I am just finding this thread about Raleigh-area get togethers. I live in Durham. I would like to know more about the Jan. get together. Location, time, etc. If I missed part of the thread with this info, feel free to redirect me. I am excited. I am a part of a yahoo group for NC demos but most of the gatherings are in Winston-Salem, Kernersville, or Charlotte. I was hoping for something closer to home. I would love to help out by bringing something to offset the costs of lunch or whatever you need. Thanks for hosting!
Where? I live in Rocky Mount, NC....I would love to meet other SCSers!!! Is this an already existing group? I want to stamp with ya!!!
Come on and join us...Here is the link to see who and where the hostesses are for the surrounding area. 'Duckwaddlequack' (Angie) hosted the November one in Raleigh. "MollyDr" (Molly) is hosting the Decemeber and January in Sanford. Hmmmmm....we don't have anyone coordinating from Rocky Mount...maybe you would be interested.
Hello all! I live in Sanford and am so excited to see more signing up for this one! I want to get invites out for this one shortly - please let know your addy if you have not already - I am going to plan some exciting thigns for this one!!!

I'd love to come to the gathering on 1/12. I live in Chapel Hill, NC and discovered stamping last year on Super Bowl Sunday (well didn't discover it really so much as learned how to do it and make it fun...).
Please send me details - corginole at gmail dot com.
So far no dog show or cub scout conflicts on that day (Yippee!).

Omigosh..you are not going to tell us until NEXT WEEK!!! ;)
I think I'll be able to make it to this one. Sorry I had to miss December's get-together. But my DH should be out of town for work the weekend of 1/12, so I'll be free to stamp to my heart's content. :-D

Hi Molly...I would love to join you all on January 12th. Do you have a head count so far? How about directions to the church fellowship hall? Let me know what I can bring (food, drinks, etc.) Looking forward to it.
Sue
I am looking forward to coming. I have not done one of these before.
I have a cricut machine (last year's style) and several cartridges and a cuttle bug with several embossing folders. Does anyone want me to bring them so you can play with them- in case you don't aleady have them....?
You will not miss anything by not staying overnight - no one is just stamping all day.
NVR on EVERYTHING!!!!!
You basically will bring anything you could ever need or fit in your car to stamp what you want all day - of the challenges have something you don't have - you can trade with someone to get what you need - we are all nice people!
IF I get to come, and I wanna I wanna I wanna....LOL...
I also have a bug, but have not used it yet, and several diecut things and one or two emb. folders...and I have a crop-a-dile too...but I would have to get someone to bring the bug inside for me if there are stairs as I have a birth defect of hip/limp....and use a cane sometimes...but not always...
IF I do come...and I *am* leaning towards coming, could I do like half a dozen mini-projects for my part of the shoebox type-swap?
Right now I am leaning towards:
--Christmas Ornaments using the SU scallop punch and possibly another punch I have...(who SAYS we can't start early THIS year???!!! LOL!)...
--K and Co. Tags that are window tags...could be hung as a mini-picture sort of...
--another kind of tags that I am hoping to get permission from the Artist to share with you all...
--Magnets
--Inchies Card Candy
--Bookmarks
How does that sound???
And y'all PRAY that I get permission from the artist to do the tags....they are way too CUTE!!!
You might as well put me down that I am coming...
Teena
PS--by the way...none of these are hard to do...NOT rocket science! So...I will have enough supplies for everyone to make at least two or three of each project if they want...
YAY! I secured permission from the artist to use her ideas and to print out a copy of the ideas to pass out to y'all!!! All I have to do is put a link to her website on the pages that I give you!
Can you see that I love anything but a card stuff? LOL!!!
Hi All - any suggestions would be appreciated. This will be my first time participating in this type of swap. What types of things do people typically do? And how does one prepare for it?
I can only speak from the things I have experienced...
I am sure that someone who has been to Molly's crops/gatherings can speak better than me...but for my experience...
Generally, you bring what you want to work on...In other words if you are making valentine cards for instance, you could bring those to work on.
We all are bringing something to share with the group and that can be cardmaking, etc...
Some of the MUST HAVES for personal use would be...
Trimmer, scissors, adhesive, pop a dots, scoring blade for trimmer if need be, and if you are stamping, stamps, inks, cardstock, etc...for your personal use.
Molly or someone mentioned that if you get there and you have forgotten something, people are wiling to share with you...
I would add to bring embellishments also...
I am not sure if there are any finished swaps going on, but I do know there will be challenges...
Molly should be either posting more info here, or on the first post on this thread....
Hope that helps... And I hope I did not confuse you to pieces!!!
HI all Molly thanks for listing me some how I was not on the thread and have missed the boat! I will totally have to get my but in gear! Can not wait to meet all of you and share ideas and what nots!! Happy New Year to all!
