Default Where to buy different sized envelopes?

While the turkey is in the oven, I'm sitting here watching card making videos to pass the time.

She made a long card (I believe she said it measured at 7 x 8.5) and once she folded it, it would fit in a regular sized business envelope. I've never made a card this size before but it looks interesting to do.

Instead of using just regular ole long envelopes that I can buy at Walmart I'd like to get some in Christmas/Holiday colors (red, green, blue, silver, gold)

Anyone know of a good place to buy/order this size in these colors? Thanks!

This chart helps me figure out envelope sizes. If an odd size or just in the mood I make envelopes using an envelope punch board. But if I recall, Jam paper has some narrow, tall envelopes. If the width is 3.5” (7” folded) a regular business envelope would be a little big for my taste. But purchased white envelopes could be decorated too. I bet others have good stores, however.

Try envelopes.com. I’ve not used them but came across the site when I was looking for an odd size envelope.

I have found them in the past at Walmart (by the Christmas greeting cards/stationary) or maybe Hallmark - again near the Christmas stationary.

Staples and Office Depot have a good selection of colorful business envelopes this time of year (they sell them for companies that still send out Christmas letters or to make their bills more appealing).

I've had really good luck at thrift stores! I grabbed a BOX of envelopes, all different colors and sizes, some without "stick" on them but there were probably over 100 total for $2. For more specialized colors and sizes, Jam Paper has a good selection as well as envelopes.com. Shipping is a killer though so be prepared.

in the tutorial section, there is one called Any Size Envelope which I have used. You could use coloured copy paper, or buy some coloured lightweight cardstock.

I just received an order from Envelopes.com. They are very fast, have good prices. I have never been disappointed with them.

If I only make a few in odd sizes I will also make the envelope. Keep them about 1/4 inch bigger in each direction makes them easier to use. I use the card as my template and play with it. Try calendar pages, kraft wrapping paper, shelf paper, or just large sheets of 20 lb or more computer paper. If you use calendar pages, put the address on a gummed address label of some sort so it can be read clearly.

I have a punchboard that works great. Sometimes I just “wrap” the card with whatever cool paper I want to use (magazine pages can be amazing) , unwrap, trim and use adhesive.

I use envelopegenerator.com for odd shape sizes and make my own with the punch board.
