Slightly off topic but might be interesting to read this thread I started back in April (about where stamp companies are now)

Rubber Stamp Madness updated their Where Are They Now list

ETA - actually, on second thoughts their rubber was red, not grey so it probably wasn't them!

Someone said Our Daily Bread stamps... I do have 3 of those sets, have they closed up business?
Hi Char! ODBD is definitely still in business and still creating wonderful Christian themed stamps. They have been one of the most popular booths at the Rubber Stamp Events stamp show in Mesa (every Nov & March) ever since they started coming. Always the first booth I head for when I'm able to attend! I see TLady already posted a link to their website. Awesome company. Wonderful stamps.

I see contrapat mentioned buying a CD of digital versions of Diamonds stamps - I bought that years ago myself and still use it quite often.

I have a couple of PSX stamps, otherwise I don't really know which of my stamps are no longer available. As for my treasured Verve collection - I'm still in denial over not being able to purchase Verve stamps any longer.

Joanne,

I don't know if he even had a company name. I bought from him on Ebay, and got some very nice sheets of stamps. (Back then I could buy in England and have them shipped to my mother-in-law in Watford, who would hold on to my stash until we came for a visit. Alas, she passed away last December, and my father-in-law is in a nursing home, so no more avoiding international postage for me- WAH!!!) Frankly, I'm not sure I even have his name right, but he was wonderful to deal with.

I hated it when Stamp Zia sold out. She had some marvelous green rubber stamps that were quite large. Another company I liked was Alex Stamping. Lots of purple rubber scenery stamps. Stampland had a lot of stuff, but I think they only sell at a few shows now. I can't think of any more now, but I miss all the variety.

Leave Memories will always be my first answer to this question. Does anyone remember them? It was a long time ago. I have 16 sets of their stamps. Still love them when I can use them.

Also, I own several well-loved stamps from these companies: Cornish Heritage Farms, Autumn Leaves, Art Declassified, Artgirlz, See D's, Clear Dollar, Verve Visuals.

And sometimes even though a beloved stamp line is still being sold, if they don't come out with new sets, then for someone like me who probably has most of the existing sets, they might as well be out of business. I feel like Artistic Outpost is one of those...slowly dying on the vine.

It is my understanding the couple from Stampland retired a few years ago. I asked one of the vendors I've gotten to know when they weren't there.

Does anyone know if Third Coast or Lost Coast are still around?

Lost Coast Designs is alive and has an active Facebook group and challenge blog. Not sure why you are getting that reject. Try this blog link and then the website link on the blog, they work for me: Lost Coast Portal To Creativity - Events and Challenge Blog

Ah, Third Coast. I think the owner Valerie keeps TRYING to re-open it but it often says Store Temporarily Closed when I go to her site. I've pretty much given up on them.

This reminds me of another stamp line I used along with Third Coast: Stamp Magick. They must be gone - Google brings up nothing.

Oh, you are soooo sweet!! It's always great to meet up with old friends.

There really should be a forum for "oldies but goodies" so they get a place to shine. Why have stamps if they have a shelf life of 3 months! haha

I have an old Inkadinkado stamp. Not sure if they are still around but the stamp is over 30 years old. I have a PSX and many JustRite stamps too. Is All Nighr Media still around?

Flourishes (run by Jan Marie Caruso not Marcella, she was the artist) did try to come back. But it didnít work out. Her health wasnít great. I was a designer for them while they lasted. Iím glad Marcella found a way to continue giving us her art as stamps when she and Flourishes parted ways. I love pretty much everything she draws!

I also miss Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers. They had the best sheets of rubber with vintage advertising designs. Fortunately I was able to get my faves before they closed.

Since someone mentioned little known companies. Try googling Eat Cake Graphics. They have/had some insanely cute images and most had little stories to go along with the characters.

Wasn't Third Coast bought out by Our Daily Bread????

Agree with many of the ones mentioned above (Posh Impressions (which later was purchase (I think) by Sunday Int'l. - oh, and Sunday International; PSX, Verve & Flourish). Did anyone mention:

3rd Coast
Hannah Stamps
Woodware (US)

I love using my old Stampin up wooden stamps. I know they are still in business, but the old artwork and designs were more to my taste than the current stamp sets. Sigh...I must be getting old!

I feel the same way jeannemlehrman! I haven't purchased from SU in forever!
I've noticed when a stamping company is waning, they tend to copy ideas from other companies, rather than be the innovator of a product or design. Sadly, MANY companies are going this route now.

Elzybells - still have them in my stash and love them as much as I did when I first bought them. Sue Nelson (Susie B here on SCS) used to make lots of cards with their images and Sue inspired me to try my hand at using Prismacolor pencils with Gamsol (Magic Coloured Pencil technique) as this was her mode of colouring at the time. Really started me on a wonderful journey of learning how to colour with pencils

Pink Gem Designs (UK company)

PSX - they were the first stamps I ever bought as there was a store here in Australia that sold them & I just adored them. The detail on them was amazing! I still have their thick catalogue which was more like an encyclopaedia with hundreds of card samples.

All Night Media
Fern Gully Stamps (Australian company)
Clear Dollar Stamps

Back in the 1990's I came upon some Posh Impressions stamps and also saw a Dee Gruenig video. I was hooked! Up until then stamps had been something the kids and I would stamp in black on color cardstock - and call it done. Dee opened up a whole new world to me - and the rest is history. Those old Posh Impressions stamps are probably still in my stash.

I remember Dee Gruenig from the Carol Duvall Show, which I adored. The owner of Hot Potatos was on her show. Magenta was a frequent visitor. And it was on her show that I "met" Tim Holtz.

I remember groaning every time she had a polymer clay artist on, because all I wanted to see was stamping.

That's right! I had forgotten all about the Carol Duvall show. (Ironic, what with all the special interest niche shows on cable nowadays that there isn't much of anything for stampers/scrappers.) I can't recall the guy's stamp company, Michael something, but he was on making cards using dried onion skin layers on top. That's the only specific project I recall. And, no, I did not take up onion skin card making.

Michael Strong? He used to show some great background techniques. For a while he taught classes at a few stores around San Diego. I donít live there anymore so I donít know if he (or the stores) are still around.

I ALWAYS LOVED the Carol Duvall Show too! I know what you mean about groaning when certain things would come on too. LOL Did you know she came out with a Paper Crafting Book? It is called: Paper Crafting with Carol Duvall. It was done by HGTV. A pretty good book in my opinion! It has more than 45 projects in it. It's how I learned to make envelopes too, before the Envelope Board..... Wouldn't it be NICE if they had a show like this again?
