That is what I did but that didn't work. I have an Epson too (Stylus NX300). I used temporary tape to stick the velum to computer paper. That worked. Only I wanted card stock, not vellum. Do whatcha gotta do.

Me too!!! lol....when I load cs I put either 1 or 2 sheets at a time, and with vellum I put a few sheets with some regular paper since vellum is a little more flimsy.

Maybe your printer is being finicky right now, maybe try loading just regular paper first to see if it's the cs or if it's the printer (if you haven't already).

Because I am doing a recipe card I practised first on computer paper to see if it was printing the size I wanted first before putting in card stock. It worked then. I think I'm just outta luck for printing on cs.

hmmm....I don't know then. Sometimes our printer gets tempermental and doesn't want to work (even with regular paper). When it gets like that I give it a little rest and it's good to go. lol

Good Morning!! I drank my water although not the full amount that I'm supposed to. Considering that I HATE water and I didn't even drink a cup a day (I know, I'm bad) I drank 3 500ml bottles yesterday. I think that's 48oz right? Since I haven't been 96lbs since before DS#1 I know I'm not hitting my quota, but if I increase a bottle a day I should be good in a few days.

I'm also planning on going out to Shoppers today to get my vitamins....and since I'm out might stop by Michaels to see what Boxing week sale might be going on.

Teresa, hopefully your printer cooperates today.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Shoppers has 20x the points today when you spend $50.
I got the printer to print on vellum so that is good enough this time.
I drank two big bottles of water from a stainless steel bottle. Which reminds me...I got a new stainless steel bottle and want to put on a rub on from SU!.
Waaa....I don't have a wii!

Karen, you slacker!!! LOL! *cracks whip* Get to work woman!!!

Diana, that is AWESOME water drinking! Good for you!!!

We were going to get our Wii at Zellers ($89.99), but since Shoppers has 20X the points, we're going to get the Wii there instead ($99.99), and the points will make up for the price difference! I can't wait to get it home and try it out - WOOT!!!

Teresa, you need a Wii!!! And I LOVE the SU! rub on idea for your water bottle - take a pic and show us when it's done!

Oops! Wii Fit Plus - sorry!

Yes, for the points...I buy all our vitamins, etc. at Shoppers, because we like Life Brand, so the points are worth it...

Teresa,

I just discovered I have the same cardstock printing issue...I can print on Whisper White and Very Vanilla, but I just tried to print on Confetti White and no deal. I ended up going the vellum route too...

it might be too thick.... I had problems with an old printer before.
I have sucessfully printed on WW and Kraft SU stocks with my current printer and vellum is no problem. is your printer top loading? or bottom loading?

if its bottom loading (pulls the paper UP from the tray when printing) you might try taking all the paper out then when you're printing, just load the one sheet of CS in. Tap it to the back and when you hear the wheels turn, give it a VERY GENTLE nudge.. not a strong one. If it picks it up, then you should be good to go.. if it doesn't at all, then the stock is too thick, and forcing it through will only get it stuck, and/or get streaks all over it.

Kitchener and Kingston are in two completely directions...Kingston is halfway between Toronto and Montreal. Kitchener is one hour north west of Toronto.

As for printing on cs, I haven't printed anything on cs for a loooooooooooooong time...I had a heavyu duty printer a long time ago and use to print on canvas material....I don't think my new one would handle that...

I've never printed on regular cs either, just ww or cheap white cs so it probably is the thickness of the su cs.

Just came in from tobagganing with my 3 older sons...baby was sleeping with dad. Guess that's my excercise for the day...lol. Even if the hill is not that steep it's still a workout pulling them up the hill. And shivering burns calories too right??

Taking a breather before heading out to run some errands.

Michelle, you are really far from any of us...lol.

I didn't drink all my water yesterday, but I did get exercise! We took a walk to a dam near my place. It's a 20 minute round trip walk for me in the summer ( I walk at a really good clip!) but it took us around 40 minutes yesterday, as the trail was snow covered and slightly slippery. Also, running after the two youngest is quite a job. The 11 year old has ADHD and I caught him trying to go outside with bare feet. Later on, he actually got outside with bare feet and a thin shirt! It's a fight every day for him to keep his gloves and tuque on!
I'm on track with my water today. I'm not aiming to drink as much as recommended, as I drink a cup of green tea every morning (prevention magazine says you can substitute one cup with tea or black coffee, but not more) and I also drink a couple of glasses of milk.
Today, I am taking down my (one) tree, cleaning my living room and vacuuming and have done two loads of laundry. Enough exercise?

Should I spay something over the rub on like you do for soot stamping or when you make tile coasters? My water bottle is going to be hand washed and bumped around lots and I want it to stay nice for as long as possible.

Way to go Diana and Ina!!! I got my exercise walking around Square One today *shudder*, but did not find my Wii Fit Plus. The good news is, DH dropped us all off at home and went in search of one for me and found the LAST one at our local Best Buy. That man rocks my world on a daily basis!!! Did I tell you that last year, he drove up to Bolton to buy me a Scor-Pal for my birthday? FOR REAL!!!!

Teresa, I would spray some fixative on your rub on...and you may want to respray every so often because I expect the finish may come off with washing and being bumped around...

I need to catch up on some water...though I did drink quite a bit this morning. Ina, I didn't know that about the green tea...I think I may do that in the morning...it's supposed to be good for your metabolism too...

michelle, I ahve a gps - a friend of mine bought one and did extensive research around the time I was looking for one. he suggested the Garmin Nuvi 250 at the time, (two years ago) and I love it. It helped me get around the city and though i don't use it all the time, we have used it several times... like when we were house hunting, our trip to Montreal, when we were looking for the park where we have our cottage. Its totally handy, but more so in the city than country.

At the time the best deal was at Costco, and I think it was $199. and speaking of costco! I just got my very own costco card today! WOOHOO! i feel so... important now that I'm an official member... Now I can buy bulk toilet paper.... what else could make you feel more like an adult! LOL.

water... didn't get enough of it today =(

ARGH!!!! Can I vent to you guys for a bit???

My parents are making me NUTS!!!! They're behaving like children and it's driving me crazy.

My dad called me on New Years Day to wish us all happy new year. I was supposed to call them, but got sidetracked with cooking. Anyway, since my Dad called, I figured that was the "official" call from my parents and didn't speak to my mom (spoke to her on NYE).

It seems that dad's call wasn't the "official" call and now the two of them are bickering with my sister and I in the Facebook Inbox - I kid you not! It's like dealing with 6 year olds.

And now apparently, mom was trying to surprise dad with a cake and he walked into her office (they both have home offices, though they don't work - whatever) while she was looking to download a special recipe for the cake. Apparently, she got pissed off, yelled and screamed at him and just generally freaked out.

He told her not to bother making the cake if she was that upset and she told him that she wasn't going to his birthday celebration at their next door neighbours.

She just posted on FB that she was reading a good book and enjoying a bowl of popcorn. And my dad is next door with the neighbours celebrating without his wife. Nice.

ARGH!!! I don't expect answers from you guys...I just needed to vent! My sister and I have put up with this stuff for I don't know how many years (theirs has NEVER been a happy marriage) and it's starting to get old. My sister wants them to stay together and I keep telling them that life is too short to be miserable and they just go their separate ways. The problem is that while they have no idea how to live in peace together, I don't think they have any idea how to NOT live with each other...if that even makes sense... *SIGH*

Thanks for listening!!!

As of Monday |I am definietly going back to gym...I feel like a cow...all my insides feel extremely heavy and I don't like that feeling at all...

Christyne, I don't know if you know abou this place but thought I'd pass it on. They have some cake decorating classes. NOt sure if they're a good price vs. Michael's wilton classes, but here's the link: http://www.goldaskitchen.com/about6.ihtml

I totally agree with Karen and Michelle, Christyne. You cannot change your parents even if you try. You know the saying...can't live with em, can't live without em...that probably definately applies to your parents. Sounds kinda like my parents too!

So your DH not only went to Bolton to get you a ScorPal but he knew what it was??? Man, my DH would've been like a score pal...like the screen that tells you what the score in the game is??? lol...he's a great guy but has no idea what ANY crafting tool is.

It' funny...he'll ask what'[s this..? and what's this...? and what does this do...lol...

He'll only ask if he feels neglected by me and needs attention...lol...get me talking and maybe stop what I'm doing and pay some attention to him....even it's for a minute...lol..

Thanks for the link Karen! I didn't know Golda's Kitchen had classes, but I have been there before...they have some pretty awesome kitchen tools in there!

Thanks for your support on the parents thing...it's getting a little tedious and I think I'm just going to let my sister and them deal with it...she's (my sister) is VERY much a Christian (which is fine, to each their own) and is pushing the God button on this one telling that divorce is not an option...I say life is too short to be miserable...the latest news is that my mother wished for a divorce and my father wished her dead...whatever!!! It's all a freaking "he said/she said" thing and I've put up with it for way too long already...I just told DH I'm going to wait for either a "we're staying together", "we're getting divorced", "your mother/father is dead and I killed him/her" message and then get involved...I've never seen adults act like such children!!! UGH!

Anyway...enough about that...it's a whole new year and only good things are going to happen - WOOT!!!

So...DH didn't really know what a Scor-Pal was, but we called the Bolton scrapbooking store and had them put one on hold. He went in and picked it up...dressed in jeans, biker boots, leather jacket and hot shades...the staff (who know me and the friend that called in the hold) said he was TOTALLY hot!!!

In Wii news, my DH brought home the Wii Fit Plus and I LOVE IT!!!! I logged 37 minutes on it and it felt great! I haven't even begun to explore all of the stuff that I can do with it, but I'm in love with it already! I can definitely see this being a good thing toward reaching my fitness goals. My Mii is TOTALLY fat!!!!! It will be a definite motivation to see that Mii get skinnier! According to the Wii, I fall into the obese category on the BMI scale...I knew that and that was the point of wanting the Wii Fit Plus.

So...here's to a happy and healthy 2010!

Hi Linda! You are definately welcome to join in our chat and get togethers if you wish. We're always happy to have a new person join the group!

Good Morning Ladies! Contemplating heading out to Michaels again. I found some AMAZING deals yesterday but was in kind of a rush so I didn't have time to thoroughly browse....Martha Stewart Holiday Edge punches for $7.49-$7.79 and holiday ribbon for $1.29. I wanted to look through the holiday home decor stuff too but didn't have time. But I'm having a lazy Sunday....lol.

Gotta get motivated!!!!

Diana, Home Outfitters has the K Cups on sale for $8.99, but only until today. I'm heading out later to pick some up.
