Thanks Kathi!

I'm so frustrated. Gonna kill my DH's boss. Dumb nuts don't know what they are doing.

Mike has jumped thorough so many hoops to go to Afganistan, orders, medical etc., and even a waiver concerning his CPAP. Goes to the medical review only to find out because of the severity of his Apnea he is pretty much screwed for deployment.

I feel like this company has screwed our entire family around. First he deploys in Feb., now finally July. We could have planned a vacation.,etc.

We'll still keep our plans to go to Cape May, NJ for the weekend, and after that Mike is going to find another job. It will be at a loss of income for us which sucks, but we'll be fine.

Thanks for letting me vent. Sent prayers Mike's way. He was looking forward to going. If there is a chance for him to deploy it is in all of our prayers. So please pray he can go.

Loretta

Sorry to hear everything that's happening with your family and Mike's deployment.

Good that you're keeping your plans to go to Cape May. Where are you staying??? I love Cape May. We stayed at the Angel of the Sea- a fabulous B & B in the quiet part of town.

We are staying at a resort called sea crest. It looks beautiful. Spendy but gives us time to re-group and relax.

I took a quick nap and feel much better now. Need to finish up my DSS gift so it can go postal tomorrow.

Hugs!

I'm so sorry Loretta to hear what is now happening at the last minute. I hope things work out so Mike can still go, I will keep him in my prayers. I love Cape May too, we spent part of our honeymoon there and have been back several times since. We stayed at a great B&B on Myrtle Ave., it was quiet there as well. For the life of me I can't remember the name of it but it used to be a sanctuary for rescued cats which was really cool. The owners sold it several years ago due to the wife's deteriorating health and the new owners didn't keep it as a cat sanctuary. I'm glad you are still planning on going, enjoy your weekend!

Good Morning, to all. Tracy, I hope you guys have a blast at the movies! We can't wait to go see Harry. We will be going first showing Friday. Today, we're going to 6 Flags - we are hoping everyone is going to go see Harry, instead of being there!!

Just got my lazy bones out of bed. Is it too late to crawl back in?

Sitting around waiting for the carpet people to come. Its beautiful out. We have the house opened up.

Hugs,

Anyone care to tell me how/why my 10month old is wearing 24 month clothes? The shorts are a little roomy in the waist (stretched out by her sisters) but the shirt just fits.

On Evan's first Birthday he was wearing a 3T outfit. I know it's crazy they do slow down Evan is only about a foot taller than his fellow Pre K'ers now.

I bought a bunch of stuff from Childrens place at the beginning of summer and when I was sorting thru the clothes you cannot tell Amanda's 24 month from Alison's 4T shorts LOL I think they just tag the same clothes different sizes!!! With that said my chunky 18 month old is well into a 3T and wears Ali's size 4 clothes comfortably!!

Reminder to anyone (speaking of clothes) that does gymbucks it is redemption time!!!

Oh you guys with your little toddlers. They are precious.

You should see my monster, he is 14 (will be 15 October 16) and is 6'1/2" (probally taller if he would actually stand up straight).

We no longer shop in the boys department, he wears a 29"X32 pant and a mans medium (sometimes large according to the cut)shirt.

I have a nasty bruise on my left upper arm, da** dog, scooted around me and I ran into the door jam with a big load of laundry. Clumsey! I hate Mike will come home to a nasty bruise.

Speaking of which, keep praying, there is still a chance he can deploy next week. He wants to go and support this mission.

*Finallly* got my new SU catty. A bit disapointed in the stamps, but the new punches are fun! Do you guys like the "in colors" what are your favorites?

Stamp happy!

I wasn't actually thrilled with the catalog, either, but LOVE the In Colors. I've not seen them 'in person', yet, but I really like what I see! I ordered the assortment pack to make sure I like them all before I order single packs...and then I forgot about the textured paper! Oh, well, there WILL be other orders!

I like the in colors too, I just haven't seen them in person yet. I have a list of what I "need", meaning of course "have to have".

Hey Kimme, What formula did you use for p'nut? We have been playing with several but even a splash on the tongue leads to spit up....any info would be much appreciated!

well if Brown Likes me more than he Likes Tracy,I should have my IC stuff Friday ish...so I will let you all know if I like the new colors or not then.

in the meantime I have a "so unofficial I shouldn't even THINK about planning around it" date for homecoming.

But oh so nice to pretend.....even for a little while....

Have you tried Gentlease? It is what I ended up using for the girls and for her. She still spit a great deal, but it settled her down. I also have had to add rice cereal to her bottles to thicken it up and prevent screaming fits. I mix 1 scoop of rice cereal per scoop of formula.

I found that they all spit up until they hit the 9 month mark. As soon as their stomach and leg muscles were strong enough to let them stand they stopped spitting.

Oh, and my old Pediatrician swore by Nestle Good Start but it did nothing for the twins. I didn't mind the spitting so much with them as the chronic constipation which can be a side effect from soy formula, and of course from adding rice, but I can even it out with Kerri with prunes. The girls ate prunes for 2 years with little to no effects, but we think that is because their system never developed the muscles properly because they were on soy for so long and the dang Dr wouldn't switch them, and I didn't know any better.

Count me with you my friend. I LOVE the in colors. This is the first time in awhile that I have been gaga over them. I still miss True Thyme and Marigold Morning! I am in mourning for them. I'm still trying to figure out my first order but it will certainly incorporate the in colors.

My all-time favorite In-Color was Cool Carribean. LOVED that one!! I think I'm really going to like the melon and raspberry colors...just gotta learn the 'official' names!

Thanks! I may buy some gentlease...I bought some Soy formula to mix with the Similac because all that did was make her yak hahahahaha sorry couldnt resist. None of my babies other than Ali really spit up, and this one only does it with formula - which is bad with me being gone next week!! She actually kept a bottle down tonight so I am keeping my fingers crossed the mixture is okay. I have some of that carnation (cant turn down anything free) so I may use that to mix with the similac until I run through it all (they have sent me the best coupons LOL)

I had problems with Devon and formula. It got to the point that she would cry when she saw the bottle - she knew what she was in for...Carnation Good Start worked for us. She had been on Enfamil and another major brand. She was never a good burper - felt like I was gonna put my hand through her back!! Carnation, the way it is processed, has another step - so it is broken down a bit more - easier on the digestive system. Once we switched - the projectile events stopped. That was a happy day! So, we used Carnation formula for babies, and also the next step up they have. It took me a long time to remember, too, NOT to put her in the bouncy set - turned on - right after eating...Dang!!

Stacy, I also have some Enfamil AR (anti reflux has rice already mixed in) that I bought and never tried. My girls were very gassy and lived on Mylicon until we started the Gentlease. I can sympathize though, when I tried switching formulas the Dr had me use the Nutramigen first and I have never seen projectile like that, plus they refused it and only ate enough to stay nourished. But I am so cheap I made them stay on it for the full 3 days it took to deplete the cans because that stuff is EXPENSIVE. Oh, and did I mention it was 2 kids SCREAMING for 3 days and J was deployed After that I asked the Dr if I could switch one at a time, and that is when I found the Gentlease on my own. I have found that most Dr's know very little about formula other then what the reps give them as samples. Most seem to be very quick to jump to soy when there really are other options. FYI: The Gentlease is partially broken down AND lactose reduced.
