Gee, Mary you are dangerous (and making me hungry!) There is another Italian Restuarant in Glen Burnie where we have had good crab cakes before - although I think that they used to be better. I can't think of the name now I will have to ask DH when he gets home - his office (He used to work at the Coast Guard Yard) went there quite a bit for parties.

No problem (hope I don't jinx myself for saying so) with SCS today...

Is it Romano's? DH's mom loves their crabcakes...I wasn't that impressed with the restaurant at all...but only been there a couple of times.

Yup! That's the one! I have been there a few times and thought the crabcakes were good, but the last time I was there I just wasn't as pleased.

Nope, not my birthday and yup, it's in November. I am just saying how I express my gentle aging process.......of course, I will be a little older than that but it's such a fun way to say it! I love G & M's crabcakes. They were written up in the Washington Post last week because they have 2 8 oz. crabcakes for $25.......and they are quite good. In addition, they have a variety of other good idshes on the menu so you can satisfy everyone's taste. My niece's manfriend wants CRABCAKES! So I thought this was the place to go. I do like them. I am wondering what the ladies are up to now. I hope they ate great in the Amish country! I plan to send my niece through that are on their drive home. I am so glad you are home safe Jeanene and that your mom made the trip okay. Rose, you are just too cute! The Boston Fans are rabid, being from there I would know this. I like going just for the fun of going because all sports are about money. I do like Baltimore sports better because they appear to be more family friendly, in both football and baseball! Hugs to all and hope all the ladies no matter if they are in Amish country or local are having a great time.

Is G&M a little place that looks like nothing on the outside, off of Security? If so, that's where we went for dinner when ALL the girls in my family came down for my baby non-shower. (Rather than a party they took me shopping and we bought out Burlington at Arun Mills, then they went shopping for themselves.)

G & M is off of Hammonds Ferry Road in Linthicum. Not sure if there is another G & M in Security or not.

G & M is on West Nursery and Hammonds Ferry Rd. in Linthicum. The Washington Post did a nice write up about crab cakes last week and they rated it well. I have been there and we always get the double crab cake and take them home for lunch the next day. I thought Christine and brian would enjoy it so......if they ever get back from baltimore and the stadium tour and all, we will go! Sounds like you had a fun baby shower, but I don't think it was at G & M!

OK, I meant West Nursery Rd....and yes, that's the place. The crab cakes were really tasty, but at that point I ate anything and everything put in front of me The crab soup was good too from what I remember.

Yep that sounds like the right place. The crab cakes are excellent, and quite heavy. Are you drooling yet?

Speaking of the power of suggestion....Mary do you have any of the Inky Impressions Stamps yet? I just got mine today and they are sooooo very cute. My girls looked at the images and said, "Look, that's me and that's Sissy." I can tell I am going to have a lot of fun with them. AND she threw in some ribbon with my order. Gotta love it. A Cleveland girl who gives you ribbon to play with....I may have found my long lost twin

They might have stopped for dinner on the way home...the shops closed at 3pm, I think, so if they stopped and then had to come home, they should be getting home soon...

Jeaneen;

Just about! I am exhausted. We had a blast, bought tons of stuff, and ate, joked, laughed and well....

Good to be home, but I am calling it an early night. Gonna take a bath, fix my 'elixar' and go to bed!

I don't think Amish country will ever be the same again! LOL As Loretta said, we had a blast! Bought lots of stuff cheap! Cindy was the ultimate tour guide, we rode all over Amish Country, it was beautiful and we learned a lot of interesting things about the Amish people and their culture. We all wondered how long we would last if we had to live like they do. I know I wouldn't last a day with no airconditioning! They do have some big, beautiful homes though! I'm pretty tired too even though I did sneak a little nap in the back of the van! But it was an absolutely fantastic day with great shopping, camaraderie and FOOD! Ask us about the Whoopie Pies! LOL

Thanks again Cindy for a truly fun and interesting day, and thank you Tracy for being our chauffeur! Amanda and Loretta, thanks for your great company too! I can't wait to go again!

They're EZ Mount cushion mounted- deeply etched red rubber- very well made. The girls I know who have them already say they stamp very clean and 'crisply'. I'd say the standing girls are about 3-1/2 to 4" tall or so?

I'm not at my stamp desk right now, but they are about the same size as a Bella, but with lots of fine detail. The sentiments were a little smaller than I anticipated, but that's ok, because they will be easy to fit in a punch. They are Cling mounted and the image index sheet for the girls that is in the pouch with the stamp is laminated so the stamp clings to it and you can put them directly into your organizer.

Yep, storming here now too! At first I wasn't sure if it was thunder or an airplane! With living so close to BWI I can't always tell!

Ahhhhh I had so much fun on the Amish trip! THANK YOU CINDY! It was a blast. I'm still eating the yummy baked goodies. I can't get over everything being 1/2 the price we pay around here! Yes EVERYTHING from Prima's, Stamps, cling foam everything half the price. I can't wait to go back! The place we stopped for lunch was really good homestyle country cookin. I think we stopped at 7 stores and several roadside stands and I still have a pile of stuff to put away.

THANK YOU AGAIN CINDY! Can't wait to go again!
