Default what to do w/empty stamp boxes?

I'm sure there was a thread about this before but I can't find it now: I just got a pack of the channeled stamp boxes to transfer all my alphabets to (lOVE 'em!!!!) and I'm trying ot hink of a good use for the old big empty boxes. I've tried putting some of supplies in there but am finding the box is not deep enough for most things. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

When I transfered mine over, I put my reinkers in them and in another one I put my cartridges in another one... I am thinking of putting my decorative scissors in another one but I haven't decided yet...

how about for microbeads? for storage and or dipping pens into? I sometimes put my precut card stock for projects in one, keeps it from geting wrinkled or bent and keeps it dry and it's portable

just a couple of ideas.

I use them for to keep my demos in order for show. I pack just what I need for that demo or make & take project in one box and it keeps everything together.

I love the idea of using them for ink cartridges.

I use one for keeping my "bleaching" felt in. This way the bleach doesn't leak onto anything it shouldn't.

They are great for holding buttons, because you can sort through them better to find the size and color you need. Also, they are great for keeping embellishments that I have collected from other sources other than SU, which may not be packaged in their own resealable containers.

On the other thread, someone had suggested putting the ink spots in one. I had an old container so I did just that. I hold two sets just fine. The spots in the final row had to be put on their ends but the top still goes down just fine. Thanks to whoever made that suggestion.

Sometimes I get in a "stamp and cut" mood, but don't want to make cards. I use the containers to store my cut-outs so when I'm in a card-making mood, I don't have to waste time cutting out flowers, leaves, etc.

Default old boxes

I have ordered the alpha boxes but have not gotten them yet. I would have said keep your ink cartridges in your old boxes. But my upline showed us that the new channeled boxes are wonderful for holding wheel ink cartridges for both size wheels. Then they do not roll around in the box as much if you do not have a full box. So I may even order them again!

The other thing is that a customer of mine asked me if I had any old boxes that she could put stamps in. She had some older stamps that were individually purchased at craft stores over the years. But now that she's into Stampin' Up she likes having her stamps organized in boxes.

There are so many good ideas on here now you probably will not want to throw them away!

I use mine for cardstock scraps. I store my cardstock in literature sorters from Sam's Club, and the stamp boxes are great for storing scraps in each slot.
