there are 6 rooms blocked, so I don't have a people count, but probably 14 people I would guess. i'm trying to see if I can get over for stampin & scrappin at night, but I have to see how the week goes. i sure want to since I just joined a coaster book swap!
and yes, I'm cutting 90 cause as Lisa stated, we're providing 40 for each group!
I got my gift swap partially done last night and I just have the two layer pieces done so far, but I was able to do some contortional moves to get to my cardstock sorter (it's on the other side of the store room...I mean stamp room) and I had to stand on one of those wooden drawer thingys from ikea, but I got the main body of the card cardstock out of the depths without hurting my self.....So I'll be cutting tonight.
I get to work some much needed OT tonight, so depends on when I get home.

ooh and there is a starbucks, panera, and a new brewsters or something like that just south of the rr tracks (about 2 blocks) and east a block from the library. and for those who want cold caffeine, there is a gas station just a block & a half south on the corner of NW Hwy and Vail.

Okay I just got back helping Sarah and meeting some new folks. I'm even more excited for Saturday to get here. You guys are going to LOVE the GOODIE bags and all the DOOR PRIZES!!! Sarah - you rock for organizing this...can't wait for Saturday!!!

No, you didn't count wrong. LOL There were suposedly like 28 of us who signed up to swap ATC's...but like Sarah said, some may drop, some may decide to make some last minute. So there is no definite count and I wanted to be ready for anything. Plus I figure even if they don't play I'll add one to the envies of our "star stampers" so they can enjoy them too.

Please send creative thoughts my way... (as I sheepishly say) I don't have my swap card created yet. I've lost my stamping mojo and I can't seem to get a card that can be done in less than 10 minutes and is still kewl.

I just browsed your gallery and I found about 10 cards I would LOVE to create. I'm sure you will come up with something!
Oh Happy Day!!! Our IRS refund arrived today, so I will be able to bring along some extra fun $ to spend in Chicago!!! I stayed up until after 1am last night cutting and baggie-ing my swaps. I think I have to make 1 more completed card - I made 7 and realized I need to keep one with my shoebox. Anywho, I can't wait to meet everyone on Saturday. Mom & I will be arriving on Friday afternoon, so we will be able to get some mall time in!
OOOH! I am so jealous of you all. I have to go to Las Vegas tonight for a conference that starts tomorrow and runs through Friday. My flight back is Saturday but doesn't land at O'Hare until after 3 PM.:( Please upload all the fabulous cards made so we can all drool. I personally know some of the star stampers so I know you will receive some excellent cards! Have a great time and don't forget to post the cards.;)

Flavored coffee creamers--YES!!! A must if I do say so myself! I have a friend that stashes the ind containers in her purse for everywhere she goes! Did you see at Sam's (or wherever) the huge containers of Coffee-Mate liquid that actually has a pump!? I don't know how much they are, and hazelnut isn't one I'd want to get stuck with the leftovers of!
I just got White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. I'd been looking all over for it! It's ok. Coconut creme is my FAVE! And I love love LOVE the peppermint mocha one. Mmmmmmm
I was very fortunate to have gotten to go to the CoffeeFest at Navy Pier last month. Torani abadoned their supply at the end of the show. No joke, they had CASES of syrups left for the taking! INSANE! I just took what sounded good. Don't need too much syrup! Maybe I'll bring some flavors. They're awfully sticky...I'll have to think about it. Here's the flavors I swiped, SF Haz, English Toffee, Toasted Marshmallow, Coconut (did I mention I love coconut??), chocolate mint, not your "conventional" flavors. Sorry. Where's the fun in that? Besides, I can get boring flavors anywhere!
Can you bring one 45 cup pot (and filters for it)? This will save me having to carry one more thing. Diane is bring one 2 and we willl keep that in rotation. BYOD (bring your own decaf).
Coffee is covered; If you want something other that Sugar, splenda, or 1/2 and 1/2 then please bring it. I like Hazelnut creamer
Awful lot of coffee flowing!!! Should coffee drinkers be bringing their own "covered" container - I just see some spillage potential with the amount of caffeine flowing freely!

Okay, I'll go to Sam's and see what I can come up with. Anyone tried the liquid carnation Spiced Chia creamer? It's my fav right now but I can go for anything flavored really.....okay...I'll see what I can find.

it will not be 40... more like 25-30 probably This was an optional swap and a casual swap; meaning it's a swap and stand and you did not have to bring one for everyone. Some will being 10, some will being 30... you may have one for everyone... not enough... or have extras. it's just one of those things. PLUS I would be prepared for some to decide NOT to participate at the last minute. But if you have extras I am sure you can find or organize a swap on SCS!
These numbers were in the FINAL EVENT EMAIL you should have all received. If you need that again you can EMAIL ME (no pm's please) at sarah at stampstars dot com. This was also discussed on the thead a couple pages back.
let's chat about liquids. Hopefully it goes without saying... spilling on your swaps is NOT a good thing. Spilling on someone elses swaps will likely result in tears.
Let's all be very careful; and if you are a klutz like me then bring a covered coffee tumbler and keep the cap on your water bottle. OR just do not put your cup on the table. keep your drinks off to the side and take coffee breaks when you need them.
I did not purchase covered coffee cups because they are expensive. and I figured ya'll would rather have more goodies than covered cups. Plus; covered or not... a spilled coffee is a spilled coffee.

Beth that stuff is soooooo good!! I love it! I also really like Southern Butter Pecan! Oh that is yummy! I'll have to grab a bottle with the coffe maker

Well That's what I thought. I had been planning on bringing 30. But I hadn't been here too much lately to check any updates, so I thought maybe I had missed one. Guess that is a lesson to check on a more regular basis! Silly me!!

Woohoo! I finished my display board last night ... glad to get that checked off the list. Today I *hope* to finish prepping my swap. I have most of it bagged, just need to cut the ribbon and stamp the cards that I need to bring completed.
I am keeping a running list of everything I need to bring on Saturday ... don't want to forget anything!
Must find a pair of jeans that I can comfortably sit and stamp all day in... !
Oh Yeah, comfort is a MUST....no buttons unless they are the stretchy jeans that don't dig in.

I'm glad you have the coffee taken care of, but if you change your mind or run into another problem, I can still help. We also have 2, 45 cup pots too! Our church loves their coffee!!!
