I ordered Prismatics cardstock and was not really pleased because of its flimsiness. This is what I ordered from All That Scraps -- http://www.allthatscraps.com/index.p...&cPath=318_321
The colors are very pretty and I love the texture, but way too wimpy for me. Did I order the wrong weight of Prismatics cardstock? There was no weight listed where I purchased it.

I buy my base white and ivory from Gina K, exclusively. They are amazingly heavy and smooth.

PTI for colors.

Love the PTI paper since the first time. Good quality. And the price is good too witch is a great plus since I live in Curacao and have to order most of my good stuff from the USA. I have tried SU paper too but did not like it so much.

Switching all from SU to PTI paper and coordinating ribbon, ink, etc. Since I decided not to sign the new IDA, I have ordered from PTI, Ellen Hudson, Flourishes, and just about every other thing I have seen that I love. Even went to Michaels, Joanns and Craft Warehouse. Planning for a class that I am going to be teaching in October so need some non-SU product. Having lots of fun and starting a great organizational system with the PTI stamp sets I have.

not having to plan a card around ribbon availability. If I want to make a cutesy card with polka dot ribbon I want to be able to do it in any color. Does that make sense?
Yay! Enjoy your new paper! I {heart} PTI! They have fantastic colors, love the weight of their paper, and their customer service is top notch.

And yes! Totally makes sense that you want polka dot ribbon in a VARIETY of colors. I love being as color coordinated as I do or don't want to be.

It's easy to make ribbon any color--run white ribbon over the inkpad while pressing it down with a fingernail--be sure to heat set. (Am I making sense?). For polka dots, just put pigment ink on a polka dot stamp--iron to set.

Sorry--I'm an SU! paper fan--for me, thicker paper is TOO thick when you do several layers. I can't stand the thin stuff sold at craft stores. SU! paper is a great thickness, I've found.

Best of luck to you!

I use PTI exclusively for card bases. I sometimes print sentiments out on office supply store Georgia Pacific white or ivory as the PTI and my printer sometimes don't get along (it's very thick). Love PTI kraft and vintage cream!!!! Yum! And all the colors, of course. For scrapbooking, I mainly use Bazzill 12x12 for bases--I adore their dotted swiss in the kraft, browns and golds...

I use Hollos for my bases as it is really sturdy, wonderfully priced and only about 1 1/2 hours from me. I use to order SU almost exclusively for my cs but just recently ordered from PTI and love their CS. They have excellent customer service, quick shipping, great prices and are overall wonderful

For years I have used SU, and I don't have any complaints about it. I use Gina K. for coloring with Copics since she introduced that-I haven't found anything better for Copics. I just received my sampler pack from PTI with all the colors, and I am IN LOVE! The weight and smoothness are fabulous! I'll probably still buy some SU-- as they have a few colors I really like that PTI doesn't have. But Gina K. and PTI will be where I buy the bulk of my paper from now on.
