my thoughts exactly!

I'm a half-n-half gal. If I have time to spend hours coming up with my own idea, I'll do my own. If I don't have time, or can't think of anything, I'll case. Sometimes I do copy fairly closely, sometimes I start out that way and then change it up halfway through and end up with something totally different anyway. and yes, if I come up with something original and like it, I'll usually assembly line a bunch of them. seems to make it more worth my time and effort to come up with the design in the first place. (there are exceptions, of course, like finishing the card on the way out the door, or customizing something specifically for a certain occasion and it wouldn't really be appropriate to create multiples)

Default Creator vs Caser

I personally think i am a little of both. I usually come up with an idea of my own but then on the other hand if I am stuck for ideeas I will case. I usually do not case exactly because I like to try and make it my own.

I'm a little of both. Occasionally I have a great original thought and even get CASE'd sometimnes (I love that!!). Ideas do sometimes run dry and CASE then (plus there are so many cool ideas, no one could possibly have all of them!!!!)

I am a bit of both. I case cards if I really love them, but most of the time when I start out to make the card I want to case, I start to play with the design and all of a sudden I am off in a totally different direction with it.

Lately I find I want instant gratification and don't have the patience to spend 3 or more hours making a card. I really like simple layouts and find I am much more satisfied with how those look then when I spend hours making a card for someone.

Monochromatic cards are fun to make too and are forceing me outside my comfort zone.

I am primarily a caser....my job is stressful and when I get home and can look at all the beautiful cards by so many talented people, the stress relief comes from being able to create from these great ideas. I may make a few minor changes or change the color, but having the inspiration available allows me to just get busy and stamp! My favorite stress reliever! The funny thing is, the more tedious a design is, the more it calms me down! I happily give credit to the original creator!
