Golfing (Hence the screen name)... I also like to read, sew and play video games! I dabble at a ton of other crafts but wouldn't call them hobbies.

Beside stamping, I scrapbook & make stained glass pieces. It's sometimes hard to find time for all my hobbies (I also work full-time & am an SU demo)!! We live at a lake so also love fishing & quading.

You mean there are other hobbies besides papercrafts??
I am a graphic designer by day and other than stamping/cardmaking I enjoy remodeling my house (although this gets expensive) and I just received an embroidery machine for Christmas so my new hobby is learning to use that. My husband just got a lathe and is learning to turn wooden pens. Secretly I long to use his lathe but don't tell him!

Scrapbooking takes up most of my free time, but I also love to cook and have recently taken up golf. DH and I are avid movie watchers (at home).

I'm hoping the next hobby I start up is a bit cheaper

I dabble in beads and jewelry making infrequently. I have almost as many beads as I do stamping/scrapbooking items. Right now, with all the new SU and other things that are being shown here, I can't seem to get into anything but stamping. I need to be making jewelry as I do have a display at a local craft store. Not much motivation, though, when I don't make much at it and the owner is slow to cut a check on my sales.

This is interesting to read! Colleen, you used to curl! Wow. I didn't think anyone outside Canada and Scandanavia curled!

I garden (addicted, but slowly getting more of a grip); read a lot and I am in the process of buying a moutain bike to start biking in the spring.

I love to stamp, but it is now getting relegated as another hobby, not the prime one,and because of that, I don't stamp a lot. When I do, I love it. But gardening takes up a lot of my time, especially in the spring. I try to maintain a cottage type garden....very difficult in the Prairies. You should see my water bill. Last year, my rose bed looked gorgeous! I hope they all make it through the winter!

It's fun to see so many of us with similar hobbies besides stamping!

For me, besides stamping/cardmaking/scrapbooking, I love to knit, quilt, cross-stitch (although it's been quite a while), needle-punch, read and garden. Shopping I don't count as a hobby . . . I'm a pro LOL!

I use to paint, until I started shaking to much!

Now, I knit, crochet, counted cross stitch when I can and then in the good months, Garden! Love fresh flowers!

I am trying to do some scrapbooking too! So much to learn!

Stamping, loom knitting, jewelry making, one stroke painting, polymer clay (obsession with bead making), reading, cooking, movies, playing with my hubby, veggie gardening.... yep, that pretty much takes up my time!

What a great thread!

I like to draw, watercolour, play the piano, and the accordion. I really really wish I knew how to sew like so many here, but am leery of the needles and pins *shudder*.

I love to scrapbook, read, take photos, work on home improvements projects with my hubby, going to thrift shops, yard sales, and antique shops. I'm learning to do calligraphy and watercolor. I just started swimming again several times a week. I also volunteer at dd's school and at our church.

Fun question!

I scrapbook and enjoy cross-stitch. I love to cook when the mood stikes and want to learn to sew. But mostly, a good nap is higher on my list than my hobbies!

Wink Other hobbies

There is no other love in my life--well okay there is PHOTOGRAPHY--I am serious about it and use it and stamping together to create cards at times. I have in the past been avid at leathercrafting but am being forced to give it up due to hand problems. I can sew and have made decorated sweatshirts for sale but gave that up several years ago as too much time. Stamping, scrapbooking, photography ---reading--if it is a spy or terrorist story, I'm on it. Cook for fun, penpals, tea bag folding, nature photography---Who knows what I will try next?

My grandmother taught me counted cross-stitch when I was 12. 26 years later, I am still cross-stitching! Oh my gosh, did I just give away my age? Oh well.

Other hobbies I enjoy are scrapbooking, bowling, computers and video gaming. (That Nintendo Wii is awesome!)

I used to oilpaint, but I haven't had time for that in a while. I also used to garden when I had a house. Now I'm in grad school pursuing my true love, which is reading/writing, so I have very little time for even stamping, but it's my main hobby right now. One day I hope to have a nice house again, with a garden and a studio for painting/cardmaking!

"Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure," usually toys or trinkets of little value. Today, well over 480,000 geocaches are registered on various websites devoted to the sport. Geocaches are currently placed in over 100 countries around the world and on all seven continents, including Antarctica."

I knew if I tried to explain it would never make sense. I copy-n-pasted from wikipedia.com

OOps, I spelled the word wrong "Geocache"...anyway

When I was growing up I sewed all my own clothes from Junior High (yes, that's what it was called back then) through my early adult years. Haven't made anything in years. Then I took up cross stitch, did that for years, haven't done that in awhile (anyone need any floss?). Too time consuming. I've always been an avid reader, murder mysteries are my favorite in the "off" months. My passion is teaching adult Bible study. Currently am teaching Revelation and reading 4 commentaries at one time. I've been teaching for 5 years now and absolutely love it.

Stamping, making cards and bookmarks is the current hobby, it's really more like therapy. It really relaxes me. Have been stamping for 10+ years.

I also enjoy the outdoors, we (BF and I) live beside each other and we are feeding a herd of about 8 deer, it's been fun watching them. Would love to start camping again, did that every summer growing up until I was 14. Also I hope we start trout fishing/camping in the spring.

I also like to shoot hand guns. Didn't know I was such an accurate shot, blew the BF away the first time we went target shooting. He's really a better shot than I am, but it is fun, LOUD though.

I enjoy working in the yard and DIY projects w/the BF, it's more fun when someone is sweating along side of ya'.

Great post!

This made me LOL when I read that you "blew the BF away" when you went target shooting. Hope the "he's" in the next sentence means "he is a better shot" not "he was a better shot"!!

A couple of my best friends love to shoot too. When I mentioned that I would have reservations about trying target shooting, one of them told me to "just think of it as a long range paper punch!"

Being summer here in NZ I'm into my vege garden big time right now, but also enjoy birdwatching (volunteer at a nearby coastal reserve monitoring endangered shore birds), jewellery, polymer clay, beading, sewing, golf (very bad at it but enjoy the walking and being outdoors).

Smile Can you say diverse! Cars....showing and racing, Victorian antiques, and reading

My other hobbies including showing my car (1969 Ford Torino, 4 speed, 390 big block, hence my screen name) a car that my daddy bought new, that I drove in HS and that I restored (striped down to nothing, no chrome, no glass, no front fenders, you get the idea) sandblasted the undercoating off from front fenders (LOVE to sandblast things!!) professional did the paint work and what little body work it needed, I learned to deciper part numbers, made my own parts wanted lists and bought NOS (new old stock) parts from all across the USA, and put the car back together. Have won several trophies. My DH enjoys drag racing as his hobby and I am #1 pit crew. He has a 1969 Camaro and a 23T altered (like a short dragster). We have been looking for a car for me to race, but he is all Chevy and I am all Ford, and refuse to race a Chevy. One day we will find the right car for me. I also show my 2005 Mustang GT which I have made modifications too, it has never been driven in rain. It's a 5 speed, and I love it! 'Nuthin better than shifting gears and burning a little rubber every now and then!
I also enjoy reading, and looking for antiques, I love everything Victorian. Sorry, probably more than you want to know about the cars, but I am really passionate about them!

Hmmmm. Well, if you see my SCS name.....you can tell that I like cars as well as stamps (but not quite as well). We belong to two car clubs and are active in both showing the cars at cruise-ins. I also do the newsletter for one of the clubs (but wish I had that time for stamping instead.) We also love rhododendrons and belong to the Rhododendron Society. The gardening took a back seat to the cars though (ha, ha....pun! ) I play piano for church. I do other craft as well (but they have taken a pause while I stamp). I like to quilt but the oversized king watercolor log cabin quilt I did three years ago is still waiting to be finished on the border. I love to cross stitch but that hobby is suffering since the eyes now need reading glasses. Augh!! Of course, there is all the fun stuff on the computer too. Love to play pinochle with friends. Love to read but only get a couple books a year read now. Love to sing and am in church choir.

What I don't care to do......cook! I'd rather clean the bathroom than cook.

I love that so many of you have multiple hobbies. My husband thinks it's crazy that I have so many.

I scrapbook, sew, make mosaics, paint, flower arranging, interior decorating, bake, cake/cookie decorating, woodwork. I also know how to knit, crochet, and cross-stitch. I'll try just about anything once and most the time it sticks.

Stamping is my biggest hobby but I also love to cook, bake, garden (what I can on my apartment balcony!) and go camping and hiking. But I am a full time student working almost full time hours so I spend most of my time trying not to explode!!
