Hey yay....... we should get a group of us working stampers to pool for the lottery!!! I'll try ANYTHING lately to not have to work any more!!
Retiring would be SOOO nice right about NOW...to the Caribbean preferably...although my SIL is trying to get us to move to NC and says the cottage next door to theirs is up for sale!!! I am TRULY in need of some serious snorkeling to feed my soul!!! I think DH would like to NOT work, too! I think he liked being off even though he has recouperating and in pain.
I'm not so much worried about sinking as I am about building up the barnacles!!!
So who wants to stamp????
I can stamp Monday/today 9-1!! Then I have to be on call for a trip to SUCO to take Kelsey back to college. I'm planning on a stop at the big orchard store so I can buy apple pies and other homemade goodies. Maybe detour to Hobby Lobby/AC Moore on the way back...road trip anyone??
Saturday night and Sunday afternoon I worked on finishing the sorting of the cardfronts that Pat gave me. I finally finished and ended up with a box of Christmas fronts, a box of birthday fronts, and a box of various occasions...WHEW!!! Pat must have been collecting swaps for ages! I need to get the Halloween and Thanksgiving ones finished right away. I certainly can use some HELP please!!! I can ATG tape if you have an ATG gun! I have stamps, ink, backers, envelopes, clear envelopes, etc.! I just need some stampers for an assembly line!!
Guess I'd better go to bed now if I have to drive to Oswego this afternoon! I must have dozed on the couch again so I'm awake now...not good if I'm driving later...
Arlene, can you use card fronts from store-bought cards? I just came across a batch that someone gave me and will pitch them if you don't want 'em. They are Christmas.

I'd love to stamp and even like a road trip - but not today my friend. Just woke up in a panic remembering that I have LOTS to do today in the way of getting the kids off to school tomorrow - grocery shopping for lunch items, finding at least one of the 2 lunch boxes I bought each of them, finding school clothes in the piles, making sure they have labeled all their supplies and can carry them to school tomorrow, etc! The summer went so quickly:( I am excited however to send them back

Yes, I'll take them, Linda! They can alway have a little embelishment done to them to add the "homemade" touch!

Have fun with all of that, Tilly and all the other moms out there!
Car's leaving about 1 p.m. from Floyd if anyone else is interested in a road trip to Oswego! Not looking forward to driving in the rain that may come this afternoon though!
This morning I've been working on finishing the Halloween cards from Pat's swaps.

FINALLY finished my dining room!! Now maybe I can finally get back to stamping!!! And no, it's not in SU. :-( I couldn't find two SU greens that I liked enough.....the name of the paint is Pistachio Ice Cream (top) and Frosted Pine (bottom).
First pic is before - wallpapered in awful country heartsish.......

I'm fine Nancy, thanks for wondering. We had orientation and walk through at the Middle School for my son (first day for our district is tomorrow), and my mind wouldn't shut off. This is the first year he has to handle a locker and changing classes. We practiced opening the locker and walked through his schedule (literally), but I keep thinking about what could go "wrong" during his day and the best way for him to handle it. He does best when there is a plan. He has issues with trouble shooting in the moment. I KNOW the staff is use to handling all the stuff 6th graders face, but I still worry. On the bright side, I finished a good book after I as done here. ;)
Hey Judy - I'm going through the same thing this year with my son. He's on day 2 now and not a problem! I explained to him yesterday that he would "problably get locked out of his locker, that there would be lots of people to help and that kids will probably be getting to class late all day and not to sweat it - it's all the other kids' first day too". He did fine even after the walkthrough (2 weeks ago) where he couldn't open his combo lock to save his life!
Hope all goes well;)

Hi, all! I've been having an awful time posting here...still token problems on two of our computers! It wasn't updating so I couldn't find the post where Nancy said what fixed it for her.
Nice paint job, Kris! Good luck, Moms, with the first week of school!
My aunt (age 91) passed away early yesterday morning so I'll be going to Camillus for her funeral Saturday morning. DH will stay home to wait for the Salvation Army truck to come and haul away all the stuff left in the garage. He's healing slowly so it would be very tiring for him to go to Camillus and back...too long in the car for him. He's been working too long each day (plus picking up stuff that's too heavy for him even though I tell him not to!) so he is really tired.

I'm off too! I was thinking about straightening up my craft room(only to destroy it later)! Now that the laundry is almost done, the cooking is underway...love the crockpot, and the bathroom is cleaned!
Sorry I didn't get up to see you yesterday, we were a bit busy and I had to leave early to go pick up the truck from the shop in waverly!

There is no town listed under Columbia County called Slottsville so I kept looking and found an alphabetical listing of NYS towns but still no Slottsville, NY
