It's good to know I'm not alone. I recently lost my mind buying Inca Gold paints. My first purchase was 8 pots! Thanks Youtube, lol...

My largest and most expensive addiction are colors. Paints, pencils, Copics and other markers, stamp pads, and mediums of all types like glazes and embossing pastes for example Don't get me wrong I'm happy with every purchase, but the cost of professional grade products have cost a small fortune. Colors make me happy, but money's I've spent not so much! I'm getting better and have managed to avoid zig brush markers so far, but I'm tempted😄

I heart Zig brush pens so much! For people unfamiliar with them, they're Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens, though not actually pens - they have a little brush on one end, and are water based. It can be confusing since there are other Zig pens/markers.

https://kuretakezig.us/pens/clean-color-real-brush/

Jennifer McGuire has three videos demo-ing how to use them. Can use for watercoloring, smooshing, just coloring. Not to enable anyone or anything.

Carpe Diem Markers generally have the best price on individual ones, and also sells sets.

Trouble maker + enabler = trenabler?

Why Anne, did you think I was posting to you?

I sometimes use them for a bit of accent color, like a dot in the middle of a flower. I'd classify them in the clear, bright category, though they have pastels and neutrals too.

I played with them for the first time in a class at a Stamp & Scrap Expo - a background technique with three colors brushed onto a little piece of acetate, spritzed, and part of the card pulled over it. Fairly delicate. Love at first smoosh.

Yes! I've managed to avoid buying them! Thanks to your "Trouble maker + enabler = trenabler?" post they're now in my cart. The question is will I hit the buy button

I have to admit I'm fairly addicted to little cube inks, especially Hero Shadow and Distress. Plus the tins to put them in!

I just bought 6 more mini cubes on Hallmark for $2.24 each and only about $3.00 shipping. I figure anything under $20 doesn't count, right?

(I only will have 11 left to have all 61, though I generally don'tsuffer from Full Set Syndrome.)

Oh my! Bjeans you should know the answer to Jana's inquiring question. BTW Jana, you still holding? I had 24 in my cart, removed, saved money. Yeah, I was so very good! A couple hours later somehow the 48 set accidentally ended up in my cart??? I quickly deleted, saved again! I watched Jennifer McGuire's video, the link Bjeans suggested. I've seen Jennifer's video before, and have played cart roulette before. I got to thinking, Bjeans loves her Zigs a lot! Suddenly I'm up to the 80 set. Bjeans knew I'd opt for the 80, because we both are afflicted with the dreaded "full set syndrome"! Thanks Bjeans, you knew I'd cave!

Since I started using Inktense watercolors, acrylic and india inks; and gelatos for coloring and painting I've backed off markers for a while. However, my friends who have Zig markers like them.

Okay, let's look at this logically. -24 and -48 = -72, right? IOW, negative 72. You then bought 80, which means you really only bought 8.

More to the point, I'm the encourager {cough enabler} but have so few compared to how many you will get! I'm feeling a sudden call from Carpe Diem's site...

BTW, I use Distress markers right along with them...

Jeanstamping, yeah, me too! I see it on clearance, it's either half price or better! I can get two for what I paid for one, and I have a stamp set that goes with it to justify it (Wrapped in Warmth and the Warmth & Cheer dsp). Where does it end? I have so much designer series paper I could paper the walls of the White House, but every catalog keeps coming out with more. Then its the cardstock to go with it, example Mossy Meadow and Lost Lagoon to go with the Botanicals and Going Global paper earlier this year! But I'm getting SUCH a good deal! I could stop buying and make cards for 5 years and probably not even make a dent! Where does it end!LOL!

Like everyone else it seems, I love all the supplies that go with this craft (and other crafts too!), but what I seem to buy most and use least is DSP. Everytime I go shopping, my girlfriend and I swear we are not going to buy anymore, but then of course we see something so beautiful we can't resist. At least I have her to share with, so I only really have to buy half of what I see! If anyone has ideas of how to use the mountain of paper I'm accumulating, I'd love to hear it. Thank goodness I'm not tempted to buy paper online, I need to see it and feel it.

What I am coveting online is the set of 72 Derwent Inktense blocks. I bought the smallest set on clearance at Michaels and absolutely love them.

I love you ladies. I look at the stash of my stamps, dies and embossing folders and think WHY? Then I HAVE to purchase more because I love this die, ef, stamp, etc. It's a vicious circle and I wouldn't feel so bad if I used half of them, but since I still work I don't get to sit down and craft like I want to. Hopefully when I retire (18 months!!!!!) I'll get to use my supplies.

Ha! Don't count on it!!! I retired 4 months ago. I'm still trying to reorganize so I CAN craft more- but it seems like things keep coming up- like DH expecting me to get the house in shape since I'm retired. Go figure.

Yup. I've been retired now for 2 1/2 years. I do craft more than I used to, but I still have plenty of unused stuff. Of course, I had spine surgery. Thought I could craft during recovery, but no. Then I started working part time. Still need to pull everything out of the craft room to reorganize, but I need my husband to go on vacation without me if that's going to happen. So.......

I'm stocking up on materials, mediums, and tools while I'm working since they last for years if properly stored. Since recently moving I have found products, papers, mediums, stamps and more that I purchased well over 10 yrs ago that I am using in my projects today.

I agree with the prior posts.... don't count on it!!!! You also find if you get caught up in something, you always have "tomorrow" to work on it, so it's easy to postpone things.

And then, there's always "where did I put that?" when you have so much stuff, and you can't remember where you organized things and put it!!! I probably can NOT buy anything else, and not run out of supplies before I die!! - if I can resist buying that one item I have to have!!!!

Have you tried designing your own backgrounds? There's so many mediums and materials. I prefer to make my own backgrounds. I luv stencils, gelatos, embossing folders, alcohol inks, watercolors, and...
I buy cardstock: black, white, a few seasonal colors for bases, watercolor paper, glitter...
I like having the scraps to embellish...

Palette icon I'm addicted to Youtube

After finding all this product since my recent move, I've been looking up tutorials on how to use them. There are so many talented people out there... I admit there are times when I watch videos for hours on end or all day Saturday, pulling out the product and playing with it... I get excited and happy, THAT'S WHY I BOUGHT IT MOMENTS!

I have scrapbooked for 20 years too. I have antique paper from the 90's LOL.
It is so hard to sort paper into colors and patterns.

Yes! I don't have that much 12x12 since I don't SB, but there have been so many pieces where I liked both sides equally. I can't imagine going through sorting for years and years! My hat's off to you!

And then, there's always "where did I put that?" when you have so much stuff, and you can't remember where you organized things and put it!!! I probably can NOT buy anything else, and not run out of supplies before I die!! - if I can resist buying that one item I have to have!!!![/QUOTE]

So funny that you say not run out before you die.
One of my previous addictions was counted cross stitch. I used to say "i have enough projects to last me until I'm 80." I was probably 40 at the time.

Now they're all stored in one of those big plastic bins, and I have enough papercrafting supplies to last me until I'm 180, but I keep on buying!

Funny, I don't scrapbook either, but that doesn't mean I don't buy LOTS of 12 X 12 paper! I have two commercial racks full of it- one single wide and one double wide. Between paper & cardstock, at least six of us (probably more) could make cards until we die, just using my supplies. While I don't deliberately go to the craft store for the paper sales, if it's on sale when I'm there, I buy more.

Hello, my name is Pat, and I have a paper addiction!

LOL!

I have this wheeled cart comfortably filled: https://www.amazon.com/Advantus-Heav...+%28FS-2BHD%29

Plus seven (eight?) of my favorite 12x12 paper pads (DCWV Linen Closet) and that's it for 12x12. I also have a large Frig Binz of 6x6 pads that I have to move, because I never think about them.

I don't use that much DSP at the moment, or when I do it's small pieces - like to decorate boxes. Though when I find one I like I've been known to search for multiples, even a 25-piece pack of the same paper a few times. And have I used it much? No.

Tuesday Morning is one of my downfalls- who can say NO to a package of 25 sheets of paper for $1.99 or $2.99?

I've seen Jennifer's video before, and have played cart roulette before. I got to thinking, Bjeans loves her Zigs a lot! Suddenly I'm up to the 80 set. Bjeans knew I'd opt for the 80, because we both are afflicted with the dreaded "full set syndrome"! Thanks Bjeans, you knew I'd cave!
Ok!! Still holding, but truthfully I am torn between this 80 set and the polychromos 120 set, which by the way went on sale on Amazon for 160.00 and I still held out! Decisions, decisions!!??!!

By the way, did your 80 set come in yet! I have several watercolor medium markers as well as peerless and gansai tambi but I am still fascinated with the new guys on the block! The Zig pigment markers are great so the clean brush markers must be fabulous also!! Right!!

Thanks bjeans thanks for the support! I like the way your calculations work!!😉

I'm kind of a 48 or 60's kind of girl. Beyond that there's overlap, taking up real estate and the overwhelm factor. If I started over with Zigs I'd probably get 48 or 60 and fill in if really needed from carpediemmarkers.com ($1.89).

I have Peerless, Gansai Tambi, and a couple others too, including $5.99 Art Loft (Michaels) watercolors that I love (weird), but tend to use the Zigs differently. But I'm not an artist like Annecards, plus am not into the coloring trend of fully coloring stamped images. So YMMV.

(In an on-line sketching/watercoloring class, the instructor suggested we get the Art Loft 36 color set while waiting for class supplies to arrive. I have such an easy time mixing any color in what seems like seconds, and just like them, even buying three more sets in case they stop making them.)
