Spring Fling Shoebox Swap!
PA/NJ/DE/MD SplitCoastStampers Gathering
Sunday, April 6th from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Dunn Community Center in Exeter, Pennsylvania (directions in the post below)
Easily accessible from PA Routes 222, 30, 422, 81, and the PA Turnpike
Join us for a day of stamping and scrapping fun!
Cost- $10 per person ($11 via PayPal). This fees covers the rental of the facility and door prizes throughout the day. Registration will be limited to 20 people in order to keep the swapping reasonable. Your registration fee must be paid for by Monday, March 3rd. There are no refunds after this date. You may pay via PayPal by using a debit card, credit card, or PayPal existing funds. You may also mail a check if you prefer. Please contact me when you are ready to sign up and I will provide my PayPal address or my mailing address.
Shoebox Swap- By popular vote, we will be doing a shoebox swap this get together! All cards are to be full cards. Each card must use at least two layers and one embellishment. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc. Make sure all of your supplies (stamps, ink pads, scissors, punches, etc.) are labeled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought. Supplies are not limited to any manufacturer, but please use high quality cardstock.
Each person should have a sample and typed instructions in their box telling how to make your card. Each swap should be in its own individual baggie or envelope that contains everything each person needs to do your card. This should help the the swap go more smoothly.
Lunch- This time we'll be doing a potluck lunch! The site we use has a full kitchen, so each person will be responsible for bringing something to share! Beverages will be provided. It can be something you make or purchase. You do not need to bring an enormous amount of food, just enough to share with 8-10 people! A sign up list will be posted in March.
Yard Sale- There will be large tables set up for a buy/sell/trade area. It�s a great way to get rid of a few things and pick up some new goodies! I know I'll be bringing LOTS of stamps to sell! All items must be priced and any buying/selling/trading will be the table owner�s responsibility. Just remember certain companies have policies regarding the buying and selling of their merchandise. Please be sure to abide by those rules. If you are interested in a table, please let me know when you register so I can make sure there will be enough tables.
Door prizes- Throughout the day, we'll be giving out some little door prizes to keep things exciting!
Fabulous Nametag Contest- Make and wear a 4�x 6� nametag with your name and your SCS name so we know you on sight. Get creative and make something fabulous! The best nametag will win a special prize! Let's see who will win this time! No repeats from the last get together! This is also a fun way to learn everyone�s names!
Stamp for a Cause- Please create one card to send to the troops via the SplitCoastStampers Stamp Your Heart Out Campaign. The inside of the card must be left BLANK, but the design of the card is up to you! Each card should be placed with an envelope inside a clear Ziploc bag. If you wish to create more than one card, go for it! All cards will be collected at the check-in table. For more details check here.
Other Stuff � Please bring your own items for your personal stamping and scrapbooking needs, especially your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just can�t stamp without! You will need these supplies to assemble the swaps. Please be sure to label your items if you feel it is necessary.
I know I am super excited to meet some new scrapbooking and stamping friends and I�m sure you are too! If you didn't make it last time, be sure to come out on Sunday, April 6th. I know we will have a fabulous time!

Directions to the Dunn Community Center:
Located at 4565 Prestwick Drive, Reading, Pennsylvania 19606
Very good directions can be found at Google Maps by typing in the address. The Dunn Community Center is located next to the Exeter Community Library. Once you leave Rt. 422, look for the blue library signs. These signs will lead you right to the Dunn Community Center. More information can be found here.
Be sure to park in the back of the building!

Do a Friday night crop at RubberBuggy, spend Saturday shopping, do something touristy and fun on Sunday. Just thinking outloud here...but great idea Anne!

Hope everyone had a great week! We've been tossing around the idea of making themes for the swaps (thank you, birthday, etc...) that way we don't have too many repeats. Any thoughts? I'm open to any suggestions.

Brandi - I meant to respond to this post awhile ago - my apologies!
Summer would be great for a weekend getaway. Will have to see if Rubberbuggy is still in business though. Yep, you're reading that right. I was there for stamp night this past Friday & Kris (the owner) said that business is way down & she's fearful about the future of the store if things don't pick up in a hurry.
So I am asking all of you who are in the Lancaster area or might be visiting there soon and are in the market for some new stamping/scrapping goodies to visit Rubberbuggy. Kris is such a super person & has worked exceptionally hard to create an awesome store & classes - I for one would be crushed if she had to close.
