Absolutely they do... Their your pages and they're done! They count!!!!

The nice thing about our scrapping challenges and threads are that they are all enjoyed from your own point of view...
If you say you have a completed page then you do.
If you feel like you have a completed page then you do.
If you want to share it as a completed page then you do.

Does this all make sense?... because then I do too!

This is for Bluegirl and her son..he is married today..
Hey you, you're a child in my head
You haven't walked yet
Your first words have yet to be said
But I swear you'll be blessed

I know you're still just a dream
your eyes might be green
Or the bluest that I've ever seen
Anyway you'll be blessed

And you, you'll be blessed
You'll have the best
I promise you that
I'll pick a star from the sky
Pull your name from a hat
I promise you that, promise you that, promise you that
You'll be blessed

I need you before I'm too old
To have and to hold
To walk with you and watch you grow
And know that you're blessed

Elton John and Billy Joel..Blessed

It's all that I buy. I gave up on SU CS after the stopped using KJC two years ago. There is a slight noticable differene, but it holds ink very well, doesn't smudge and is very sturdy.
And $6 for a full sized ream of 150 versus SU's prices plus shipping... totally a good deal! ;-)

thanks Roberta, the SU seems a little flimsy for my project, does the gp seem a little stiffer? (Ho's get your minds out of the gutter)

That's a good question! It's been a while since I've had two in my hands ( no gutters.. you pervs! LOL ), but I'll feel them both and do a fold ( I do still have a few sheets of SU white in my archives somewhere ) and getcha an answer by post lunchtime. ;)

I'm off to the post office to see what awaits me....

SuG 01-05-2009 08:17 AM

Her hours are a little different from the rest of us, Anavon, even though we are all in the same time zone (by all I mean you me and her, not all hos. I guess this kinda went without saying, but I did not know if you knew I am in CT) Wordy this AM... sorry... time to cough some more....

(what is KJC?)

this sounds like a great deal. Too bad my usual Wal has nothing in their srapbooking aisle. I guess I will have to trek to the dreaded Bristol store...

No kidding. I wasn't there for your post, but a quick trip straight down with Roberta's. Had to shake my head to get back to normal thinking.

After a feel and estimation of each, there's a big difference between the two.

The GP is definitely a stiffer cardstock. Upon folding a sheet of each like a standard card, GP stays upright ( ha! I resisted using 'erect' ) much better than the SU cardstock.

mamadwawa 01-05-2009 08:30 AM

Hey Su - how long will it take you to get to NJ?

Still debating on if to do something with the actual cover, like some wide ribbon with felt flowers or something. What do you think?

Super cute and I think add ribbon to the front, down the left side only

LauraJean 01-05-2009 08:53 AM

I know Scrappy was using GP (and still might) she had it at the diner in NJ (stamping images while we were waiting for dinner ~ LOL). I have SOME SU White left (that I Found after completing my demo only swaps) which I am stashing away for future SU only swaps. I love the Gina K Pure Luxury CS (and PTI White) The SU WW is too flimsy for me now that I have tried other companies' white CS.

I have two questions for all my Ho friends.
1 - is Georgia pacific white from walmrt similar to SU, I need to make 30 cards with white stock and I thought it might be cheaper to buy this for them but I need a sturdy enough base.

2 - speaking of Georgia - is anyone in or familiar with the Savannah area? My DH wants to take me there for a long weekend for my bday and I could use some ideas of where to stay, what to do and most importantly where there is a good LSS
thanks

Tons to do, very historic...if you want to eat at Lady and Sons -Paula Deans restaurant for lunch get in line at 9:30, she doesn't go there anymore or do the cooking.

That's all I know.

SuG 01-05-2009 09:05 AM

Kash, I need info on Savannah are you familiar with the city?

SuG 01-05-2009 09:05 AM

sorry we were posting at the same time

SuG 01-05-2009 09:07 AM

don't care about Paula Deen so we will not waste a day in line! I just need a good place to stay. Very pricey. I didn't want to stay at a Marriott thought we could find something mor charming.
this is my 50th so I think we can go in debt. Let's see what Josh says about that LOL!

SuG 01-05-2009 09:08 AM

most of the band b's have The Lady packages with reservations And she doesn't even cook there anymore?

SuG 01-05-2009 09:09 AM

I have the GinaK luxery paper, but that is a bit pricy for this project. I want to make some money on this one.

SuG 01-05-2009 09:11 AM

thanks Roberta, I think i will head over to Walmart. My new huge walmart only has 1/4 of an aisle for scrapping. I may not even find it there.

chris1josh2 01-05-2009 09:13 AM

Marking my spot!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

It's not with the scrapping stuff. It's with the paper supplies. Wherever they keep copy paper and laser printer paper is where you'll find it.

Hey Gael? The Georgia Pacific Paper is not in the Scrapbooking section at Walmart. It's in the 'stationary dept' next to copy paper, and the like. HTH!

urscrappymama 01-05-2009 09:43 AM

The location in the store remedied.... KJC = King James Coated. It's the former CS that SU used.
Great stuff, but VERY expensive, which, I assume, is why they went away from it.

LJ that is absolutly fantastic. I love it and would be thrilled if you wouldn't mind me casing the idea from you.

We need to look up the "law" on drunken running in stillettos in Ohio :)

Kate and KJ do the swap we had a blast in NJ during the swap time. We will let you bring a pitcher of _____'s (fill in to your taste) who needs straight cuts on their cards any way?

Joy I love, love the owls you posted. Your blog is great I just wish I had the time and patience to comment there. I love the maid too is that new?

Thx. Su! :)

Are Kate and KJ in any doubt about how much the SBS rocks?
