CNY Stampers Get Together
Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Christ Church Henry St Binghamton, NY 13901
Do join us at our next Central New York Stampin' Get Together -- a full day of stamping fun!
Cost – $25.00 per person. Registrations must be paid no later than 5 pm on July 18. Mail registration form and payment to me (info is in the registration form). There are no refunds, but you may offer your spot to someone else.
There is a lot of info to digest but reading through it should help answer many questions. If any clarification is needed, just ask. This is our main way to communicate with you and we are here to help! You will find final counts and other important info here once the event is closed.
Mandatory Table Project (aka “shoebox”) Totally depends on numbers, but our small size has usually allowed us to do everyone's project.
This project will generally be a full card, with layers and embellishment(s)and should *NOT* take more than 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Please provide any special adhesive that's needed. So, just to say it another way: Bring 3 completed projects + make up 13 packets of materials **in kits** to make your project. Extra parts to fix any "oops" should also be provided. I am asking each participant to prep only one shoebox and I have other activities available to keep us busy. I know at previous get togethers we have done 2, but that would be 24 projects and some find that just too much pressure
Please use only quality products and make these something you’d be thrilled to get yourself.
NOTE: Because you will be switching tables, but your projects staying behind, it is CRITICAL that you provide basic directions for your project unless it is VERY obvious. Please include your name and SCS name as well Thank you!
Swaps – ALL SWAPS ARE OPTIONAL. You’ll know how many to make when we post the final counts, and you’ll have plenty of notice since the deadline is 4 weeks in advance of the event.
*This means only current SU! products can be used but you don’t need to be a demonstrator to participate.
Food – Please indicate on the registration form the specific food item you will bring to share. Please don’t just say “food” or “whatever you need”. Ideas: breakfast items, lunch items, including salads, desserts and snacks. We love to try your homemade food specialties! Bottled water and coffee will be provided. BYO soda if you want it.
“Garage Sale” – Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin’ Up! items must be offered for trade only; you can sell retired items. Sorry but we can’t be responsible for missing items so bring things at your own risk
Door Prizes – Still hoping to have one for everyone so donations from our group are most welcome. Let me know if you’d like to make a door prize donation and what it is. Our participants are always so generous!
Gift Swap – You don’t have to sign up for this one, but if you would like to participate, bring a gift related to our stamping passion. Everyone who brings a gift to swap will also leave with one. Value on these should be in the $5-10 range, and stamped projects are always appreciated! If it’s something you’d like to take home, it’s probably perfect! Be sure to include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank. Wrap it up prettily to encourage “stealing”. REMEMBER: Stamping-related!!!
Other – Please bring your own labeled items for your personal stamping needs, including your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just can’t stamp without, like: bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straight edge, stamp cleaner and whatever else you can't stamp without! Did I say adhesive????? Adhesive! You will likely need lots of it.[/COLOR]
I have been asked "what does $25 get me?" It gets the venue, bottled water, paper products, breakfast pizza and a small gift bag, plus a fun day with some really great people, a chance to use new ideas, products and enjoy our hobby.

Me, please! NVR and Monochromatic (shall I challenge myself to do a color other than some shade of blue????).
The NVR swap could be Sympathy cards or generic enough/without a sentiment to be used for sympathy. Decorative envelopes sound like fun, too, or that could be part of the NVR.

How about you still have the monochromatic swap... but the color is ASSIGNED to you when we close? ha ha
that could be a challenge.....not sure Arlene would have the color I assigned ;) It would not be Bermuda Bay :-P Oh and you wouldn't get Early Espresso....I'll think on that idea

Bring it on!!! I already have an card idea but have not picked my color, yet, although I know it will not be blue, teal, turquoise!
Pulled out some paper and stamps this morning for my orange monochromatic swap...thinking, thinking....
Lauri posted Rochester's gathering for Sept. 19. TOD, you may want to send an email to the address in her first post to ask if you can post about this one over there. She likes to keep posts to a minimum so ask her first.
