I bought my brayer for $6.00 at JoAnns ......... they had it there for $11.00, but I used my 50% off coupon and it was nearly half price. A great deal, esp for something not used all the time

I'm surprised by how many say they regret their Cricut - I absolutely love mine! It was a gift from my husband for my birthday and I had wanted one forever. I only have one extra cartridge and wish I had more (when the $ is right!) I use it often. I like the cuttlebug but will hold off because for now, me and the cricut are doing well, lol!

I don't regret much in the way of things I've purchased..I have gotten a few "gifts" from people that seem somewhat useless..decorative edge scizors..MM tag maker (I may still love this gift..If I ever get it out!) and some carry cases that were great...um when I had so few things they would fit in them....I regret not getting the larger crafting shed to hold my supplies.

for those with to much Decorative paper..have you tried those fantastic Bow's ? 1/2 sheet makes 1 bow..perfect time to pre-cut and have set's ready to go for birthdays, holidays etc..they are full/beautiful and easy to make..just a thought! http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...&ppuser=126422
here's one of mine:

also the double pocket bags..take one full sheet and are easy for a stamp camp..my ladies loved them..here is the link to the tutorial

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...le_pocket_bag/
diagonal double pocket cards use one sheet as well! here is the tutorial
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...e_pocket_card/

I have spent the last 3 stamp camps using up my excess dp..it was the perfect way to create a 3D item and use up supplies that were retiring

Great thread! I have to agree with the fastenator. I hated the coluzze stuff and actually threw it in the trash! I have tons of stickers, but my kids use them. I have a few SU sets that I haven't used much, but I will or I put them on buy, sell, trade. I stopped buying the $1 stamps, I never use them! I have lots of paper and am getting better about using it! A few of my local stores have yard sales so I can sell stuff there.

I use my big kick all the time and love it. I have stuff that I bought for my dh to use at Cub Scouts, they love the sizzix and crimper! There are a few pay it forward threads around to pass stuff on and a few recycling rak threads too!

I just had to have the pearl ex powders, have never even tried them. I just had to have the MM tag maker and several shapes, have never even tried it. I also tend to hoard when I know I can't buy it anymore but then don't want my stash to dwindle so I never use it. I have 8 pkgs of cool caribbean paper still sealed. I have the BIA and haven't bound a thing. Eyelets, tons of eyelets.

I have now acquired so much stuff I have begun inviting people over to use up supplies. My DD daisy scout troop all got scrapbook supplies and friends come to scrapbook.

If there are things that you no longer want, but don't want to take the time to sell the things, you could always look into your local hospital to see if they will take the items as a donation for the children who are patients. One of the hospitals by me has little craft kits that they put together for the children and will take any kinds of papers, stickers, etc. Probably the stuff you are trying to unload. Or you could look into donating to a boys and girls club. Kids love to paper craft!!

I have had several regrets over the years. Here is a list of my biggest regrets:

Lightbox (I tried two)
Brass stencils
Oodles of stickers
Manual spring loaded eyelet setter
Decorative Scissors (all except postage & deckle that I still use)
Carry cases-every size and style when I really only need one!
Embossing Powders in every color under the sun. They just sit
My red Sizzix machine with many frames and alphabets
Studio G stamp sets. I've used one set.
Stamps that I kinda liked just because they were on sale

I've sold most of these things, but I hate that I wasted my stamping money on them.

OMGosh! I can't believe people are saying Pearl Ex! I love the stuff and have every colour.

Probably I regret Carl Punches... they're just nowhere near as nice to use as the SU! ones. And 'picture' type punches... I find that regular shapes like squares and circles are the best. Also the Shapeboss... oh man, I tried and tried and although it works well, the results never really looked that elegant.

I never use my Xyron that I *had* to have! I also really hate the decorative scissors, I can't cut a thing straight with them!

Well I sell stuff a lot so I don't have much of this but:
Almost every SU set I ever bought. *although the resale wasn't bad on any so it's all good*
Cheap cardstock
Those "slabs" of paper
Pretty much anything cheap that is "cheap" not "inexpensive" I don't mind inexpensive.
I don't know what else. like I said I just sell whatever I don't use so I have almost all stuff I DO use.

I did buy too much cardstock from Marcos papers at a recent show. It's nice, I just got all piggy about it and bought like $50 of neutral cardstocks. That's a little excessive.

The Stampin' Around wheels, without a doubt. When I first started a friend showed them to me, and I thought it was THE coolest thing EVER. So then I went to eBay and .... let's just say that I now have more than a couple and have only used one. Once.

I also have just tons of different embossing powders that I still adore, but have barely used. But they still look pretty in the little jars, so I guess it wasn't a complete waste.

Funny...one woman's regret is another woman's purchase.

I just saw an AIG gun used for the first time. I was wondering where you purchase them. If you can help, please PM me.

I regret some of my first purchased stamps. I would find them at such a fantastic price...too bad they're too ugly to use.

Oh..that big staple thing. If anyone has some nice cards to show me where it was used...please direct me in a PM

I have quite a few things I'm saving for "good cards". Don't know who I'm sending those cards too..but I don't want to waste my "special" embellishments on someone that would throw the card away......so I keep them!!!

Here is a notebook i made with the fastenator. I have made way more since this. Ill have to take some more pics later. Really though, you should try it more often. It is a wonderful little accent tool. Plus they are coming out with more staples, even disney staples.

Now if you want to part with some of that Cool Carribean paper, PM me! I love that color!

Let's see.... regrets? Well, that Trimtastic set, for sure! Used it once. I have three storage baskets of stamps and supplies that I'd love to sell. Now that I have a digital camera, maybe I'll post them on the B/S/T forum. My tastes have changed over the many, many years I've been playing with rubber! I have a few packs of fibers that I just put in the gotta go basket. I did buy all of those colored staples, convinced by the scrapbooking magazine that I subscribed to at the time that it was areally cool embellishment. No huge regrets, but I should have been more discriminating when buying all of those UM stamps at conventions.

My regrets:
The Tearing Edge, most of the DP I have and will probably never use, eyelets, a few of my stamp sets, and my light table.

Great thread!

I regret the fascinator as well, never used it and have two sizes, all my creative memories stuff like the cutting systems, so bulky, too many SU stamps as well. I also bought too many alterable tins of every shape and size. Tons of the clear hinged tins. I am ashamed.

[QUOTE=nwlovestostamp;10657250]When I started stamping I was so mesmerized by EVERYTHING! I think I was on Ebay several times a day making purchases, and then there was the Stampin Up catalog...don't get me started! The cricut... I love it really but its just getting used less and less. I thought it would be awesome for letters but it ended up being easier to just stamp the letters (and cheaper since I use less paper). I haven't decided to sell it yet, I know many scrapbookers in my area that would just love it but I am torn on whether to sell it yet. I only had it since if February/March. I just don't know what to do. IF I sell it I would reinvest in more supplies that I would really use a lot.

The only thing I can think of offhand is the SU! wheel guide. I used it once, then it just lay around. Since then I've unmounted all my wheels, so I don't need it at all!
Anyone interested in that, jumbo and regular wheel handles, and a Swirly wheel? They're all for sale! LOL!

Great thread, lets see. First off I couldn't live without my perfect layers. I use them everytime I stamp! Stamp a majig, once I figured it out and got comfortable with it I use it all the time. I even hoard heavy plastic and cut it so that I can stamp with staz on on it. I keep these in my SU boxes already to go, especially for sentiment sets. Watercolor crayons, love them, I have the original whole set and between that and markers, I will not get into the prism color pencils or copic craze, I know that the stuff I have matches my SU paper why spend more?
I do have stuff I regret though!

CM wavy cutter never used, a friend is a CM consultant and bought SU from me so I felt I had to buy something.
XYRON 900, DH bought it for my BD never use it.
12 x 12 black leather SU album, thought I would scrapbook, ha ha.
Pearl ex assortment, got it with my rewards but don't use it.
Chip board
Wacky tac vellum tape
All the cheap stuff I got before I realized you get what you pay for.

Spinning carolsel of scissors. Love the carolsel though, now it houses my assortment of regular sissors, exacto knifes and my beloved perfect layers.
A few sets from SU but for the most part I love my SU stamps. I have learned that I would never unmount my stuff I have bought a few acrylic sets and hate having to mount them before stamping!
I have some designer paper I regreat buying because it doesn't match my SU cardstock but that being said I know I will use it for wrapping paper and bows etc. All in all I love my stamping area and all my stuff, it makes me feel happy regardless of what I spent!

I only bought two of these, and immediately lost a stamp from one set and tore a stamp from the second. I too am Virgo - so why haven't I thrown these away??? Wood-mounted rubber for me, thank you!

I started with scrapbooking, too. Few regrets, though - sold items I didn't use/want when I signed up with SU. I had TONS of stickers (yuk) but put them in class kits when I did my first few kids workshops (their moms probably hate me). I also tried the Fiskars UFO thingy, and much prefer my Coluzzle.

I have a 3-foot stack of pattern papers from before SU, but I make these into mini scrapbooks and sell them at garage sales - so eventually they will be gone and I will have room for other ''must have'' items ~ LOL!

I have a Creative Memories rolling tote that just collects dust in the corner, I just prefer to stamp at home. I hate packing and un-packing my supplies and whenever I do go somewhere to stamp I don't get anything done unless the hostess has something already cut out ready to stamp and assemble.

My tidy tray, while only a small investment, gets in the way on my shelf. I should just throw it away.

I'm sure I have tons of stamps that I don't need, but they're part of my collection so I don't regret these purchases.

I also have tons of embellishments that I don't need either and were probably a waste of money too.

Lol - oh so many regrets!!

I regret buying anything from TLC (Top Line Creations). I spent approx $300 or so over many months on their paper (not very good quality in my opinion, but since I was buying and not using I didn't know that at the time!) Also their paper doesn't match either SU or CM (and I was a CM consultant so have a fair bit of paper from them).

I regret buying my sissix - never use it. It was a complete waste of money for me.

I regret buying my Fiskers Shape Boss and templates, although it wasn't that much money, but I still never use it and am going to garage sale it sometime soon.

I have every color of SU craft ink pads. I know they are great, and I know I can do cool things with them. When I first got them I used them all the time in my scrapbooks. Then I got tired of the dry time, so I quit. I haven't used them in probably 4 years. (Yes, there are empty spots from when SU got rid of some colors!)

At a scrapbook convention I let myself go crazy at a chalk booth. I bought like a dozen thin templates to use with chalk, and the chalk. I have since given my friend the chalks since I now have the SU chalks, and I sold the templates at a garage sale, I think.

Does anybody remember the blade runner? I think I needed the piece of glass to go under it. But I remember being so ticked it didn't work the way it was supposed to! lol!

Over the years, I have given away or sold:
tons of stickers
cheap cardstock and patterned paper
stamp sets that 'retired' and I thought as demo I'd never use them again. I really miss some of them!(sigh)

Things others regret that I never will:
My ATG gun!! LOVE that thing!!
My scor-pal. When I need it, I need it. And it's GREAT, even if only used now and then, and well worth the money.
My eyelet kit. I hardly ever use eyelets anymore, but that thing got used a TON. I DO regret my cropodile...because I don't use eyelets anymore!
Having a stash large enough that I seldom 'need' something I don't have. I have every color stamp pad, every color cardstock, adhesive, markers, stamps. If I don't have it, I don't 'need' it!

Default You may think I'm crazy, but

I regret buying a set of...

COPICS!!!!

If you want to get the colors just so, you have to invest a ton...I'm just not willing to do that. Now I have a $120 set of markers. Major remorse here!

My regrets:
SU! Wheel Guide
Studio G stamps
Pearl EX
ScorPal.....bought it three months ago and have yet to make anything with it. I find it confusing when it comes to figuring out dimensions for projects. I will get the hang of it eventually.

I am so glad to know that I am not the only ScorPal challenged person. I think it is very hard to use when you have a lot of odd dimensions to score. The only time I have enjoyed it was when I made a card and criss-cross the background.

(the one reason I don't like being a demo...you have to hang on to them)
8. Twill tape from SU
9. Pretties Kit...I have only used it a couple of times and hate the flowers
10. Glitter...I hate it!
11. The Cricut and tons of carts.

WOW...I have way to much stuff if I regret all these.
Wow girl - if you're looking unload some of you ink pads, Hodgepodge hardware or SU sets for a decent price please send me a PM.

Regret #1 - SU powder pal - piece of junk!
Regret #2 - sizzix machine - since I got a 'bug' everything else pales in comparison.
Numerous hostess sets you really had no choice on..never used 1/3 of them!
Love #1 - cuttlebug - without question the best thing I ever bought.
Love #2 - score-pal - use it all the time.
Love #3 - SU pastels - the lid is never closed!
Love #4 - brass stencils - use them in my bug and have found a new 'favourite thing'

I regret buying all this SU cardstock. I never use it. I have way too many colors!! I tend to like the bazill better. I also have way too many ink pads by su, I only tend to use black. I am a prisma pencil fan and markers. I never use half of them. and most of the ink pads are not even opened. Just collecting dust on my shelf.

I would love to know your recipe for the brass stencils...they were going under my regrets. Other regrets:
#1 Lighthouse Memories cutter and patterns...never got the hang of it.
#2 Too many background stamps
#3 Limited Edition basket stamps...made 1 once, bought several
#4 Despite all my purchases, Desiree's in Palatine still closed, now I work in Palatine and boy do I miss that store!
