I was just thinking about tags today. Do you just do them out of paper to be taped on, or do you make them sticky somehow?

I use a little piece of double sided tape and stick it on the back and just leave the paper backing on the other side so they just have to peel it off and stick it down. HTH!

Thanks - and duh. I was thinking of using adhesive sheets so the adhesive would cover the whole tag but your way is a lot better!

I think I'm going to do some tags and will probably try 10/$2.50 as well. I think I may try $2.75 for individual cards (ugh, I know, math - but in Boston I'm hoping I'll get that for them) and maybe 4/$10. I'm not sure about card sets yet. I am going to do 4 coasters per set and thought I'd put $10 on them. I'm also doing stamped dominos but I'm up in the air on what to charge. Initially I thought $1 but nonstamping friends said I was selling myself short. Someone told me to charge $12! No way, but I'm thinking $3 for a necklace, maybe $2.50 for ornaments and $2 for magnets. Thoughts?

I think those sound like good prices. I would at least sell the dominos for $2 not $1. I haven't had very good luck with card sets. Seems people would rather pick out their own than to have them all the same. The only ones that I still do are Christmas card sets because those sell pretty good.

I probably won't do too many sets and will keep them simple - maybe even just blank note cards. This is just so interesting to see how varied people's experiences are at these things - it seems like others have said they never sell any Christmas cards. It's my first one so I'm just going to experiment and see what works, hope for the best, and try to learn something and not be too disappointed whatever happens.

I'm sure you have read this somewhere on SCS but one thing that you should definitely do is keep one of everything you make so that you can take orders. I plan to do that this time. I haven't done that before!

That is a good tip - I was thinking of having photos of everything but your idea is better! Thanks!

Has anyone sold the Acrylic Post-it Note holders and how much would you sell them for?

Also, has anyone sold the 12 month CD Calendars before? How much would you sell those for?

Thanks!

I've sold acrylic post it note holders for $5 and $6 each depending on the embellishments. They sold out fast and now I can't find the frames anywhere! I was able to get them at the dollar store and now they're nowhere to be found. Too bad because they were easy to make and everyone liked them.

I just picked up 10 of the 4x6 acrylic frames for 96 cents each at Walmart. I am going to try and do all 10 and maybe more- I just don't want to be left with a lot of stuff.

I like the idea of saving one of everything for orders- do you have them pre-pay for what they order.

Default paying for orders

Scraphappily:

We talked about his on another thread. I think that it is a good idea to just have someone pay for it ahead of time...one of the other ladies said that she has them pay for half....and someone else shared that she didn't and after she had the product made the person backed out. So I think it would be good to have them pay!

Oh I love the idea of the Husband Survival Kit!!

I sold out of covered post-it note pads last year so plan to make lots of those this year.

Gift tags / mini cards (the ones I use come with an envelope) sell very well for me individually. This year I am putting together a few 'colour your own' gift tag kits for children - if they do well at my first event, I'll put some more together.

Subscribing. There are websites if you google them that have the recipes for the dry ingrediants that you put into the jars and then attach the recipe card. I did a copule like this last Christmas.

I find cookies in a jar do well. You can find a bunch of recipes for jar stuff at www.allrecipes.com. They have cookies, pancake mix, cocoa mix, all kinds of stuff for jar stuff. You can even bag the mixes...
Good luck....Chocolate covered pretzels are always a hit.....

My magnets sold best a few years ago. I used a circle punch, stamped & colored an image, put one of those round clear glass things on it, and stuck a magnet on the back. The holiday images went fast.

I made acrylic Post it Note holders with baby pictures on them for sweet birth announcements for my son's new baby. I am taking orders for them at 5 bucks each; customer is to provide all wallet size photos.

Make sure to be wearing or using what you are selling!
If you are selling domino necklaces or pins, make sure you(and any helpers) are wearing one!) If it is better decorated or unique, have a price in mind and be willing to sell it off your neck!

Be writing down your notes and orders in a notebook you decorated or take names for your guest book with one of your decorated pens.

Also as the sale winds down, and you still have items left, you can ask if other vendors are open to trades, if you want to go that route. I got a lot of Christmas presents that way when I was doing craft shows.

Have fun and good luck!

My best seller was mini books. But I'm a scrapper, and I love mini books. People ate them up for $15-20 a pop! Next was altered notebooks and pens for $6, altered some frames for $6. Maybe it was the place I was at, but my nugget boxes and 2468 boxes with candy did not sell at all! I even priced them at $2!
