I'm not much of a concert goer---too loud! In my teens I saw Peter,Paul & Mary. Saw one of the "Four" somethings when they came to my college in the 60's...4 Preps, 4 Lads, something like that. DH and I also saw Phil Collins back in the 80's. Concerts were not much of a thing in my youth.
I did go to see Broadway shows that toured, though. Oh yeah, did see Bill Cosby in the 60's. He was really funny!
Of yours, I might have wanted to see BB King, but not the rest. Who is Popa Chubby???

hey wait...I saw Michael Bolton at the state fair too. Free seats and I had just broken up with a boyfriend - I cried the entire time

I did see the Greatful dead (well, I think I saw them ), Whitesnake, Van Halen, Phil Collins, Meatloaf and Dr. Dirty and others to make up for the Michael Bolton mishap though

Must've been the same Dead concert as me. LOL

Let's see...Billy Joel, Rolling Stones (2x), Bruce Springsteen (2x), Bob Dylan, Marshall Tucker Band, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes (2x), Gene Pitney, Beach Boys, Richie Havens, Peter, Paul & Mary, Meatloaf, and I'm sure more that I cannot remember.

(It's all this getting up early that affects my memory.)

you're not much older than me. He was funny. Ya know who else was really funny and even quite raunchy in "concert" - Bette Midler!

Oakridge Boys 4X, Statler Brothers 3X, Wayne Newton, Bobbie Vinton, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, Kenny Rogers, The Judds, MMMMMMel Tillis, New Kids on the Block. I know there are others. DH won't go unless it's country, I don't like loud screaming and not much comes to our arena. Last concert was Oakridge Boys this year.

My concert going history is kind of lame believe it or not! It's always the jazz groups or classical stuff.

By the way - if you guys can ever get out to here the band "ATLAS" play, they are a must see. They played my friends' wedding that I was maid of honor in - and THEY WERE HOT!!!! They have local open gigs every now and then, particularly in the Rochacha/Syrcause area.

Here's his homepage:
http://www.popachubby.com/home.html

He played at a local dinner theater (Town Crier Cafe, Pawling, NY), as did Livingston Taylor. Here is their website:
http://www.townecrier.com/

We also saw Brett Butler (before Grace Under Fire) when a friend of ours did an open mike night at a NYC comedy club (name of which I wish I remembered).

I am also not into concerts (too loud!) but some opportunities are not to be missed.

We saw Wayne Newton on our first visit to Las Vegas! He was amazingly awesome!

Tony has seen many more performers, including Eddie Money, Bruce Springsteen, The Who (I have a bandana stashed away someplace). We also frequently visited the Long Island establishment where Zebra headlined (they started as a Led Zepellin tribute band). Some of our friends were in a band that sometimes played at the same place.

Stoppin by to say hi ..... I've had some computer issues, MAJOR, but luckily have this dinosaur for a backup until the other one (HOPEFULLY) gets brought back to life! I have to admit though, less time on the computer is not so bad, really! Kids are officially back in school for me TODAY, hip hip!!!

My concert list is super long, I couldn't possibly remember them all, but I'll give it a whirl:

BON JOVI, ZZ Top, Kiss, Rolling Stones X2, The Who, Chicago, Beach Boys, Aerosmith, Loverboy, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Hewie Lewis, Def Lepard, Blue Oyster Cult, Ronny James Dio, Foreigner, Billy Joel, Elton John, Toby Keith x4, Kenny Chesney, Sugarland, Trace Adkins, Cindy Lauper, Shania Twain, Grateful Dead, Genesis, Creed, Twisted Sister, Eddy Money, Cheap Trick .... that's all I can remember for now.

I would have loved to see Gene Pitney and also the Beach Boys! Just heard "Only love can break a heart" on the radio yesterday on the way home from work!
Brings back memories...

OF course I've been to Woodstock, grew up not too far from there!!! But I didnt see any music there....

I haven't seen too many concerts myself, and even fewer than you guys probably would recognize! I like folky, feminist groups, and those concerts don't usually get too loud!

But I have seen Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Dave Matthews Band... they're all pretty main stream!

I fell asleep at the Pink Floyd concert (it was on a Friday and started about an hour after my "weekend" bedtime - I was in HS and had to do a lot of convincing to get my Mom to give permission.) I am sure the "atmosphere" at the (then known as) Nassau Coliseum helped with my nap. Poor Tony had me on one shoulder and a guy (we were a station wagon full of concert goers) on his other shoulder so I wasn't as embarrased as I'd have been if it was just me.

I don't think I'd enjoy large concert venues anymore (never really did) but smaller ones would be nice. I'd like to see Meatloaf perform - I think his vocal range is amazing!

By the way - if you guys can ever get out to here the band "ATLAS" play, they are a must see. They played my friends' wedding that I was maid of honor in - and THEY WERE HOT!!!! They have local open gigs every now and then, particularly in the Rochacha/Syrcause area.
We used to go see Atlas Linen Company in Syracuse. Wonder if they're "related". Our Atlas was also great; spent many a weekend dancing to them.

The actual summer of Woodstock, I started college-and was at Hartwick, then the next two summers I worked at the resort near there. I was totally unaware-I led a very sheltered life in Unadilla- until afterwards. Never was a crazy wild kid- so probably wouldn't have gone-but I do like that music.

it was in 69, right? I was 21, but dh and I were married and just out of college. Living in Buffalo, we didn't know about it until it was on TV. Wouldn't have gone, anyway...too far, too poor, busy working....
we were too blue-collar-trying-to-pay-the-rent to be hippies
