Where has my family gone?
I used to live in the most wonderful home. EVERYONE was kind and considerate. EVERYONE! I had a great SCS family too. Lana, QC, PrincessMi, Sue and Robin to name just a few. I come here looking to see how they all are and they are no where to be found. I wonder if it’s because people are NOT being kind and considerate. I know I am a bit scared to come visit anymore. I mean, I stink I know, but I don't aim my tail straight at anyone. AND, if I do offend it’s usually not meant to be that way.
Can we please practice being NICE. Maybe if we do some of my family will come back and you all can see how wonderful SCS can really be!

I totally agree with you Skunky. I don't enjoy being on this site anymore. I was looking through the thread names for some new stamping ideas and could hardly find any that were about stamping unless they were negative blows at SU!, certain SU! demos or the other negativity that's been pretty common on here lately. It's been one big viscious circle...someone does something someone else doesn't like. There's a big discussion about it that gets out of hand and everyone's panties in a bunch and then there's the apologies...the apologies end up in debates and so on and so forth. Yawn. This used to be a happy place. I can't seem to find that place anymore.
I'm quite sick of it. Sick of the cattiness and pettiness. Stamping is fun, but apparently discussing it in a civil manner is impossible for some. They ruin it for everyone. I'm going to get a hobby that I can discuss with men...men don't act this way. I thought we were all adults.
In fact, this is my very last post. I will cruise the galleries, but will not be giving my opinions, advice or 2 cents anymore.

This just irritates the heck out of me that this used to be a great place, but then some bad apples show up, thinking they own this site, and things are being posted that shouldn't be. If you are a demo, read your agreement and STICK TO IT!! Don't sell your stuff on Ebay knowing that you are breaking your agreement and then come here and brag about it. If you aren't a demo, WHY are you on the Demo Only Board? If you want to be there, SIGN UP AS A DEMO!!! Don't be sneaky! It ain't cool. Don't make up cutesy/fake names just to spill the beans on the GD board about something that SU or other demos wanted to hype up. I am sure that SU is already turned onto this site, and if this crap continues, you can bet that they will stop or cut back on their specials and special announcements!! Do you want that to happen?! I sure don't! SU doesn't owe anyone anything, and they do not have to be as generous as they have been. Because of what some of the other demos are doing, the customers are getting irritated by thinking we (the demos) are keeping stuff from them.
The pettiness and the cattiness is rediculous! How old are we? Are we in Jr. High? NO!!
Keep your fingers off the keyboard if you are only going to post something to stir up trouble. A lot of ladies here (including myself) are SICK OF IT!!!!
I'm starting to wonder if the owners/moderators will have to start make big changes such as banning or doing what the SU Discussion board does: They read the posts before they actually post them! Do you want this board to turn into that? I certainly don't because that is the reason I stopped going to the SU board. This place was/is much more informative and friendly. That seems to be changing.
Last but not least: If you don't like or agree what someone says there is a great thing to do: IGNORE THEM AND THEY WILL EVENTUALLY GO AWAY!!!! LET THEM GO RUIN SOME OTHER BOARD!
One more thing:
PLAY NICE OR NOT AT ALL!!!

Ignoring the negative people is best. When we argue with someone and let them know that they are getting to us...it gives them power. We don't want someone like that in power do we????? Ignore it and maybe it will go away!

Okay, I hope this doesn't come across in the wrong way because I understand that some are missing the way SCS used to be. I am new here and have not contributed to the negativity (at least, I hope not). I understand that change can be really hard and that some bad apples can spoil the whole bunch but please don't think that there aren't some really positive additions to SCS in amongst some of the bad stuff that has surfaced. Just don't want any of you put off from the site that you won't take the time to get to know some of us relative newbies. I'm pretty lovable, darn cute, and here to contribute to make this place a great one, not to detract from what it once was.

Here's what I've gained from SCS:
*A new best friend (Kydalo) that I hope to meet in 'real' life someday!
*An awesome folder of techniques and tutorials!
*A wonderful SCS'er gave me the gift of the Dirty Dozen Design Gallery! Which in turn has inpired me to give without expecting anything in return!
*Lots of insight into why people are the way they are.
*Tons of great trade items!
*A huge amount of awesome swap cards, scrapbook pages, jewelry, technique books, etc.
*****and the list goes on, and on, and on............!
Choose to have a good attitude and be the one that spreads it to others willingly!

I have seen time and time again...
How message boards like this start out and they are so great. Everyone is encouraging and nice to each other. There aren't arguments and cattiness. Then as the board gets bigger and more people come you get a few bad apples. Just like in life you will find people that thrive on arguments. They will instigate a fight and call it "constructive discussions" and feel they have a "right" to voice their opinion. I guess I differ in thinking this way. I am sure the owners of this wonderful board pay every month for this website. I don't think its free. Kind of like going to someones home. I wouldn't dream of going to someones home and starting a fight with them or their other guests. What gives them the right to do it here?

If we simply did not give in to the negative posters and when they started to argue and bring strife just simply ignore them. How long would a post go on if they were there to argue with themselves and noone paid attention to them? I would guess not very long. So I have chosen to not take part in these argumentative posts. Just my personal opinion, if everyone tried to do this then the people who want to argue probably wouldn't stay here very long. They would get bored.
Anyway, thank you to all who have given me the warm welcomes and encouragement and great help. I for one really appreciate it!

I don't think any who have been here at SCS for a while are against change - that's what keeps this place alive and that's all good. We love to get to know new people and look forward to their creativity as they share their cards, etc... I think what has happened, though, is that there have been quite a few "less than positive" converstaions happening, and then it's natural to pine for the "good ol' days". But we know we can't go back... we do want to make this the best place that it can be, but sometimes it's hard. So, please bear with us as we try to regain our focus. Share with us your positive thoughts; let us get to know you.... and we'll soon become fast friends!
Just my $.02 CDN which we all know it's worth all that much !!!

I'm with this 100%. If we, those who want to focus on stamping-related topics, band together and agree as a group to never again add to a negative (or even potentially negative) thread - hard as it may be sometimes - those threads would move down the list pretty quickly. At the same time, we can all try to add postive posts, which will push the negatives down even faster.
