Default Where to send them?

Hi girls

I'd like to gather some ladies together to convert cardfronts to cards, stamp some new cards, etc. to send to the soldiers, either directly to them, or to a recovery hospital. These will be blank cards for them to use to mail to their loved ones. Problem is, I don't know where to send them. Anyone have some suggestions for me?

Thanks!

That's such a great thing to do! The perfect place to send them is to the Cards for Heroes organization. They'll accept cards for either the soldiers themselves, or for the soldiers to send back home to loved ones for special occasions. CFH also accepts stamping supplies or monetary donations to help cover shipping costs to send all these donated cards overseas.

I'm sure they'd appreciate your donations!

Go to www.anysoldier.com and they have all the info you need. My brother in law always says this is his favorite site for info. He served 2 yrs Korea, Afganistan and Iraq.

This was a really cool site - Thank you!!

The link to the Cards for Heroes Program (under "Other") wasn't working, but I discovered that they also collect beanie babies for the soldiers on foot to hand out to the local children they encounter fostering good international relations between the American soldiers and the people. Cool!

I will be able to send boxes of blank cards to my husband to leave in the common area at his future base for those stationed there to send home to their loves ones, but he won't be leaving for a few months.

One of the things I love about SCS is that there are so many non-stamping bits of information shared, such as www.anysoldier.com. One of the links on this site showed the ranks (and emblems) of each branch of the military. It is quite informative! Thanks for sharing!
