wow, $40-$60, that's like 3 or 4 or maybe even 5 stamps sets! Yep, I'm a goodwill shopper. I got me a pair of Ann Taylor pants yesterday for $2.50, with the tags on it, the pants were $80- can you believe someone would donate those to Goodwill without ever wearing them????? Man, I should've tried to return them to the store!

LOL.. I'm with ya, Kelli. The stink is bearable ( if I focus like I'm distance swimming breathing I'm okay ) but the sounds the eminate into the hallways when those freaky, dim cabana from hell style doors open up... YUCK!!

As much as I am so not gonna get my *** into their big old liar size 12's that are really size 8's at Hot Topic, the music annoys me far less in there ( and this is NOT a metal girl.. unless you're talking 80's hair band metal, and then maybe in small doses ).

Good gravy, have I missed being online!

I cannot wait for school to start next week. I've been out on the corner more than I've been at home, but it's been for off SCS projects mostly... hiding in the real world when I'd rather be doing something else just plain stinks.

LMAO!! Right on sistah.

Yeah, unless it's a company that I know and can generally rely on their sizes I don't shop online, and even then I end up return about 30% of what I buy
( some stuff I have to buy online... at least until someone starts brick and mortal selling something that will house the girls properly ).

On the other end of the extreme, I think that these crazy chunky momma clothiers ( I can say that 'cause I am one ) and their retarded single digit sizes need a kick in the head.
I realized, about two hours before hitting the road on Saturday, that I owned two things with concert friendly pockets; jeans ( which were out of the question - too effing humid ) and pajama bottoms.
So I swung into Fashion Bug in an attempt to find some capris on clearance ( 'cause I'm a cheap ho ) with the pockets I required.

They have these new sizings, like Chico's, and oh my flipping lord, I wanted to have a stroke.
Colors and numbers, so I look at the size chart, and then the color chart, take a guess ( like I know my natural waist line.. sheesh! And I wasn't about to let some retail flunky take it for me ) and grab what I thought looked right.

Seems I was way off 'cause I coulda fit, me at least two of my children and my fata** cat in those suckers for a game of Twister.

Only time in my life since junior high that at size 8 has been way too big! LOL

LMAO!!! You know I do believe in making one feel better about themselves but does buying a single digit size REALLY make you feel better.... I mean c'mon....

I have some new duds now but Hailey has decided to take over my clothes. I found a BUNCH of capris at Maurices and I bought ALL that fit as that is what I have to do cuz it'll be another year or so before I can find ANYTHING that either A)Covers my arse AND Drawers and B) looks like it IS new....I HATE GRUNGY CLOTHES, that oil look a couple years ago... ummm, yea! I was wearing SWEATS to dinner cuz I REFUSED to look like an Oil Can Henry's employee fresh off the job, would rather look like Trailer Trash!

Marci...thank you for the rain, it finally arrived last night. Then with some t-storms at midnight and 4:15 am...thank goodness I am off this week, cause I didn't get up until 8:00 am what w/Mac panting, shaking the bed, and sitting on top of me...

Clothing...I hate shopping for clothing. And I am extremely perplexed as to why are the butt crack/underwear sightings on young women??? Don't they check that out???? That's what the 3way mirror is for. And why do they try to put a 5 lb pig into a 2 lb poke? Now I am no skinny minny, (dr. said 25 more pounds when I saw him Friday) but even I know if ya can't zip it up ya don't buy it!

This is how I shop, ask Melanie cause I was on the phone w/her, go to Belks (local dept. store) find your size, (XL), look for all the XL pants & matching tops in those linen pant suits w/the embroidery at the bottom of the pants leg and shirt, purchase all you can find (it will be about 3 sets), pay for it and walk out the door. Total shopping time less than 30 minutes. I have those sets in peach, orange, lime green, green, pink, red, blue, olive, maroon...no white or yellow cause I don't like my underwear to show through. It's my uniform!

Hey MacHappy I am glad that the rain finally made it to you I didn't think it was ever going to stop here.

On the clothing topic it's so rare that I get to buy new clothes it's a real treat when I get a chance but I have to agree with Roberta about the single digit sizing in Plus size clothes the first time that I ran into that I had to give up and have one of the sales people explain it to me because there were just toooo many choices. I will be glad when I lost enough weight that I can shop anywhere for clothes. I am getting close to my prepregnancy weight from my second pregnancy then I will have to work on getting to my prepregnancy weight before my first child.

MY DD is doing a little better this morning but still has a little fever so I kept her home from school today. MY DS seems to be doing ok even though I think he might have a slight fever although it's really hard to tell with him because he is always hot. I am hoping to finish my Ho Swaps today I finally got all of the pictures printed out.

Little Debbie requested todays song...Love this one..

Manic Monday..
Six o'clock already
I was just in the middle of a dream
I was kissin' Valentino
By a crystal blue Italian stream
But I can't be late
'Cause then I guess I just won't get paid
These are the days
When you wish your bed was already made

It's just another manic Monday
I wish it was Sunday
'Cause that's my funday
My I don't have to runday
It's just another manic Monday

Have to catch an early train
Got to be to work by nine
And if I had an air-o-plane
I still couldn't make it on time
'Cause it takes me so long
Just to figure out what I'm gonna wear
Blame it on the train
But the boss is already there

All of the nights
Why did my lover have to pick last night
To get down
Doesn't it matter
That I have to feed the both of us
Employment's down
He tells me in his bedroom voice
C'mon honey, let's go make some noise
Time it goes so fast
When you're having fun

LMAO...I've glued card fronts on backwards thanks to HP! But I think that's better than burning yourself with the hot knife...OUCH! I've gotten burned by one of those babies...and dang they do hurt!!! I actually thought mine was already off and I grabbed it to take off the knife to clean it an put it away...BIG MISTAKE!

I watched PoA yesterday and then fell asleep...it is my favorite part so I didn't want to miss it...even though we have the collection on DVD...lol.

Finally got some rain this afternoon, didn't last very long...
Did a couple of loads of laundry...
Made the cold macaroni salad that I put in the container swap...
Just normal everyday Sunday stuff and the best part is that:

I'M ON VACATION!

I can of course stamp some images for those that wanted in but are on spending freeze, I really should be better about that...oops!
And I my dear will be knocking on your door and ringing your doorbell for some images...lol! Can't wait until my Whiff of Joy stamps get here. I only got 2 because the one I really wanted was out of stock...but I'll stamp you some of those.

It sure does, WHEN IT'S REALLY A SINGLE DIGIT! When you buy a size 5 and you know that every other pair of britches in your closet is three times that digit or more, it's not the same.
I know it's supposed to be a positive pyschological trigger and a good marketing scheme, but fat is fat, and don't hide it with a single digit. That's just BS. I'd rather say that I wear an 18, 20, 22.. whatever.. than "oh I just bough a size four!" when my I couldn't squeeze my frickin' thigh into one. Sheesh.

Kelli, my mom was uber petitie - 5'2" and not even 100 lbs when she died ( way underweight but at her 'fattest' she was about 120 lbs ) - and always made that same gripe. I think that petite women have just as difficult time as us plus sized girls. Nothing fits right. We'd take my mom into the juniors deprtment at stores, because she didn't want to look like a gunney sack or an old lady, and then she'd howl because pants gave a 2" crack show ( grunge wasn't quite in at that point, but thong visbility was popular, and faded stuff ).

Lots of capris and lots of boot cut jeans scarfed up in hoards as she found them.

And LJ, you are absolutely right. Dropping down a size feels AWESOME.
Way to go girl!!!

I kept some of my 18's, confident that by next spring they'll fit again.

They may be a bit outdated, but damn it, they'll fit!
