"You show me yours, I'll show you mine" - My first card!
Hi everyone,
Not sure if this has been done before, but I thought this might be fun! Post your first card you made and include a brief description about it. Here's mine:
My first card was a sympathy card. It took me all night to make it where I was determined to come up with an idea on my own! (Dec 05)
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=64997
And here's my most recent upload, March 06:

This isn't the first card I made, but it is the very first card I ever uploaded to SCS. I remember how excited I was that it got a few comments! Now I think it's very ordinary and uninspired, but I guess we all had to start somewhere. LOL!

Everybody's cards are way cute!! Happy Heart, you are my stampin' idol!! That card was darling!
I was already stamping for a long time before I started uploading, but here's my first upload. http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=49000 Now I look at it and see that it needs some kind of background stamp.

This was one of my first uploads to SCS. I started stamping shortly before I made this. I actually made it in 2003, but when we had a super wonderful additional of server space (seriously!) I lost a bunch of my first uploads. This was my second stamp set. My first was Many Moos.

Looking at my first card I posted here a long time ago I don't think I have improved much! (Except for my love of background stamps) . . . I did see a card I had made for my MIL a few years back and it was horrible . . . I should've snatched it off her table for posterity!
I didn't start making cards until a couple years ago, when I started I was a strict scrapbooker.

Extreme Makeover
Last November VSN one of the challenges was to find one of your first cards, then make a newer version. So here is the one I had made in 2002, which I thought was very cute...
Invitation - Old Style
And here is the updated version...
Invitation - New Style
Boy what a difference Splitcoast has made for me!!!

For years, I just made cards and sent them. I started stamping in 1998, but got into it slowly.
Anyway, I finally got a scanner, apparently, in 2002. I'm not sure when I made this, but it got scanned in late 2002.

Oh wow....what fun is it to reminisce...the very first card I had courage to post. Here it is:
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...00&ppuser=9379
Please don't be confused by it being posted under a different gallery. It's really supposed to be under my gallery. I believe it's just a glitch.
And the very first card I made was before I knew anything about SU...here it is:

Here is mine from Dec 1995. I had just started stamping after attending a DOTS party. I thought I was pretty clever adding the raffia bow.

It was over a year ago when I posted my first upload. I had been stamping for maybe 6 months by then, and had started lurking here and finally posted something!
Back then I didn't use all SU! paper either, but now I usually do!

Well, I can't play ~I've only been stamping since just after Xmas so I'm still in the newbie category. I do have a small, pathetic little gallery which is nothing compared to all your lovely cards!!!!
It's encouraging to know I *WILL* get better, lol!!
