I just got these last week and so far really like it! I have found though, that there really isn't any one adhesive that fits every situation. With ANY type, though, BURNISHING really helps bigtime...

Love the mono or SNAIL glue - a little goes a long way!

I love the duck brand easy stick. It comes in a red cartridge that looks like the mono. It is so easy to use. I get it at Wal Mart for $8.27 for 4 rolls.

I hate duck brand's double stick, it is so hard to get off the roll.

Default card making adhesive

I think I am the only one who uses glue stix. I use schratch apper underneath and glue to the edges. Then I wiegh the paper down with book while I am glueing the next batch. I have never had a prpblem with the cards coming apart. I usually make 20 cards minimum at a time so cheap is a must. If I hav used eyelets first then I use double sided tape.

Believe me...I've tried that. I've even putting mono on both sides of the project, then burnished them together and it still didn't work.

I've tried that too and it didn't work. My card fell apart after about 15 minutes. This always happens when I use metallic CS.

Really??? DH bought me Vario tabs fro Xmas and I don't like them at all. I can never get the squares right where I want them. So they are time consuming. Sometimes the squares get stuck going back into the dispenser instead of popping out. And I think it's a waste when 3 of them stick together, side-by side on the project instead of nicely spaced out like on the box. Maybe I haven't gotten the hang of those, but I find it to be so time consuming to get the squares right where I want them, in the corners of my CS.

I never thought of using double sided tape because it always seemed so expensive for what you get on a roll. Now that I know you can get it from Viking and it seems to be the favorite I'd like to try it. Do you just use pieces or do you use a large strip? Comparing Mono to double sided, which one lasts longer?

I use Mono. Sometimes glue sticks to demo. My UL told me, you get best adheision with glue sticks if you glue up both peices.

I really like the double stick tape in the desk despenser.

Is double stick tape cheaper than mono?

Viking codes for double stick tape??

I guess I'm in the minority. I use the craft glue in the brown bottle. I just get it at Michaels for around 99 cents. Not sure what brand it is, however. It works great. Sometimes too great tho' cuz' once something is placed down, there's no moving it around like with other adhesives.

Mono adhersive hater here It is a rwisted evil....always wadding up in the dispenser and making bugers. What a waist. The cards I have incountered made with mono adhesive are easily disassembled even after a period of time. What another waist. After all the time and effort put into a card for someone, to have it come apart. How unfortunate for my reputation as a SU Demostrator. I often am able to recycle the paper from swapped cards made with monoevil

I must try the double stick tape and the duck permanent Easy Stick roller

Another vote for Scotch double-sided tape. I keep mine in a tape dispenser and go to an office supply store to buy the refills. You can get a two-pack of tape for around $4--you get about 4x more tape b/c the rolls have a lot more tape on them (900 inches vs. 450 or 600) vs. buying the single rolls in a plastic dispenser.

dncbanks, I never roll my variotab dispenser on the cardstock, I just roll it with my finger and pull the sqaures out and place them where I want them to go. That way you are in control Also say you place you're cardstock wrong or whatever you're tacking down, atleast you can quickly pull it up to adjust without messing up your cardstock, mine have always stayed permanent with the tabs after done with the card. I thought with the doublestick tape, once you put it down don't mess with pulling it back up or it will rip you're cardstock, which is annoying. So yes I love my little square tabs.

Default For me....

It's Alene's tacky Glue or glue sticks. never have a problem & I have made thousands of cards!

I just bought a Hermafix thing & it keeps getting jammed. As for the double sided tape, I like it, but it is too expensive. I can never fiind it at the prices everybody else herre says it is! (

For YEARS I have been using "The Art Glittering System" glue. The one that dries clear. It is awesome!

You only need a little on the edges of whatever you are adhereing. It does not buckle paper, it dries fast and makes thousands of cards with one bottle. I use Mono once in a while, just cuz, but the glue is my first choice!

I have never seen this product mentioned here, I am starting to wonder if this is my secret? Oh, no 10,000 SCS's now looking for this, I better stock up!

Thanks, that's good to know! I was buying individual rolls at Target for $2.57. I also like the duck adhesive from walmart but the 3M tape seems to last longer.

Thanks for all the replies. I think my problem is the Bazzill Textured paper I am using. I have tried double stick tape, but it won't stay. I am trying the Adhesive Tech rolling glue next. I went to the store and bought one of each type of glue to try out and I will see what works best.

I do think it really depends on what you are gluing.

Now, what do you use to adhere your ribbon? Most tapes are too large, so you have to cut them (major pain) and glue tends to bleed through. I tried the Art Glitter System Glue on my most recent project with ribbon and you could see all the glue dots through the ribbon.

I use Mono Permanent (SNAIL) or Hermafix dots. My Hermis have been messing up lately and I've had to remove the little tab thing from the inside wheel. They are doing better now.

Here is a techique page for Art Glittering System Glue

http://www.artglitter.com/techni.htm

It can be purchased from the same website.

I have also seen it in some Craftmarts, and local stamp stores.

Awesome stuff!
