Yep.... I have to say that looks familiar. LOL Just add in a cat who wants to lay on top of everything and a puppy who wants to be in your lap and you've got my stamping desk/room. (Although now the puppy will sleep on the dog bed I've got under the desk.)

Pretty much.

Except I have 3 six foot tables that all look like that.

Oh puh-lease! That's not a mess - you didn't even cover the floor. Seriously, I made 3 Halloween cards and had the entire table and most of the floor around me completely covered. I was very proud of myself, though, 'cause I did remember to have a scrap bucket handy <g> I truly believe that in order to "create" I must have everything around me so I can see it!

Yay! I'm not alone in my slobness! Normally (well in the rest of my life, I'm extremely organized and very clean...my kids think it's a sickness), but last night I had to make a quick sympathy card and 3 gift tags...it looked like a bomb had gone off in there. I was digging around on the table to find an open space to stamp a tiny little tag and I ended up piling more stuff on more stuff just to get an open 2 square inches. Pathetic huh?

Dude, what's the problem? It looks like you haven't even started yet...
I have a 6y/o dd who insists on scrappin/stampin with me. Her favs are Stickles and they never dry with the quantity she squeezes out. It ends up everywhere! Add that to the fact that she insists on working on my right side and she's a lefty and it's a mess!!

Default that ain't nothin!

you still have room left to work. I am usually left with a 4 x 5 square left of uncovered space to finish my card on. really it's ridiculous. Does every roll of ribbon need to come out for ONE card? every scrap of every color? I can't tell you how many times I lose my scissors in one night of stamping! that's why I now have two pairs of snips and two pairs of rubber scissors..

so I think your space is quite nice.. really!!

Uh, NO!!! Your paper trimmer is on a flat surface- there is no clean flat surface in my room. I usually have my paper trimmer either on my lap or on top of the waste can.
(My area is so bad ATM that I have moved to the dining room table and kitchen counter!! OUCH!!!) But, my altered card tin is looking good- and filled with some of my best work to date.LOL

yeperdoodlle

sometimes I have to put my cuttle bug on the floor to use it

that's what my stamp table looks like most of the time. sometimes when I go to clean it I end up making a card before I realize it

Um no, I just got done wrapping candy and it looks a lot worse. I didn't have a surface for my cutter, well it didn't like where it was and slid to the floor. Couldn't figure out which was the right white paper because I had 3 different brands on the table. UGH!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one...my craft table has all the essentials on it...which leaves me with an area about the size of a sheet of paper to make my card on! And the floor..well I have to have all possible paper and embellishment combos all laid out so I can decide what to put on my card....Luckily I can just leave it all out and close the door if company is coming over....And even in all this mess I know where everything is...ok not all the time...

That's not bad! Mine is always 8 inches deep with accumulated "stuff" I thought I needed for the project at hand. It usually turns out I needed ink, paper and some ribbon. Go figure.

I can see wood table. That's not bad - at ALL. PLUS, you have room on your table for your scrub. You're also missing the 2 foot tall stack of stamp sets that I seem to have on my table. The floor's really clean too. Come to think of it, this is NEAT.

I agree with peeps321 - I start with a square the size of a 8.5x11 sheet of cardstock and things get rearranged so that I can work. Life gets interesting if I have to measure and cut something larger than 4 1/4" wide.

To answer your question, NO. Yours looks pretty neat - the ink pads are all in their neat little stack. I have 2 carts beside the table and right now there is a stack of all the cs I took out to find some of the right color. I am supposed to be organizing that again now, as I have finally finished the Christmas cards (I think!).

I painted it with the Krylon Fusion paint that's supposed to bond to plastic. No idea how they market it for refurbishing kids outdoor toys, when it's already scratched off my gently used indoor ATG. I should've done the alcohol inks, but they'd have to be too dark for my tastes. I'm a sucker for lilac. Oh well, I can always re-paint the scratched off areas.

Thanks everyone for letting me know I'm not alone. I'll admit that this is my dining room table--my craft room is too junky to work in! It doesn't help that I sew, embroider, and scrapbook too.

Oh, and about the beverages necessary for great stamping. You can't see it, but there's a pint glass of Coke Zero behind the ink pad tower
