Default What is your favorite method of attaching glitter?

I haven't been a big glitter person but have started to love it...

I only have some iridecent (sorry about the spelling) glitter glue from Joanne's and have enjoyed it..

BUT...
I was helping my 2.5yo with a little "accident free" craft present that had glitter in it and loved the look of the plain silver glitter and was thinking of the best way to use that in my own crafting and thought I would ask here what your favorite way to attach glitter

Help me out...I am ready to make a few purchases and want to get what I need at the same time! Thanks in advance!!

Zig two way glue pen beats it all for simple and effective. You can purchase it at Micheals.!! But, there are other methods if you wanted a heavier cover of glitter -but more complicated and difficult IMO - you can press a heart or some other shape into a versamark pad, and they apply heavy thicker glitter and then heat emboss to stick the glitter to cut out cardsotck or chipboard - and you can also use Art Insituites Glue which is meant for glitter - but that is more difficult. Hope that helps a little.

I've used a glue pen, a glitter pen, and double sided tape, but my new favorite is a glue pad from Tsuinko (? spelling.) I used one for the first time this last fall at Archiver's and fell in love with it. I bought one and used it for one of my Christmas card designs I did. If you're glittering a large area or a complete cut-out, you just press it into the glue pad, apply the glitter and let it dry. A must have for glitter queens.

It really depends on the project but for most cases a Zig glue pen for detail glittering or the Tsuniko glue pad for larger glittering areas.

You said favorite--and right now my favorite is a Write-N-Rub foiling pen made by Tonertex. Puts down a nice fine line from a ballpoint pen, and the glue dries tacky. One it dries, you can dip your finger in the glitter, and just rub it on the glue area and it sticks beautifully! Lots less mess! You can also use foils, or gold leaf.

I really like the quickie glue pen for adding little accents, outlining, etc.

I just got the Tsukineko Glue Pad and LOVE it - its like an ink pad - you stamp your image, apply the glitter, shake off and leave it to dry - it is awesome

I like the two way glue pen by SU, but don't forget about Stickles! Glue and glitter combined...no mess at all...available in tons of yummy colours!

I used to love using glitter, but it ended up everywhere!!! On the floor, on my skin, on my kids heads! I have therefore switched my allegience to Stickles...sparkly and virtually mess free!

I love heat n stick powder! I keep some ready in a little plastic container along with a small spoon. I do the same with glitter colors that I use frequently, like silver and gold. Much less mess that way. I've tried the glue pad and just don't like it very much - I might have a bad pad?

For small detailed areas I use stickles. Best thing ever!

Question about the glue pad -
How long does it take to dry? Also, do you need to heat it to make the glitter really stay put? Just wondering. I have a glue pad and haven't used it yet but there are some Easter stamps that are just crying out for glitter here.
