LJ where did you get the embossing mat? I need one.
I think I got it at Gina K's Store. I know she has them @ the store....How soon do you need it? I will probably be going there soon after the new year.
yay, got a swap done, told you scrappy I would get them done!
Sandye, lol, trust me, I've signed up for plenty of swaps, all due next year, but I'm getting better about getting them done as soon as I sign up. Now getting them sent out is a totally different story! HOPE YOU"RE HAVING A BLAST IN RENO!

Taking a short break from gambling--I just won! I'll have some money to take home. Mayabe I can spend it on priority mail so my swaps will get there before yours, Joy You know I'm just kidding, Joy. I just cannot stand the pressure if I wait until the last minute.
yay, so glad you won!!!!!!!!!! I know you're kidding, I just love teasing you Yeah, I don't like the pressure either. I have all of my DT projects for January done and have some finished for February. This gives me time to study too, which I have studied 3 days in a row now!!!!!!!!! yay!
Thanks for the info - I am definitely going to need to practice with them! The card is beautiful! So start with the darker shade?
Yup!!! Start with the darker shade by outlining...then with the lighter color...start blending inwards. You can always add darker if you you need more definition! ;) Now that my fingers have thawed out...lol...I'll stamp and do a picture by picture tut! ;)
Gabby does prismas? I thought she did copics! I want in in that tutorial, too!! (wow, say that ten times fast!) I got a bunch in a swap from Meredith and then two more for sarhod's fave things, and a handful more for my birthday! Now I gotta learn how to best use them!
HECK YEAH!!! I'm the PRISMA GIRL!!! WOO HOO...RAISE THE ROOF!!! LOL! I'll work on the tut soon! ;)
BTW...I did the 10 times thing and bit my tongue! LOL!
Love that card Gabby!! Didn't you also have a chart that said which markers were closest to which SU colors? Any chance you still have that? (Or someone else does??)
any one know how to emboss with the nesties using the big shot if you don't have the tan mats? Anyone know where to get the tan mats if I need them. All I find is the nesties from all the sites.
I tried searching but there is so much info on here it is too overwhelming to sort through.
thanks.
I think you can always use scraps of CS large enough to cover the nestie...maybe about 4 to 6 pieces. I'm not sure though...I have a CB and use the CS as mats to emboss. As for the mat...Papertrey Ink has those tan mats in the 5 X 7 size and Rubbernecker has them in 12 X 12 and I THINK they're on sale right now too. PTI even has a link on how to sandwhich and on which machine. HTH! ;)
a fun "party game to do is stamp onesies. I bring craft inkspots and solid stamps wild about you and stinkin cutwe are good ones. wash the onesies and drybefore the party. Hang a string across the room and use clothes pins to clip them up as they are stamped to dry and so everyone can enjoy them. voila the new mom has lots of special onesies for the baby (I did several sizes so the baby cna grow into them)>
Yeah...that is a fun thing to do. We did that when we had my baby shower for Lizzie. I bought onesies up the wazoo and she STILL uses some of the larger ones under her jammies...lol..she's very petite though and fits in 2T and she's almost 5!!! We also used puffy paints. ;) It's nice when grandma or aunti can customize a onsie for baby.
LJ, here are some cute shower ideas from a friend's shower I attended, they're made out of lil washcloths........
Oh yeah...I've seen similar on Etsy and they are ADORABLE!!! I got a ton of small washcloths at Target that were on special a while back and still have them in a box. I got pinks and chocolates. I'm planning on selling some on Etsy making them look like those lollipops. Etsy is a good place to look for ideas FYI! ;)

These were awesome! Thanks, Roberta... now I see I have all primary colours..... and so need to buy the colours to blend them! This might be an expensive venture!!!

I've been spending the afternoon putting away my Christmas decorations, and it's making me sad. The house looks boring without them. :(
Mine are all down too, after the 3rd trip to storage (basement) with no elevator (im on 2nd floor) I realized my cold still owns me.....I had to sit for a good 10 minutes to let my breath come back to me.
I'm taking it easy the rest of the night, I have my 2nd load (this after 2 loads @ aunties) in the washer upstairs (which I can get to by elevator, only the basement does not have elevator access). I had to vacuum most of my apartment for the 2nd time this weekend, my first load I left a kleenex in my jeans pocket and well, you know what that does
I think I better plop myself on the couch for the 2nd half of the game so I don't cause any more trouble.

Go to Mikes or the Dollar Tree and buy those crapppy fun foam sheets. Put the nesties and paper between two of them before cranking. Does the trick just fine and is ALOT cheaper than the tan mats.

Hi! Is your back any better? I think I took a step back with my cold. I was so much better yesterday, AAAAAACCCKKKK! :( Or maybe I tried to do too much today....
