Default What would you do?

Say an online stamp store was having a sale with merchandise being discounted 70% off. However the original price on their site was marked up 3 times what the actual item cost (from manufacturers website and not wholesale). Thus making it look as if you were getting a great bargain with their so called generous percentage off. When in fact, you weren't saving much because of the exaggerated price.
Would you.....
a Email them and bring it to their attention
b Post the name of company on forums to let others know
c Email original manufacturer and let them know
d Do nothing
e Other

I would not buy anything from them. Perhaps an e-mail would be appropriate but I think putting their name on an open forum first would not be the right thing to do.

I would not order from them. The retailer obviously knows what they are doing. They don't need an email from you. I also wouldn't post anything in the forum. Folks around here are pretty smart. I'm sure they have done their research and know how much things cost. I'd avoid that site from now on.

Joan, you are TOO FUNNY! However, I do agree with everyone else, I would NOT buy from there for sure. And I believe that posting about them here might be against the TOS ... not sure if I'm correct about that ... but usually it somehow starts a big fight ... lol ...

Just don't purchase from them. Easy peasy.

More than likely I would choose not to shop with them; I research prices before I buy.

That would only put me in a precarious legal position (slander), which is more than likely against most message boards' terms of service for users, anyway.

If I had factual evidence of illegal behavior due to a personal experience, I'd contact the BBB, or proper legal authorities, and let them take it from there.

See above

Then, I'd go PM Joan B.

...as always it's buyer beware - anytime I've seen something like this on-line or in a store I simply take my moola elsewhere! They know what they are doing & expect some to not know any better.
