What's the oddest card request you've had?
I have a nephew whose divorce will be final next month. He asked his mother, my sister, if I would make him a "I'm glad I'm not married to you any more you psycho *****" card. I said I would but you know, I just had to do it my way. I did a black rose embossed on a white scalloped oval, matted on a black scalloped oval then on a torn white square on a black card. I embossed "Thinking of You" in silver on the front and made three verse inserts of varying intensity but no profanity or viciousness. I always believe in a difficult situation, you should strive to take the high road. I was pleased when he got the card, he chose the highest road verse. He may never mail it but I think he just wanted to make a mental statement.
How about you? Stranger than that?

My husband asked me to make a canine sympathy card.
That's my weirdest . . .
well that and he asked me to scrap his ex-wife's new wedding album.
that's kind of akward too.

I made a "U SUCK" card. someone here said she thought she should make one for a mean sisterin law. I could not resist and I made one. I will probably never send it to anyone but it is cute as heck and always makes me smile. My husband laughed so hard I was worried he would wet his pants. He thought it was so funny to make a card like that. Anyway, it is so cool that you can put absolutly anything on a card.....

do either of you have a picture of the cards you made. I was asked this from a friend going through a nasty divorce. I didn't know you could make something like that.
Thanks

I've been asked for a Get Well Soon card for a dog
Love the sound of the design of the divorce cards, have always thought of doing some for my sales box but could never think of what sort of thing to do on them!!

My brother is a big COOK. He bought one of the Coleman Big Green Egg cookers. He was so excited he had me make birth announcements to send to family and firends that would "get it". He wanted me to include the date/time it arrived and the weight. I wish I still had one to post because it was really funny. He's a little weird.

That is the funniest thing I have ever heard! I should have made birth announcements for my sister to send when she received her Cricut. She would not shut up about it! I am so doing that next time that situation comes up! Thanks for sharing!

My Aunt is letting me figure out how to use her Cricut since she has had it for about 2 months and hasn't even taken it out of the box. Now I think I need one. I just might have to send announcements for that, too. I guess I'm weird, too.

I've never had a wierd request, but a friend showed me a website that made humerous cards for not-so-humerous occasions (divorces, ended engagements, miscarraiges, etc)
I'll see if I can find the link, some of them were great.

Found it!

They're not actually making cards anymore, but you can still view them. Good inspiration for those odd requests.

I did a card recently for the UPS guy at work. He's been our delivery guy for years but he was promoted. I filched an image of a UPS truck and used it as the front image. He really got a kick out of it.

I wish I had taken a picture or scanned it. It's pretty simple. Just be careful of the verse that goes inside. If it actually gets mailed, I don't know what the Post Office might think of it if the receiver decides to make trouble. That's why I took the high road.

My sister is a bank VP, in charge of facilities in about 5 different cities, and reports directly to the bank president, who is a real jerk and is always volunteering her for additional projects on top of a very busy workload. She was having a particularly bad day recently, and called me to blow off some steam. That evening I made her a card w/ SU's "So Very"...the front was white w/ red and black accents and read "So Very Sorry..." and on the inside..."Your boss is an a******!. She loved it and it helped cheer her up.

A couple of years ago on this site someone had made a card for someone who had had a vasectomy. I wish I had put it in my favorites because it was hilarious. Did anyone save that one??? It was soooo funny!
