You know how little paper plugs will get stuck in your crop-o-dile punch holes? I used to use a piecer to get them out, but now I just suck 'em out. Much faster!

If I'm doing a torn edge, I'll tear the paper then give it a quick lick. The moisture makes the paper more pliable and I can get a nice curl on the tear.

I guess recipients get a little extra *love* with my cards. RAK, anyone?
Girlfriend, you are making me laugh!

I'm a dimensional scrap user too. Kudos to SU's honeycomb design of the sheet to minimize the "waste" part. I look at some of the other dimensional companies and can't believe how much extra there is around their product.

Haven't licked/spit on my stamps or paper yet, but I have "huffed" and stamped off a few extra times instead of pulling out the Stampin Scrub for the little images.

I'm phobic about salvaging every scrap of paper. If its too small to use for an image I try to find a punch I can punch a shape with so I don't throw away even the smallest of pieces. This leads to every few months having to completely overhaul my scraps and get rid of some, but in the initial moment of "trash or save" I salvage every square inch of paper.

I also have been known to go in Goodwill or other charity stores and looked at clothes strictly for embellishment purposes. If I find a blouse that has cool buttons or embellishments and it's .50 or $1 it's all mine. I'm sure they've seen me shopping in the petite section and thought "Dream on, lady" but hey, it's a very cheap way to buy embellishments!

YOU are making me laugh, too! (great idea BTW)

Of course I use the dimensional edges too, why ever wouldn't you?? And I have caused my teenaged DD's to turn away in disbelief when I have "found" buttons, ribbons, charms... whatever! on clothing, packaging...again-whatever!

But I must admit I have never licked a stamp...ewwwww comes to mind.

I am trying to think of somethine new to add, and if I do, I'll be back!

Great question!!! I hate it when your leg touches the toilet because you're trying to get around the door!

Anyway, back to licking the stamps......ewwwww
I had just never heard of it before. I also blot it off on my placemat, but then I faithfully spray and scrub. Stamping off a few times means I don't have to clean the scrubber as often.
Anyway, does your tongue turn colors, like when you drink koolaid, or eat a popsicle?

They probably stick in there because the spit is acting as a glue. Maybe you can market it!
Seriously, I use the paper piercer.
I use the nut pick (that comes with a nutcracker) to dig wax out of the bottom of a candleholder.

This thread has turned out to be hilarious! Thanks for answering!
I too save the Su DP white chipboard and I have used it in my Cricut and made huge white flourishes and then embellished them for pages.
I also seem to save way too much scraps, punch them, etc.

You guys are too funny.
Are you sure it's safe to lick the ink off, even if it is a very tiny amount?

I am at work, laughing my bum off, with everyone looking at me strange! This thread should come with a warning!

I definitely use my dimensional edges, and usually always cut them in half. I use way too many not to do this!

I bought something the other day, a bath set. It was packaged really pretty, and there was a "pop dot" of sorts holding two of the items together. I quickly removed it and took it to my stamp room to use on a project. That is one less pop dot I will have to buy!

I save all my packaging from SU! I have even used cereal boxes to punch out scallops to put under DSP for bookmarks. I used a soup can (washed, of course) the other day. Covered it with DSP and punched holes in it with my crop-o-dile (which I have never sucked on ) added ribbon, and made a pencil holder for my kitchen. I just saved an empty glass, olive jar last night, it will be something soon...I'm not sure what!

I will blame it on the recession, but I think I am getting frugal in my old age, but I will call it creativity!!!

I always use the dimentional edges.

Never licked a stamp...but also never thought of it. I do lick my thumb and clean my toddlers face...

maybe I should lick my thumb to clean my stamps

This is not my original idea, but one I found here on SCS. When I cut CS to use for matting, I first punch all the shapes I can out of the center. I doesn't affect the mat and I have a few more tags, etc., saved for future use.

Okay I do cut my dimensionals in half and use the scraps. I don't lick my stamps but I sometimes spit on them and wipe them on my jeans. I will be in deep trouble if I ever sit at my stamp table wearing good clothes!

OMG! I do this too! My jeans always have ink on them! My bathroom is a mess! I usually stamp early in the morning before work, so my bathroom catches a ton of ink. It is nice because it is fluffy and textured, so it cleans well!

Do you mean bathrobe? I'm trying to figure out why your bathroom, which is fluffy and textured, is catching lots of ink!?

I have three boys, if my bathroom was fluffy and textured, I'd rip it out and put in a new one, made of stainless stell, preferably!

I use up every bit of my Dimensionals, too! Most of the time, I even cut them ALL in half! LOL One of the necessities that I HATE spending money on!

I always use my dimensional edges, and I save all of that white chipboard from the dp. I have cut it to 6 x 6 then covered and added a binder clip to make a faux clipboard. I have also cut it to 4 x 6 to make a post it note holder (sorry no pics yet). And I must confess that I do occasionally lick my stamps. Haven't tried the crop-a-dile thing but my pieces do get stuck every now and then.
