Default what do i do?

a few weeks back, i asked a question on pricing cards to sell in my friends small shop, i was advised not to do it, because of the angle tree policy. her shop is kinda like a flea market, as long as she wants to rent the booth she can stay there, so she is technically not permanent.

anyway, i let her know abouth the angle tree policy, and told her it would not be a good idea to sell them there. my question now is, she wants to pay me outright for the whole lot of cards and then decide what she wants to do with them later, ok here is my question, am i wrong in selling the lot of cards outright to her. i wouldn't be putting them in a store or anything it would just be a private sale between the two of us. ? i do not know what she plans on doing with them after that. any advice? TIA

Hi Kirstin, I think you are fine in selling her your cards. But, the way I understand the angel policy, she is still prohibited from selling them in a "permanent" location. I interpret "permanent" as something that would be around longer than say a 2-day craft fair. If she is there week after week even if it's only for a 6 month period, I think this would be considered permanent.

HTH,
Cathy

Actually, you might want to get a reply in writing from SU!, so email or snail mail them.

ditto.

IMHO, selling them outright to someone is the only way around the demo agreement.

However, sales tax may come into play here unless you keep it under the table. That's a whole new ball game/topic.

Oh, and DS is Demo Support. I still don't know what LLS stands for.

DS is demonstrator support 1-800-Stamp Up (782-6787)
Even if your not a demo, they should be able to answer any questions about the angel policy. They are very nice and helpful.

thanks everyone for all your help, i called that number Melissa, and they said she could not sell them there. she did say that i would be all right selling them to her though, but i think i will advise her not to even buy them. any store or little set up that lasts for more than a few days is illegal. so anyway thanks again

"I still don't know what LLS stands for"

Are you referring to LSS? If so, it means Local Scrapbook Store.
