Post Would like info about the RAK group

Hi!

I cannot find any information about the RAK user group and wondered if anyone could let me know something about it before I apply. All I can see is that you can ask to join - and they will let you know in a couple of weeks.

I know it is Random Acts of Kindness - but what are the categories and what are the responsibilities?? It would be helpful to know them before applying - but I did a search for information and could not find anything.

Things I would like to know -

are there different categories of what one does in the RAK group? - say - Birthday Raks, a welcoming committee - the wish ( image RAK ) group... and if so - what are the responsiblities - duties???

I'd just like to know a little more about a group before I asked to join it.

Thanks for any info you can give me.

I do think it would make sense to post more info about all of the user groups - how else do you know if they are for you.

Thanks in advance for your info!

Deborah

Hi Deborah--

I don't know about the RAK user group (no doubt someone else will share the scoop on that), but if you like to RAK, check out the Need a Lift forum too.

There's a master list of RAK request threads with addresses in Need a Lift (and one for card drives too) there.

Anyone can play there and there are no requirements--other than a good heart and a card you want to share to make someone's day. . .

It's a great way to use extra swaps & VSN (Virtual Stamping Night) creations. . . *hint, hint*

I joined the RAK a couple of months ago. I did the one with mostly images but there are other things you can ask for too. I found it very confusing at first but had a great mentor (thanks Dorothy) who walked me thru it. I know it took a couple of weeks to get my "welcome letter" so I could get the ball rolling. I find myself fulfilling more wishes than I ask for, mainly because I can never make up my mind on what I want. I LOVE getting little surprises in the mail. I am sure that I didn't answer any of your questions, just wanted to let you know that I think it is lots of fun!
