My fav customer notice window sheets in the catty. She would like to know how to use them and I am void of such knowledge. Can anyone help?

Default window sheets

I use them for 2 things, shaker cards and the tissue & acetate technique. To learn how to do these techniques, click on "resources" at the top of the homepage and there's a tutorial on each of them. There are probably many other uses for acetate sheets too, but these are the ones I'm familiar with. Also, I buy my sheets at walmart or at staples (an office supply store) as they are so much cheaper there than thru SU. HTH

I also use them for shaker cards. But I stamp on them (using stazon ink) and then they become an overlay on a picture. You can also stamp them (stazon ink) and frame it for the wall. I see it at craft shows for a lot of money! I did my families name on a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet and got a frame for it! It looks very nice -- oh forgot to say I replace the glass in the frame with the sheet and then at the back I used cardstock. It appears the words are floating! I love window sheets! I wish I had my scanner working so I can show ya! Happy Stamping!

Default mosaic collage

We did a couple cards in my stampin group where we used plain cardstock for the main card than cut a slightly smaller shape with the window sheet and stamped an image such as flowers with stazon directly on the window sheet attach that to the front of the CS using 2 brads or eyelets on the top. than we tore small pieces of varies colours of CS and glued them on the CS behind the flowers to fill them in with colour ( just lift up the window sheet to do this). We than accented the piece with dots of glitter here and there. Very cute mosaic effect.

Default Window Sheets

This thread made me curious and got me to thinking. A dangerous thing for me! What are window sheets anyway? I always thought it was just a fancy name for overhead projector transparencys. SOOOOO, saying this, would this work? Viking Code Q08-VK2500 you get 100 sheets for 14.99! AND you can run them thru your printer!

I purchased the SU window sheets 2 yrs back and don't really use em unless I am making a shaker card. I just LOVE the new look of stamping on it with STAZON and using it as a background. Why didn't I think of that?

TT4N

Oh yeah . . . don't post after this . . . I have found that I am the best thread killer lately. Maybe thats why I hardly ever post . . . hummmmm
