon...
