Ok - I've decided my back and my brain needs a rest so I am home today. The freight train is still coming @ me (although not as hard). Just put a patch on.
Stamp Therapy LJ....That'll do it! ;)
Marci, it's SO sweet when they snuggle EXCEPT at bedtime in YOUR bed....
YEP! But I think I am gonna try to go crash again ;) I started a swap last night and then looked at it just now and thought WTH was I thinking? Gonna redo most of it :(

We so very much need rain here. But I don't think the weather fronts will go from East to Northwest very easily...
Hello everyone! I have spent my morning getting from page 38 through page 55. I still have many more to go, but I need to get started on my day. Gotta pick up some girlies to babysit, but first need to get school supplies for DD. She wants a new dress for the first day.
Cheryl - I am so sorry for your friend and your loss. Also the job things stinks - I can't believe a certified letter!
LJ - Great job getting off meds, so happy for you. How are you feeling now? Its beena few days, right?
Scrappy - your idea for the haloween ho had me cracking up!!
Laura (i hope I hve your name right) - Congrats on baby Mia - what a sweetheart!!
Jess - Baby Sami is too cute in her CC!
Marci - How are the kiddos? Feeling better?
School shopping - last year Dave and I spent spent mucho dinero on clothes at Justice. I bought everything a size large and altered them. Here we are a year later and everything still fits. Have to take some of the pleats out and bring down some hems, but that is easy. Took DD to Children's Place to return something I had chosen too small and she picked out a couple of things from there, too. For a shy kid she certainly likes LOUD clothes!!
Hope you all had a great week. I will start on page 56 when I get home later today...
LJ....this will make you feel loads better.....If you heard a beeping noise when we were on the phone while I was in Publix that was Cheryl calling me. But I STAYED on the phone with YOU!
Finally found the burrito shells, so we are either having chicken fajitas or something mexician that starts with an "E", my brain just went blank...enchalladas!
PRAISE GOD!!! According to the tv news yesterday as a result of all the rain, storm drain runoff and all the water going into the streams that flow into Lake Lanier the level should go up 1.5 feet! Now if only Gustave will come our way. Of course we are still 20 feet below full pool, but it's a start!

I sure hope I can knock out some swaps over this 3 day weekend!!! We are going to Missoula which is about 2 hours drive on Saturday to do some school shopping, (the kids want to spend the night, but I don't, I want to stamp!!!) Anyway, I should win that one since I'm the only female and my youngest once said to be, "It's all about you, isn't it?" I told him you betcha and don't EVER forget it!!!
Anyway, my husband works both Sunday and Monday and the weather is hopefully going to be crappy and the house is clean so I hopefully will have the creative mojo going and can stamp away!!!
I can NOT sign up for anymore swaps until I get some of these done!!!!!

Morning! Marci, I'm up at 5:15 five days as week so don't feel bad. I love this time of the morning, traffic has not picked up yet (I live on one of the main arteries that goes downtown).
I don't know how you do it. I am soooo not a morning person.
I hope that you feel better after your little nap this morning.

Elizabeth, I hope that your day is going better today. Sending hugs your way.

I thought that we were all pretty much healthy again but then my DS ended up with a fever (of course after I dropped him off at school and got all of the way home). So my morning pretty much consisted of driving 20 minutes to take him to school, 20 minutes driving home, and then turning around and driving 20 minutes back to the school to pick him up. He was perfectly happy to come home and run around like a crazy man though. He is still running a little bit of a fever even though you would never be able to tell from the way he acts.
ok feeling better today so I guess I am going to work
Joy, I am glad that you are feeling better today even if that means you have to go to work. I finally made it out to your blog since you updated it and I love all the new stuff you have put out there.
Marci

I am so with you on that one. Sadly I can't go and take a nap so I am just stuck with it in my head. Once my DS wakes back up though it will be replaced with the Thomas the Tank Engine song.
My sister thinks that children should watch at least 6 hours of Spongebob a day. At least that is how it seemed when we were there in Feb. Of course I really know it was when she was tired of being an engaging auntie (about every 15 minutes.. HA! )

LOL I have been up all day, about to take a nappy. had a big lunch down at the pub (and some nice baseball chit-chat with a former sports-anchor here in town). Just updating my swaps and heading off to la-la-land!
Thank you so much for the Birthday card and the stamps!!! They are sooooo cute!!!! I love them and don't have any like it!!! Can't wait to play with them!!!! You are too sweet!!!!:-D
Ha hahahaha It's a small world is a nasty one that will stay in their little heads for a week! lol
The difference is I actually like that song. It's really sad because I find myself waking up in the middle of the night with all kinds of kids songs going through my head. I will be glad when they get out of the kid song faze.

It takes a while... we buy actual artists ( Braedy's favorite is Elvis ) or kids artists that sing unconventional stuff ( Chris Hamilton is a big one in our home - so much so that we've become pretty good online friends! LOL ) in hope of dissuading some of the usual brain numbing.... and yet, Jennah still asks for Kidz Bop cds and the boys want Disney soundtracks.

We have recently discovered They Might Be Giants ABC and their 123 albums. At least with those I feel like I am not going completely crazy and we can now play there other stuff and the kids dance around to it as well. My daughter is starting to branch out a little and will listen to other stuff but my son is currently stuck on Thomas the train so he is always singing it and it gets stuck in my head all day.

Have you ever heard of Billy Jonas? He is great for kids and adults..and some of his songs actually teach things. He came to my kids school and also did some performances at a local amphitheater..
