Question What's everybody do with the inside of the card?

Hi! I'm just wondering what all of you do with the inside of your cards? Do you stamp sentiments, write your own on the computer and print out, use paste ons from craft stores.... ??? I feel like I spend all this time making a pretty cover and then come up short with what to put inside. My poetry skills are not that great and sometimes the inside feels like a let down if you know what I mean? Any ideas would be much appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

It depends on the type of card...i usually leave them blank. For invitations and stuff i print the info on my computer and then usually mount them inside as part of the overall design.

I stamp or computer-generate a nice sentiment on neutral cardstock. Since my cards tend to be "top heavy" (or would that be "front heavy?"), I usually mat the sentiment on a piece of DP that coordinates with the front of the card. That way, the card will stand up without falling over. Unfortunately, the only photo I have of the inside of one of my cards is this one, which is an older card and kind of plain. But it gives you an idea.

I like to stamp a sentiment on the inside. And I also emboss it,
which I think gives it a nice touch. Usually everyone I give a card
to will run their fingers over it and ask, How do you do that?

Write in it, of course! But then again, I don't make cards to sell or give away as gifts, I only send them.

Default Wow! Thanks everyone for your ideas!

I often use my sentiments stamps on the outside and don't have enough of a supply for inside sentiment stamps too, except I did have some Christmas ones to choose from.... but like for a birthday or a congratulations I was either just coming up with my own or doing something on the computer, but finding ideas of what to say is hard. I wondered if there might be a place where cool sentiments have been recorded. I've seen little booklets of rub on's at the craft stores, but no real book of ideas... hey.... someone here... that's a good business idea!!! Thanks again to all who responded!

There is a book that has card sentiments in it. My mom gave it to me years ago and I completely forgot I had it until just now...

http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Guide...4462612&sr=8-2

I have the one for cards and for scrapbooking. I'll have to start using them.

I guess it really depends on the purpose of the card. If it's just a note card, then I line the inside of the card w/a sheet of neutral copy paper, (grey, ivory, white) stamp (usually in watermark ink or memories soft) some sort of small corresponding image on the left inside and leave the right inside blank.

Sympathy, Xmas, Easter, Birthday I have enough generic stamps to cover.
If I'm bored w/those sayings, I just computer generate. Or go back and look at cards I've received and modify. Sources are the Bible, famous quotes giving credit when due, just whatever I think up.

I mostly leave them blank. I have some generic insides such as 'May you find happiness, always' and also a Suzy Torento Birthday poem.

I write a note inside. Makes the card more personal, IMO.

I usually just leave them blank. But I like the idea of putting something inside, so I might start changing that up.

I have started to use fully colored cardstock for the card base and use a neutral on the inside so it has a frame...looks nice and have been stamping a setiment. I have just joined TAC and they have a HUGE variety of sentiment stamps that I jut love and since their stamps are at a much lower price, it is super easy to get the stuff I like with images AND get the sentiments too!

I am loving the newest stamp set I have gotten...
"Life is too short" and a ton of things to follow I have been using that a ton...now I will ahve to start embossing like the above posters have mentioned...what a great idea! I need to emboss more! I guess I need to move my heat gun to my desktop so I rembember to do it.

I asked this very question a week or so ago and was directed to this website. http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/...ing&index=SOUP At the top right corner where you can search, click on the entire site drop down arrow then click on Pea Soup. From there you choose your occassion and you'll get lots of quotes, etc. I choose a saying or verse or poem and then computer generate it for my card.

I always put a white or cream paper insert with a stamped sentiment in the card. Sometimes I leave the insert blank. Always put the insert in 'cause it makes it much easier for people to write in the card then. Not everyone has the right colour pens to write on dark cardstock. Looks neater and finishes the card off too.
