Default Why did I buy this Basic Brown ink pad?

I know WHY I bought it, but at the same time I don't know WHY I need it! I bought it because I read the many posts here a few weeks ago about using this for watercoloring and softening up the look of the card.

So why do I NEED this pad? It looks exactly like a Close To Cocoa. Couldn't I just use that pad instead? What am I missing with this???

Close to cocoa is not waterproof and will run using watercolors and blender pens. Basic Brown is waterproof like the Basic Black.

Its waterproof like the basic black so you can watercolor, the close to cocoa ink pads will run if you watercolor on them.

I have really liked using the Basic Brown pad with In Full Bloom on the confetti cream, US vanilla, and naturals ivory cardstock. Watercoloring with earthy colors looks really nice when using the brown instead of the stark black.

Also, it's not as dark as Chocolate Chip and it's a little darker than Close to Cocoa. It's a true brown.

You bought it because it was there! That's all the explanation we addicts need!

I guess you could use any of the brown pads but I personally use it for inking the edges of cardstock when I cut things out (squares, etc) I think it gives things a nice edge, obviously it would have to match whatever you were doing but I think it looks great
