Why does this happen when I leave a comment?
After leaving a comment, I'm not able to continue looking through the gallery where I left off. I have to start over from the beginning and then go back and click to the page # I was on when leaving the comment. If I hit the back arrow after posting a comment, it won't do anything but stay on the page I just left the comment. Hope this makes sense... I love to leave comments but it's frustrating when I don't know how to stay where I left off.

That happens to me too! I have to look and see what page I'm on before I click on the image, so I can resume looking. What a PITA!

I learned this trick here on SCS: If you hit the shift key when you click on the card it will open up another window. You can view, leave comments, etc. When done just X out of the window. Now you are back to where you started! This trick makes it so much easier to leave comments!

When I leave a comment and click on sumbmit, I put my cursor over the back arrow at the top of my screen and get ready......as soon as the screen turns light purple and says,"your comment has been successfully posted (or blah, blah, blah) I quickly double click on the back arrow, wait for the screen to pass back through the card and then it lands on the original spot where I left off, if I miss the purple screen and get to the card again, I need to triple click on the return key quickly. Holy cow, that was a long explanantion- but, it does work with a bit of practice- hope this helps!

This also happened to me. I do the same with the back arrow. If you snooze, you lose and back to the beginning you go.

Yesterday in the Site Suggestions forum, there was another thread about this issue, and Daven's reply was: "we *really* need to fix that." So, it's a known issue and is already on The List for fixing.

If you click the back arrow three times you go back to where you started. It would be cool for them to fix this!

A patient soul at this site gave me the answer.
If you right click on the photo, it gives you the option to open another window.
Choose that option.
It's easy and fast. Hope it helps you.
I guess we all have the same problem, when we start (smile).

The gallery here absolutely Confuddles me at the best of times... one time I thought I had favorited a card and I ended up getting about 500 email alerts to new entries in the gallery that had nothing to do with what I thought I had favorited... Have I missed the thread "Gallery for Dummies"?

I learned the shift key trick too - but if you forget, instead of trying to hit the back arrow on your browser, click on the little down arrow (triangle) next to the word "Back" and you can go back to the whole gallery.

great suggestions! I don't leave too many comments because of this problem - it gets too frustrating!
Glad to hear there may be a resolution.
