Default where to buy sliding trays for wire cubes

Can anyone help me out. I bought the 6 cube wire storage unit from Target and thought I saw a link on this site on where to purchase the trays that will slide out. Thanks

I bought mine at Seville Classics

http://www.sevilleclassics.com/merch...ategory_Code=C

Maybe that is about the right price but I did think they were high. 3.99 for 2 sets of tracks. I bought my wire cubes from here, eBay and other. I got enough to hold all 48 colors of cs plus a few more. I think I can hold like 54 or 57. I can't remember which. But those two numbers pop in my head. I have not been able to find any elsewhere after posting this question. I have seen someone else's cubes with shelves that are different from mine. Have yet to receive a response. They called them "clips".

I have the cubes (well, they are from my college years) but I have used the cable ties (thin strips of plastic that attach). You just pull them tight and it works like a charm. They come in lots of different colors. I need to put some more together because I have 2-3 packs of CS on each.

If you want to put trays in your cube shelves, you could buy acrylic box frames. They come in all sorts of sizes and are great for paper. I use them in my literature sorter to put my scraps in.

maklady.... I never would have thought of using those ties. But I will remember that if I need to add any one. What a great and inexpensive idea. I wish I would have known that before I bought all my tracks.

Mine came with the tracks....I actually do not pull them out ever....I would suggest using zip ties unless you just have to pull them out - the zip ties are cheaper and will hold just fine...

this may be a silly question but what are you guys using for the actual shelf with either the ties or the slide tracks?? I was thinking of getting the hubby here to make some sort of thin wood shelf? thought that might be too heavy after you get so many in there. Hmm..... not sure!! I do like the zip tie idea though - way cheaper!!

Bonnie, I am using the wire grid panels. Here is a pic of mine with only two of the cubes put together. My room is being renovated right now so I didn't want to put them together until it's ready.

I thought mine was very hard to put together. Of course I have no strength in my right hand since I broke it this past summer, but it seemed like you had to push those puppies in pretty dang hard. I love it. I will have DH put the rest of it togehter. I think I will have a total of 6 cubes (holes) when it's all done and either 54 or 57 individual shelves for my paper. Now I just need to figure out how to store my scraps.

I use a small hammer (MY hammer!! I do not let my dh get ahold of it or it will disappear!) and tap the plastic thingy rather lightly so that I do not have to work so hard.... I have a set in my dd room and one in my closet and have put them together and taken apart several times (for our moves) and they still work just fine! A rubber mallet would work well too...
