Default What to put on the back of a card?

I know that there are "stamped by" stamps for the back of cards. I know that you would put your name but, I was thinking that if you put your telephone # also then Maybe if someone say it and like it they would call to order, host show, etc... Do you have to have the "stamped by' stamp on the card or just name and #? I have rarely put anything on the back and thought that I should start but wanted some input.

I've gotten a couple stamps for the back of my cards from www.paperangel.com. Since it's personalized shipping can be a little slow, but I've loved everything I've gotten from them!

I'm a little nervous about putting personal information on a card. But, I would put an email address or a blog if you have one. A blog would be perfect so that people could check out your other work as well. At least with an email address if a person turns out to be kooky you could block them.

I don't sell my cards, they only go to friends and family. I don't have a personalized stamp, so I write on the back across the bottom "made for you with love by merry" all in lower-case. I took a look at paperangel -- do you know if they make stamps with all the words personalized? I'd love to have what I write become a stamp.

Or is there another company that will do a 100 percent personalized stamp?

If it's a card for someone I know, I just sign my name in black pen. If it's a card that I'm sending in a swap, having on display in a store, I put a small sticker on the back with my name and email address.

I'd prefer someone to contact me via email than phone... makes me feel less "out there" I guess.

I usually just select a stamp from my collection that is compatible with the theme of the card, stamp it on the back, and then sign around it.

I don't sell the cards I create. I do put my own logo on the back, though. It's just a single paw print (purchased stamp). I will make cards for someone if they ask my, but at no charge. I give them a choice of colors and they pick the theme, I use my creative freedom for the rest.

I do stamp something small on either the inside bottom left or top middle of the card to tie in with the graphic on the front, or if it's a die cut, I will use that instead.

I do the same with the envelope. Either stamp or die cut that ties in with the card cover on the bottom left of envelope front or on the flap on the back.

Patti

Personally, I wouldn't put a phone # or e-mail on the back. To me that would make it too business like. If I were a business, that would be different.

The back of my cards say "Designed and Handmade especially for you by Elyssa Blair Tanenbaum". I got it at Office Max a while ago.

I don't stamp the back of mine but I like messing around on the computer and normally do some sort of computer generated mark on the back

I think I wouldn't necessarily put a telephone number on - but probably my blog and "an" email account - it doesn't have to be your current personal one.

I have a small home-based business, creating acrylic photo sculptures, so I had a stamp made that has my business name e-mail address (which contains the name of my business) and my phone number. I stamp the backs of all my cards with this stamp. I figure if someone sees one of my cards and likes it and would like to contact me, my information is readily available to them. (I've gotten orders for several invitations this way.)
