Oh you lucky dog you!!!! Are you SURE there's no vacancies there????
Well, there IS one secretary I'd love to fire and hire YOU! Too bad it's not up to ME!
If we worked together, we'd never get any work done between talking of stamping and motorcycles or being on SCS!!
okay I ordered a few of the hambo's she is close, shipping was cheap, and she is FAST. I could not resist some of the sale/retiring deals so I will let you know how they are! I just have to figure out the foam thing
Janeen and Jane, I received your card kits today! I can't wait to make them! I hope to get mine in the mail by the weekend!! (Jane, LOVED the fancy-dancy envie you sent it it!)
Just a quick note to say I am glad you all are chatty. It is fun catching up. Working for a living is not all that it's cracked up to be, is it Kathi! Michelle, you keep me laughing. I am so glad you joined us. I will be away the next few days (working...) but wanted to check in and send my thoughts and hugs! Dawnmarie.......what can I say? I tried to behave and they still throw me under the bus! I stayed away from any bad comments! Amanda, try to behave Friday....hard, I know. What time is the sale Saturday? We want to try to come! And where is it?

Glad you got it. Thanks for letting me know. Have fun!
I hope Rusty is okay too, mom's dog was shaking so bad she could barely walk (mom rode out a hurricane in Florida in a trailer once and apparently that traumatized her).
Well sister in law and her fam is on their way to NYC so my house is back and I am busy working! I did do a small order with Hambo about 40ish and shipping was around $2 and she has already shipped. So if these stamps are decent I am in love with this company!!! Thanks so much for the link Michelle!!

yeah mine was painfully screaming but I could not pass up the sale / retiring stuff. I am working on my list of regular priced items and I asked her to put me on her mailing list so maybe she will email me some sales/coupons every now and then cause there is a BUNCH I want
A quick good morning. Mary, I am glad you got my card. I didn't quite know how to write out the instructions so I will tell you that I flipped the rip if that is any help. Sun today and off tomorrow....for Baltimore. Enjoy the next few days and I will catch up when I get back.

WhoooHoooo! DH's vasectomy is FINALLY booked! He goes in on the 24th day before ribbon outlet day. Should make for some colorful discussion. Anyone's Hubby had this done? Will he need leave? He has the 25th off but will he need more than one day?

Amanda, I don't know anyone that I can ask but here's what I found at healthcarecenter.net
Whichever method a man chooses, the vasectomy recovery time should include some swelling for a few days. He may also experience some pain that lasts anywhere from a few days to a week. However, the vasectomy recovery time that includes doing day to day activities is almost immediate. Therefore, given that he doesn't have too demanding of a job, a man may be able to return to work almost immediately.
It is important to note, though, that even though the vasectomy recovery time is so short, sperm may remain in a man's ejaculate following a vasectomy for up to three months. He should have his semen tested to determine the levels of sperm to prevent from getting his partner pregnant during this vasectomy recovery time.
Might want to be careful for a while
I checked a couple other sites and this info seems to be the consensus.

My gf's husband didn't follow the 3 days rest rule and was helping her lift kids and wrestle with them etc (despite her telling him not to) because he didn't feel "too bad" and isn't the type to sit still. It ended up making him feel worse and took him weeks to feel "normal" again. When they say to do nothing for 3 days they mean it.
And on follow up....My BIL had it done right after my sister had kid #3. There are 14 months between #3 and #4...the procedure "didn't take." He went to a different Dr the second time he had it done and my sister got her tubes tied. They weren't taking any more chances.
Amanda- I had an IUD put in recently- I almost passed out, it hurt so bad- I came home and told DH that next time it's his turn!
This is what he looked like:shock: LOL

Well at least he has several years until his turn...
hmm.. what about this Tack N Peel stuff instead of EZ Mount? supposedly it goes directly on the acrylic blocks and you can use it even with bare rubber.....
gonna need something soon, my stamps should be here like any day....

You can use Aileen's Tack it Over applied to the rubber and then you can put the stamp in whatever storage cases you use.
You can use Aileen's Tack it Over applied to the rubber and then you can put the stamp in whatever storage cases you use.
You can also use Mono Multi (green and white bottle) and let it dry first before trying to attach to the acrylic block - makes it tacky enough to stay until peeled off. I did that for a while, but found I preferred the foam cushion, so now use ez mount... Good luck!

Kathi how did poor Rusty do yesterday? that second storm that blew through was pretty bad.. the lightening was soooo close to the house.
Luckily my son was off yesterday so he was home with him. But apparently we didn't get it too bad in Ferndale, Rob said we only had a few sprinkles and a little thunder. But as I left work yesterday it was just starting in Lanham and I drove through Bowie and Crofton in a horrendous storm, the lightning and thunder were incredible! And the roads were so full of water it was a little scary at times but I made it home safe and sound!
Thanks so much for asking about Rusty, it really means a lot to me to know you guys worry about him too!

Michelle, I had one put in years ago after my daughter was born and you're right, I thought I was going to pass out too! Not the most fun thing to do!
How come it's always us that have to endure all the pain??????
Haven't had much computer time - my sister was here from FL - she went home today; my mom is staying with us - she goes home tomorrow and my dog Molly, a 12 year old Scottish terrier is having bladder problems. She had x-rays yesterday that were inconclusive so she had to have an ultrasound today. I'll get the results tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed that it's something that's treatable and that it won't cost me an arm and a leg to treat it! It's already cost me big bucks for the x-rays and ultrasound, but she's my baby and worth it.
Is lunch still on for Friday at 12:30? I'm looking forward to finally meeting some of you.
Time for bed. I'm taking my 87 year old mom shopping tomorrow for a dress for my nephew's wedding so I need to rest up and to pray for patience!

I had to go to Andrew AFB yesterday (my dad is in the hospital there). Took my mom to visit him. Good ride down with not too much traffic (we left about 2:10) and only took us about 40 minutes to get there...coming home, though, was a different story! Traffic was heavy on 495 (we left Andrews about 5:20) but at least was moving. Traffic on 295, though, was horrible! Southbound 295 was closed due to a bus being down in the ditch in the median (sure glad we were coming north!) and I guess everyone had to rubberneck. Once we were past that traffic cleared and we started to roll. Still only took us about 50 minutes to get home. Luckily, we missed the rain...we saw some lightning on the way and got spit on a bit, but I got her home and then I got home before and real rains came. Boy, we sure are having a bunch of bad thunderstorms here lately!

Sorry to hear about your dog's ailments. Hope all works out well!
