Default What to Put in an Altered Altoid Tin??

Hi everyone... I am wanting to make altered Altoid tins at my next Girls Club event, but I need some ideas for things they can put INSIDE the tin! I thought we could make the tins into little purses with ribbon handles like I've seen, but I wanted to give them some ideas of ways they could use them.

Got any ideas?? I'd love to hear them!

Thanks!

Little treats - pink M & M's maybe or maybe a small stamping-related surprise!

Tiny bottles of makeup, nail polishes, chapstick or lipgloss, pretty little soaps, bath gels in cute shapes, or if she's a crafter you can pick almost any fun craft items to make a specific project!

Acrylic Dollar stamps, postage stamps, mini pens, jewelry or charms, those flat Ghiradelli squares of chocolate, Tea bags individually wrapped, key rings, there are so many options!

Little packs of Hershey's kissables fit into the tins nicely.

I received an "office in a box" in one...tiny roll of tape in a dispenser, paperclips, small pair of scissors, mini marker, and mini pen, all color coordinated...very cute.

They could make an accordion fold "album" which they could add photos to once they get home (or, if you plan in advance, tell them to bring 3-5 small photos to use for the project).

Like this sample (this is not my work; I saved this in my Favorites as an idea I'd like to try sometime).

I had my Stamp Campers make the little magnets with the clear glass drops and a super strong magnet. You stamp your image, cut with a small circle punch, adhere the glass with crystal effects then add a magnet to the bottom with CE.
kinda like this one by sarbear:
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...8392?si=magnet

I did it around Valentine's Day so we used the retired set that looked like candy hearts. You could use little pieces or any small stamps.

lbirus's response brings up a question... I have tried the magnets before, but the CE makes the ink smear and/or run a lot of times. Anyone else run into this problem? How do you resolve it? I've tried other clear glues but haven't found one that doesn't run. I suppose I could use Craft ink and emboss the images first... haven't tried that yet. Another solution I've heard is to not stamp at all, but just use patterned paper.

In any case, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting your ideas! You have all certainly sparked my creativity and I created two Altoid tins already that I will be posting to my blog in the next couple of days (one will go up today, Jan. 3rd). Be sure to check them out as I'm afraid I'll forget to come back and link them here! )

I have another one that I'm even MORE excited about! I'll post that in the next day or so... and then I have ideas for a few more that I'll be working on.

Thanks for all your help! You all are the BEST!

I'm a huge fan of making the magnets...I have found that my local Ben Franklin has the large clear marbles...a while ago I did try to do stamped images but also had the problem of the ink smearing so now I just do DP

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...00&ppuser=9420

I originally used CE to adhere the DP but have gone to using my Xyron instead. I bet you could do stamped images and use the permanent adhesive Xyron....

I found that when I used just one solid color ink I didn't have any running, or smearing, but when I tried to stamp an outline and color it in with markers it didn't work so good. I've done lots with the Little Pieces set stamped in different colors of classic SU! ink and didn't have a problem.
