Smile What size envelpe for a shutter card

Can someone tell me how much a shutter card would weigh and size of envelope?
Also can you make the shutter card smaller? Has anyone done this. I would like to make one for Christmas but want to keep the postage at one ounce.

Are you talking about the tri-fold shutter? The dimensions given in the tutorial linked on the TLC challenge make a card that will fit in a regular A2 envelope. Weight would depend on how much you embellished it.
This one - LSC225 Psalm 96:1 open by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers - has homemade dp on each panel, two chipboard branches and the chipboard bird, and weighs 0.8 of an ounce on my electronic scales.

Thank you for the help and I love your shutter card. This will be my first and need to make about 50 for Christmas cards. Hope I won't get burned out making so many. Postage is expensive and would hate to go over so I will watch the embelishments.

Fifty!!! I suppose if you do them as piece work, scoring and cutting first, and then adding the patterned panels, it won't be so bad. But it's a pretty labour-intensive card to make so many. But they do have great impact, worth a bit of trouble.
