Wow, and I love 12 x 12 post bound albums, embossing powders, heat gun, watercolor pencils, and eyelets! But I do regret scrapbook software, as it NEVER gets used. But I didn't actually buy it.

For me, probably the brass stencils, I love the look, but don't use them.

A lot of SU sets that I have and don't use!!

The eyelet setter (The $30 one)--again, looks great and works great, but I don't use it. Ditto for the fastenator. Love the idea, but don't seem to use it.

My cricut expression - never use it - maybe someday I will
Had to buy all the SU colors of stamp pads, markers and paper - should have just bought the colors I liked - never use most of them - I tend to use my favorites over and over.

Rub-ons! I bought some Dec. 2008 and they never made it on any cards or packages. Bought two more this past Dec. Used a few but they were such a bother!! I guess I needed lessons on how to use them first. I just grabbed up the rub-on sheet off the protective backing and clipped out the one I wanted to use; and then realized that everywhere my fingers touched on OTHER rub-ons they had stuck to my hands so there went three or four, ruined. *sigh*.
After struggling to carefully use three or four more on some cards; I realized the safest way to do it is to keep the rub-on sheet itself on the backing sheet; then cut out what you want to use.

I have two packages sitting in my supplies and I may never open them.

I also regret a few SU colors that I bought as a demo ( I HAD to have all 48!!). I never use them, paper or ink but I struggle with the idea of trying to sell or trade them and break up the "set"! Isn't that ridiculous??

Another vote for the Cricut Expression. Used it twice in the past 2 years.

I so totally agree with you! I used to have well over 100 sets (VERY well over 100!). Now I am down less than half of that and still I have many sets that I haven't used. I realize that I probably won't so it's time to get rid of another round of them.

My goal is 20 sets total. That would include a few seasonal ones that I love, a background or two and some generic sayings. I can't imagine why anyone would "NEED" more than that.

I guess it would be a difference of need a minimum amount or want lots of variety. I have a ton of stamps (over 6,000) and every now and then I'll get of rid of stamps that I just never use.

My style changes frequently. I'll get bored with something and I don't use it and then I'll see some really cool project and lo and behold, I've got something I can use.

In my family, we have several stampers and everyone prefers homemade items, I teach classes, and I belong to a stamp club. This allows me the opportunity to do a lot of papercrafting so I do get to use a lot of my stamps.

No, I don't use every stamp each year but I do use a lot of them. Also, I don't like to give the same images over and over. I'm afraid that with the amount of stamping I do, I know that I would repeat stamps for people's cards and gifts. I don't think they would notice or even care, it's just my personal preference.

So need a lot of stamps, heck no, but I want them, use them, and could always find a new one that I need.

I just donated a box of the full size Colorbox pigment ink pads to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation Schools. I bought them and rarely ever use them so they were a big waste of money. Hopefully the art teachers at the school will get some use out of them.

I dearly love my colorbox pads, but I mostly emboss with them, to have the ink dry immediately. and I'm one of those people who love to heat emboss. I know lots don't like to do that.

My only regret is the cheepy $1 stamps that I've purchased from Michels and dollar store. I had to have them because they were cheep and didn't have anythign similar. As the saying goes 'you get what you pay for'. However I've just handed them down to my kids and they love them because they are still to young to be using my good stuff.
I have tons of paper, embelishments and other accessories that I rarely use as I have been a 'collector' for many years. I don't regret any of them though because I will use them some day and if I don't have it I can't use it.
I recently made a new commitment to myself to take time to go to my craft area and make something. This is much easier now that my youngest is 3 1/2 and able to work on her own 'project'.
I can just imagin the number of projects I'll be able to crank out on my days off during the week when all three of my kids are in school.

The only thing I regret buying is MS paper. I bought 2 packs (for about $1 each) and it is way too thin to use for anything Although I LOVE her punches and glitter, her paper is really bad quality.
Other than that, I don't regret buying anything!!

Default Lots of stuff

When I first started card making I had to have everything I saw - that was years ago and I am just now getting my "greed" under control and being more selective. I do have a suggestion though: I went through all my stuff and put the things that it was quite obvious I would NEVER use in several boxes and gave them to an elementary school teacher. She was thrilled since most teachers have to buy most of their own stuff. She even kept some for herself. So if you don't want to sell or trade - think of a teacher.

BTW I am trying to get a set of Karen Foster Snap Stamps, in one of the smaller sizes (medium I guess) in the casual font. If anyone is looking to unload, please let me know.

Thanks!

I got caught up w/ the Twinkling H2Os when they were going to close the doors. Bought a bunch of them, and now realize I will probably never use them. What a waste of money.

Oh, and the In Colors too - I think I've finally convinced myself that just because they're only available for a limited time, doesn't mean I have to have every color!

Stickers is one of my regrets! I don't have very many, but when I first started it seemed like they could be nicely incorporated onto a card. WRONG! After my first few attempts I realized they just made a card look stupid and amateurish.

Brayer! No matter how hard I try I can never duplicate the technique of Michelle Zindorf.

Pearl Ex. I bought a gigantic set on sale at Joanns, and have hardly touched them. Too messy. Perfect pearls are better.

But because I'm a hoarder, I know I will never get rid of the stuff I don't use. Anyway, I think my grandson will have fun with the stickers.

The pearl ex can be used to make a glimmer spray and with a huge pack you can make wonderful combinations!

I love my H20s and many of my favorite colors are retiring/retired but I stocked up as best I could (hate small budgets).

If you still have them there was someone very recently looking to buy/trade for them on the ISO forum.

I haven't tried the Zindorf technique (at least not yet) but I use my brayer to ink up larger stamps. Also, to ink vellum (I then stamp on the other side).

Thing I regret: Those funny little embossing folders from sizzix with the brass plate, all of those fibers and the paddle punches. uggghhh. I've started using the cheap paper I got early on in this hobby to do Cricut cuts with...they layer better than heavy CS and I don't get upset if it doesn't turn out perfectly the first time! Also...I think that the blade lasts longer with thinner paper/CS.
I have plenty of embellishments that I use infrequently, but I can be kind of impulsive in card making, so I'm glad that they are there when the mojo fires up...

I'll say anything made by Fiskars, except their trimmers and scissors. I hate the shape-boss w/ stensils; I dislike their texture plates and the embossing kit; I don't like their clear stamps ...

I just have the worst luck with them.

However, I do love the old-fashioned blue amd silver basic trimmer though.

WHat else do I regret? How can I forget that Karen Foster eye setter kit?

Geezzz, I forgot about that stupid Paddle Punch from Sizzix - it is hidden somewhere.

Was that not the WORST thing that came out? I think it is.

I still love H2O's and wish I had more than I do.

Yes, I regret the paddle punch and the Mega and Giga Marvy punches-- it wasn't long after I had them all that the Nesties came out. If those punches also embossed, I'd for sure still love and use them, but now they just sit in a drawer all lonely.

There are plenty of things that I don't use anymore. I can't say I regret them because I did get my money's worth at the time, it's just now I've moved on to other things. Perfect example is the MM Eyelet setter.. you know, with the hammer and all. But there was a time that was all I had.

It's gotta be all those brass embossing templates. One use and they were done.

Fiscars scissors.

Mega and Giga punches.

Mailbox shaped tins from the dollar bin.

These are mostly craft/stamping related but I think a relatively recent post had a link for other acronym translations.

I regret buying Marvy punches in all shapes and sizes. You have to practically stand on them to get them to punch.
